Swolo
Just read through this thread completely in the past 4 days or so. What an absolutely amazing journey, and one which i hope will keep getting better and better Fantastic patience and perseverance to get this far It's also inspired me to almost certainly trying the same thing, most likely in sweden as well, as despite my initial hesitations of managing in sweden (being danish and all ) after looking through the leagues on fm2011, there just doesnt seem to be many other nations with the same amount of manageable tiers, which is a big factor for me. Can't wait to hear how the rest of this season has gone and hopefully the tord and continuing their meteoric rise as a football club
TheMaestro
What a great career!!!! Loved reading it!! Not sure if anyone has pointed it out, but Lyon have won the French League for every single season!! The Swedish league is inconsistent in terms of successful teams, which makes it more interesting!! Can't believe they didn't name the new stadium after you!!!

Nordan
I'm really impressed, most of these players wouldn't be more than backup in other swedish top clubs I think.
hrbfcrule
End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2038 League Table, League Graph Squad We had a fantastic start to the league, notching up 7 straight wins and conceding just once. However a loss in form towards the end of April put us back into reality. We seemed to pick it up a bit during the Champions League qualifiers which helped us stay around 1st place until another blip pushed us into 2nd. Fortunately it was quite a weak year in terms of opposition so despite this we still had a good chance to win the league going into the final few games. We did all we could but lost out on goal difference. Swedish Super Cup Lost out in extra time this time. Umea were the better team and deserved to win. Swedish Cup Fell in the 3rd Round again as we unluckily drew AIK away from home. Europe We didn't exactly have a glittering Champions League campaign as we struggled past Nyiregyhaza and Bodo-Glimt before our luck ran out against Partizan. The loss in the CL Playoff meant we went straighht into the Euro Cup group stage for the 1st time in our history. We were drawn with Rangers, Tottenham and Vitesse. Rangers and Vitesse were definately chances to get points but I didn't expect to get any from Tottenham. We narrowly lost to Rangers away, Tottenham thrashed us and we got unlucky twice against Vitesse. Will probably finish bottom but a reasonably good campaign none the less. U19's League Finished 3rd, some way off AIK and Assyriska. U19 Cup Got all the way to the final before losing 2-0 to IK Sirius. Youth Players (At the Club) Peter Jansson (YP33) - Had a pretty poor season but then again so did all our strikers. Hakan Larsson (YP35) - Was hampered by a couple of bad injuries, was really missed this seaosn as shown by our lack of goals. Jorgen Melki (YP37) - Still playing at a high level despite his age. Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Conceded just 17 in the league but his position will be under threat from Pierre Nilsson (YP67) in the coming seasons. Niclas Carlsson (YP39) - Was average all season but is slowly being pushed out the team by younger players. Erik Carlsson (YP41) - Didn't play many and I won't be renewing his contract so next season will be his last. Martin Hansson (YP43) - Played a lot better than in previous seasons but I'm not sure he will be able to keep it up. Joakim Dahlberg (YP44) - Didn't make an appearance and will be gone after next season. Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Not as good as the past few seasons but was still a handy player to have in midfield. Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Another injury hit season but when he played he played well. Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Played okay, not many goals but we struggled in general for goals anyway. Erik Mansson (YP50) - A fantastic season a good amount of assists + was a rock at the back. Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Even better than Erik Mansson (YP50), got a few goals and some assists. Just what I like to see in a fullback. Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Continued his good form from last season and went even better. Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Another defender to have a brilliant season. We were lucky they all did as our strikers were badly misfiring. Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Doing okay, was expecting more of him but I'm sure he'll come good. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Top scorer with just 9 this season, says it all really. Oskar Johansson (YP60) - Got a lot more game time but still struggled, may soon be out the door. Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Was probably one of the worst players this season but he is still young so I can forgive him. However his future is in doubt after he wanted ridiculous wage demands which I am not prepared to give to someone of his potential. Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Only made a few appearances due to the rest of our brilliant defenders. Olle Stenman (YP63) - Getting better, will soone be ready for a starting place. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Didn't build on last season at all, may be on his way if he doesn't pick it up. Adam Karlsson (YP65) - A great prospect but will struggle to get a 1st team place, what I would do for some decent mids or strikers to come through instead of a load of defenders Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - A poor debut season but has great potential Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - The long term replacement for Niclas Svensson (YP38) had a good 1st season and may be 1st choice sooner than thought. Retiring Players Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) League History Made 303 league appearances for the club and over 350 in all competitions. A great player for the club but he was in decline the past few years so it was probably his time to go. Have kept him on as a coach after he retired. Finances - £2.5M profit this season, need all the money we can get so we can expand our stadium. hrbfcrule
December 2038 Euro Cup Group E: Tord 0-3 Rangers I though we had a chance in this match but 2 own goals and a 91st min strike put an end to that. Didn't deserve to win but got unlucky with the goals we conceded. Euro Cup Group E: Tottenham 4-1 Tord Was always goign to be a case of how many. Luckily we almost managed to score a goal which is the 1st Tottenham had conceded in the groups. 2-0 down at half time, Oskar Johansson (YP60) got 1 back but the extremely unlikely hopes of a comeback were soon dashed by 2 more Tottenham goals. snootyjim
Great stuff Can't believe how long it's taken to get to this level, but hopefully it'll be enough to push the club on another notch.
Romanista1994
Great news on the facilities front. Those two new youth players look brilliant, Ceesay could be your own little Rooney.

hrbfcrule
March 2039 League: Tord 0-0 Kalmar FF A good start to the league but we were unable to find the winning goal. Stopped our opponents from getting a single shot on target though. League: GAIS 2-3 Tord Goals were flowing in this match. Tommy Eriksen (YP66) got our 1st and Anders Ceesay (YP68)'s 1st of his Tord career made it 2-0 before half time. Niclas Carlsson (YP39) continued the scoring in the 2nd half but GAIS hit back with 2 goals leading to a nervy finale in which we managed to edge out our opponents for our 1st win of the season. hrbfcrule
April 2039 League: Tord 2-0 IFK Goteborg A good win against tough opposition, Magnus Kjellman (YP45) gave us the lead 3 mins into the 2nd half and Jonas Andersson (YP49) sealed the win in the 86th min. League: Malmo FF 1-0 Tord The 1st loss of the season and our 1st major test of the season. We had the better of the chances but Malmo's composure in front of goal helped them win the match. League: Tord 1-0 Syrianska FC Anders Ceesay (YP68) was denied his 2nd goal of the season from a dodgy offside decision but justice was done when we grabbed the winner in the 91st min from an own goal. League: AIK 1-1 Tord Albin Carlsson (YP55) headed us in front just before half time after an even 1st half. AIK didn't take long to level it in the 2nd half, they then pushed on for the winner but we stood our ground to gain a point. League: Tord 1-0 IK Sirius A potentially difficult match turned out to be fairly easy, easier than the scoreline suggests. Anders Ceesay (YP68) netted the only goal of the game in just the 3rd min. hrbfcrule
Nice to see that your still going even though FM12 is released. Any idea when you plan to finish? Will probably finish when FM13 comes out What are you current finances, and how are your facilities rated on the information page? Finances The high expenses this season is due to the stadium expansion costing £6.5M. Speaking of stadium expansions, the board have accepted another one so hopefully the stdium will be expanded at the end of the season. Facilities I have also had an offer for upgrading the training facilities accepted.
Paolo Willenté
It's an awesome achievement! Are you finding yourself getting bored at all? What would you say the ultimate goal is? CL? Get that Youth Recruitment up!
hrbfcrule
May 2039 League: Helsingborg 2-1 Tord We had a poor 1st half where we conceded 2 silly goals. Anders Ceesay (YP68) got us back into the match in the 2nd half but we couldn't find an equaliser. Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Ramlosa Sodra p1-1 Tord We put out a weakened team but even so I expected to win it. After dominating for 2 hours we were still level. Oskar Johansson (YP60) had given us the lead in the 1st half but Ramlosa Sodra equalised midway through the 2nd. We then ballsed up the penalties, losing 4-2. League: Tord 2-0 Mjallby A goalless and dire 1st half was followed by a brilliant 2nd half. Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored after just a few seconds and Olle Stenman (YP63) added a 2nd not too long after. League: Orebro 1-2 Tord Albin Carlsson (YP55) gave us a deserved lead after 34 mins but we threw away our dominance in the 2nd half by conceding a soft goal. Luckily Viktor Andersson (YP53) was on hand to retake the lead late on in the match. League: Atvidaberg 0-2 Tord We left it very late but eventually we broke down the Atvidaberg resistance. Jorgen Melki (YP37) was the man to do it with a powerful header. Viktor Andersson (YP53) then hit them on the counter to seal the win in injury time. hrbfcrule
It's an awesome achievement! Are you finding yourself getting bored at all? What would you say the ultimate goal is? CL?Get that Youth Recruitment up! Not bored, just frustrated sometimes. That's partly why the updates aren't as frequent along with having to do a lot of work. Ultimate goal for the club is the CL but I would also like to try and win a World Cup with Sweden using only my youth players. I would get the youth recruitment up but it's always been greyed out for me
noikeee
Don't want to discourage you but seriously doubt you'll ever win the CL unless you can get the youth recruitment up. And that option being greyed out permanently may be an unavoidable bug...
the_greyham
its not a bug just unbeleivably hard to do, if he were in the epl he could get the youth recruitment up to max in about 5-6 seasons of constant cl wins. but it is possible to get a very good youth squad with state of the art training and youth. i have been following since day one and i will be here with HRB until fm13
Paolo Willenté
I read somewhere that the more scouts you get in with a wider range of country knowledge helps here... Don't know if that's true but it's worth giving it a go.
Swolo
Really hope you manage to keep it up, its a phenomenal journey, started one myself on the new football manager, it is so much fun when you keep bringing in youth players ive also learned how to sympathise with your previous problem of away form

hrbfcrule
June 2039 U21 Euro Quals Group 9: Switzerland U21's 0-1 Sweden U21's A good start to the campaign with probably the toughest match of it as well. Anders Ceesay (YP68) got the only goal of the game in his 1st international youth match. Friendly: Sweden U21's 2-0 Czech Rep U21's Struggled in the 1st half but really turned the screw in the 2nd. Jimmie Bergman and Daniel Hakansson got a goal apiece. League: Tord 5-3 Syrianska Kerburan What a way to entertain the crowd in our new expanded stadium. The expansion was finally complete and 14300 fans flocked to see us, 4000 more than usual. They were in for a treat as it turned into a goalfest, not something Tord fans see too often. Things started off badly as we conceded a 4th min penalty which was converted with ease. But we quickly turned the match around, Anders Ceesay (YP68) finished well after a great through ball by Erik Johanneson (YP56). Johanneson (YP56) then put Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) through 8 mins later, he made no mistake with the finish to make it 2-1. We conceded a sloppy goal from a corner before Albin Carlsson (YP55) scored from one of our own to make it 3-2 at half time. After halftime Olle Stenman (YP63) unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner. But again a sloppy backpass allowed them back into the game. That was until Jorgen Melki (YP37) walked the ball into the net from an Erik Johanneson (YP56) freekick. [video=youtube;u6ino9PbCmY] League: Assyriska 1-2 Tord Late drama got us the win after we had dominated for large periods of the game. Viktor Andersson (YP53) went on a solo run before blasting into the top corner after 70 mins. Albin Carlsson (YP55) doubled our advantage after Assyriska failed to clear their lines froma cross. They got a consolation but we held on for the 3 points. League: Tord 4-1 Djurgarden Another goalfest infront of our bigger stadium making it 13 goals in 2 games, 9 of which were ours. All 5 in this match were scored within half an hour of another. Jorgen Melki (YP37) netted after just 9 mins from a corner and again in the 27th min from a cross. Anders Ceesay (YP68) got our 3rd just 5 mins later and just 3 mins after that Jonas Andersson (YP49) headed home from a brilliant cross by Erik Mansson (YP50). We conceded again from a corner but we were never going to throw away a 4 goal lead.
