SRL88
Average season really by the standards which you have previously set. To many draws!!! How do you think you should fair in your Champions League group?
hrbfcrule
I decided to quit the Sweden U21 job as it was getting on my nerves and I couldn't really take them any further. To many draws!!!How do you think you should fair in your Champions League group? Yer we have bottled it a bit this season. I'm hoping for a few points against Celtic but I don't expecting anything from the other games.
hrbfcrule
September 2039 League: Tord 0-0 Helsingborg We got played out the park by a dominant Helsingborg side. You wouldn't have thought we were the home team. Despite this we still managed to scrape a point. Champions League Group E: Celtic 1-1 Tord A fantastic start to our Champions League campaign. Admittedly it was very much a smash and grab but a point's a point. Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored 4 mins before half time to give us a shock lead. Celtic equalised half way through the nd half but we held on for an amazing point. League: Tord 1-0 IK Sirius It took us a while to break down their defence but eventually Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) did 10 mins from time. League: Mjallby 1-2 Tord We got off to a flying start with Albin Carlsson (YP55) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) scoring inside the 1st quarter of the match. A 2-0 lead can be dangerous and we almost suffered from it. Mjallby scored early in the 2nd half as we sat back on our lead but in the end we held on. A great way to mark Jorgen Melki (YP37)'s 419 league appearance for the club taking him past Peter Jansson (YP33)'s record and making him the club's most capped player. Champions League Group E: Tord 0-4 Lyon We played reasonably well, restricting them to long shots for the most part. However just like any good team they scored a few of those long shots as well as from a couple of our defensive mistakes.

hrbfcrule
October 2039 League: Tord 2-0 Orebro A great display in which we could have had 4 or 5 but had to make do with just 2. From an own goal and a 90th min strike from Jonas Andersson (YP49). League: Tord 2-1 Atvidaberg We went down in the 3rd min but struck back instantly with another Jonas Andersson (YP49) goal. Albin Carlsson (YP55) then headed home the winner in the 55th min to put us securely into 3rd place. Champions League Group E: Tord 1-6 Liverpool An awful display the only redeeming feature being our goal which came from Martin Hansson (YP43) from the penalty spot. League: Atvidaberg 4-2 Tord Really should have won against this lowly team butwe collapsed by conceding 4 in half an hour. Jonas Andersson (YP49) and Alexander Pettersson (YP61) got goals back for us but it was too late.
hrbfcrule
November 2039 Champions League Group E: Liverpool 3-1 Tord A much improved display although it wasn't looking that way as went went 3 down inside the opening 20 mins. We recovered well and Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) even grabbed a consolation late on. League: Tord 1-1 Syrianska Kerburan We dominated but as with a lot of matches this season we failed to break the opposition down. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) eventually did in the 79th min but Syrianska hit back in th 6th min of injury time to ruin our end of season. We still got 3rd place which gets us into the Euro Cup next season. Champions League Group E: Tord 3-4 Celtic We were so unlucky not to have won this match let alone lost it. The win would have guaranteed us 3rd place in the group and a place in the Euro Cup knockout rounds. But it was not to be, we came from behind 3 times before eventually losing in the 90th min. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) got a brace and Jonas Andersson (YP49) scored the other.

hrbfcrule
End of Season Report: IK Tord, Swedish Premier Division 2039 League Table, League Graph Squad We started off alright but our steam quickly ran out. We may have only lost 1 of our opening 14 games but too many draws cost us. By May/June/July we had hit a really poor run of form which eventually cost us the title and almost our European place. Only a good run of form towards the end of the season saved us from complete embarrassement and we eventually got 3rd place and a spot in the Euro Cup. Swedish Super Cup Lost out on penalties to Helsingborg. Swedish Cup Scraped past Atvidaberg on penalties after a 3-3 draw before falling to Mjallby in the next round. Europe Walked past Sutjeska with a 4-2 aggregate win in the 2nd qual round. In the next round we got Haka, a 0-0 draw in the 1st leg set up a tense 2nd leg. We looked down and out after we were 3-0 down but an incredible comeback saw us win 4-3 with 2 goals in injury time. Then a big shock saw us match Austria Wien at their place and come away with a 2-0 win. We lost the next leg 2-1 but we won on aggregate. We got Lyon, Liverpool and Celtic. We have now had Liverpool 3 times in the 4 European Groups we have been drawn in (Once in Euro Groups and twice in Champs League). U19's League Finished 5th as AIK walked it again. No cup run to speak of. Youth Players (At the Club) Jorgen Melki (YP37) - Still going strong, maybe not at as high level as he once was but still a useful player. Niklas Svensson (YP38) - Another solid season for him, soon his time will be up though. Niclas Carlsson (YP39) - Is getting much worse maybe his next season is his last. Only useful for his versatility at the moment. Martin Hansson (YP43) - Played ok, still hasn't nailed down his 1st team place and probably never will. Magnus Kjellman (YP45) - Had a couple of injuries but was still one of our best players this season. Hakan Neilsen (YP47) - Didn't play as well as he has done but was still one of our best player of the season. Jonas Andersson (YP49) - Probably our player of the season, he took responsibility of main goalscorer. Was priceless for us throughout the season. Erik Mansson (YP50) - Got a few assists and was decent at the back. Roger Magnusson (YP52) - Average season, lets hope he can go back to last season's form . Viktor Andersson (YP53) - Was reasonable in midfield, probably our best midfielder this season. Albin Carlsson (YP55) - Competent season, was much better in the league than in the cups. Erik Johannesson (YP56) - Back to struggling after half a season of good form. Sebastian Jeppsson (YP59) - Was our 2nd top scorer with 9 goals, not good at all. Oskar Johansson (YP60) - Starting to come into the 1st time but his ridiculous wage demands is really damaging his future at the club. Alexander Petterson (YP61) - Was again terrible and I refuse to pay him 1.8k a week so he will most likely play out his contract. Victor Lindgren (YP62) - Looked our most competent defender when he got given a chance. Looks up for fighting for his place despite fierce competition. Olle Stenman (YP63) - Has got just 1 year left to impress me otherwise I will not be renewing his contract. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) - Showed signs of his potential, there is still much more of him to come. Adam Karlsson (YP65) - Continued to fight his way into the team and is now getting quite a few appearances Tommy Eriksson (YP66) - Had his moments but was generally pretty poor Pierre Nilsson (YP67) - Only a few appearances this season but should be a lot more next season. Dejan Ohlsson (YP68) - A poor debut season but I expect a lot more from him in the future. Retiring Players Peter Jansson (YP33) League History The club's most prolific goalscorer and one of our most capped players. It has finally come to an end :'(. 146 league goals in 418 league games and 171 total goals in 489 games. A true legend. Hakan Larsson (YP35) League History Another legend who decided to call time on his career. Was renowned for his numerous assissts, 103 in 396 league appearances. 124 in 468 in all competitions. Erik Carlsson (YP41) League History Less of a legend than the other two but still a sad day. He was at the end of his contract but he decided he didn't want a new club and decided to retire instead. 245 league appearances with 40 goals (50 goals in his 291 appearances in all competitions). Finances - £1.21M profit this season, need all the money we can get so we can expand our stadium. hrbfcrule
December 2039 Champions League Group E: Lyon 5-0 Tord Our final game in the group and probably the toughest one. As we were effectively our bar a miracle win I used this match as a testimonial for Peter Jansson (YP33) and Hakan Larsson (YP35). Neither did anything special but at least their last match for us was against a top club. I also started a few new youths in this match as we had a very good intake for once as you shall see in the pre season update. We were outplayed completely as expected although we did have our moments in the 2nd half. The only other thing worth mentioning is Lyon's new home ground which they named "OL Land" Managed to gain a point and should have had a few more, maybe we are improving. At least we didn't do the worst in the competition, that award goes to Dinamo who lost all 6 of their group games conceding 38 and scoring just once (Results: 7-0, 7-1, 2-0, 11-0, 4-0, 7-0)

leonavich
Can't wait to see the youth prospects that are coming through for this season. Lets hope one is a striker, as I think you have lacked that lethal finisher this season. A shame about the league form, but maybe a little bit less expectation will allow this new group of youngsters to have more of an impact in the first team. Good luck in getting back up to the top and good luck in your save holding on for this long! My game died at 2044-45 season

goktugerce
Wow, when I began to read this career last night I didn't thought it still continues. This is the best FM career I've ever seen! Adventurous choice, great patience and excellent continuation. Keep up the good work dude, can't wait for a Champions League win. After your youth facilities become State of Art, noone will stop you in about 6-7 years. It would be amazing to have a stadium named "Parker Stadium" and win CL with club's own players. Good luck on that!

hrbfcrule
I think Nordgren looks the best of the lot, especially once his physicals develop. Yer a great prospect. My game died at 2044-45 season Unlucky about losing your save so far into the game. You are definitely right about lacking a lethal finisher, I really do need someone who I can rely on getting me goals. I've had Johan Bystrom (YP2), Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) and Peter Jansson (YP33) in the past but no one has replaced them. Some excellent friendly results there... I sense sarcasm Oskar Svedborg looks an absolute gem, and Eddie Rubin isnt half bad either. Nice stadium boost there too, whats your capacity at?? Best thread on the forum, long may it live on! hrbfcrule
March 2040 League: Helsingborg 0-2 Tord We are off to winning ways and also a great way to celebrate my 1000th game in charge of Tord. Jonas Andersson (YP49) took charge of the match and scored twice in the 2nd half. Maybe he is finally going to show his true colours after Peter Jansson (YP33) retired. League: Tord 1-0 Elfsborg Eddie Rubin (YP72) scored his 1st goal for the club in his 2nd appearance. My plan is to give him as much game time as possible this season in the hope he will improve quickly. League: Orebro 2-3 Tord A fantastic 1st half followed by the inevitable collapse and nervy 2nd half. Stefan Hedlund (YP64) scored with 23 seconds of kickoff and things got better when Albin Carlsson (YP55) and Magnus Kjellman (YP45) added 2 more to make it 3-0 at the break. In the 2nd half we conceded almost straight away as well as a 2nd with 15 mins left. Thankfully we didn't blow the lead and held on to continue our 100% record. hrbfcrule
April 2040 League: Tord 1-0 Umea FC A 4th consecutive win but boy did we leave it late, Jonas Andersson (YP49) tapped home in the 92nd min as our dominance finally paid off. League: Malmo 3-0 Tord There goes our 100% record and in some style too. We collapsed to 2-0 after just 17 mins and never recovered. Malmo hammered us for 90 mins and eventually added a 3rd but we were lucky it wasn't a real hiding. League: Tord 2-2 Gefle Still recovering from our thrashing at Malmo. We really struggled even though we were at home to a weak team. We took the lead from an own goal but Gefle hit back instantly. In the 2nd half we looked much better and again we took the lead through another own goal from the same guy :o just wasn't his game. Just as we were closing the game out Gefle hit back with a late equaliser. We should have won but we were clearly not at our best. League: Mjallby 1-1 Tord A 3rd successive game without a win. Oskar Svedberg (YP69) scored his 1st for the club from the penalty spot in the 39th min but this time Mr own goal was against us as we conceded from one. League: Tord 2-1 Assyriska Finally back to winning ways, Albin Carlsson (YP55) scored after just 7 mins to give us the lead which was doubled in 1st half injury time by Alexander Pettersson (YP61). Jorgen Melki (YP37) could have made it 3 and sealed the game early in the 2nd half but he skyed it from the spot. We were almost made to regret it when Assyriska got 1 back but it was too late for them to get a 2nd.

hrbfcrule
May 2040 League: Atvidaberg 2-4 Tord Albin Carlsson (YP55) gave us the lead almost instantly from the kick off but that was cancelled out just 15 mins later. The 1st half looked like it was fizzling out as both teams were happy with a draw at half time. But in the dying seconds Hakan Neilsen (YP47) took the lead, this goal proved crucial as it gave us a much needed morale boost going into the 2nd half. Roger Magnusson (YP52) and Hakan Neilsen (YP47) scored again in the 2nd half to give us an unassailable lead although they did get a consolation. League: Kalmar FF 1-1 Tord We started slowly and it cost us dearly. Firstly we conceded a penalty which was thankfully saved before Kalmar did take the lead a few mins late. We improved int he 2nd half and eventually Jonas Andersson (YP49) got us our reward 3 mins from time. League: Tord 0-0 IK Sirius A 2nd consecutive draw sees us drop to 2nd place. We should have won this one, it's matches like these which we need to win to once again lift the title. Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Tord 0-2 GAIS A put out a 2nd string side who played exceptionally well and definately did not deserve to lose let alone by 2 goals. They scored against the run of play and from then on its just one of the games where no matter what you do you will not be able to score. Then to add insult to injury they added a 2nd on the counter attack in the 90th min. League: Tord 1-1 IFK Goteborg Back to the league and back to more draws. We have been given a nice little home run but have yet to win from it which is very disappointing. Another match we arguably should have won despite going behind early on. Jonas Andersson (YP49) equalised soon after but we were unable to push on and get a winner. League: Tord 3-2 Syrianska Kerburan Our poor form looked like it was going to continue against bottom team Syrainska Kerburan when they took the lead with their 1st shot midway through the 1st half. We had dominated them and continued to dominate them without any luck. Until right before half time when our pressure told as their defender put into his own net. We continued to push in the 2nd half with Erik Johannesson (YP56) and Jonas Andersson (YP49) adding to our tally before they got a consolation to take some of the gloss off the scoreline. League: AIK 1-0 Tord More dropped points which really shouldn't have been dropped. We destroyed them but just couldn't score as per usual. Then in final 20 or so mins as usual they scored from one of their few chances. Really frustrating. In brighter news our stadium expansion has been completed meaning we now have a capacity of 20950 all seated

hrbfcrule
How are your attendances going? Do you need further upgrades to the stadium or is it no big deal? It's not a priority at the moment, I'd rather the training facilities were improved more. Before the stadium upgrade we got around 15k/match. Since the upgrade we are drawing in around 17k. So with a 21k stadium we won't need an expansion for a while I think.
hrbfcrule
July 2040 League: Tord 1-0 GAIS Revenge for the cup defeat to them back in May. Jonas Andersson (YP49) struck just before half time to give us the slender win over GAIS. Just about deserved. League: Tord 1-0 Helsingborg A 2nd consecutive 1-0 and boy was this one lucky. We looked all out of sorts the whole match but struck in injury time through Alexander Pettersson (YP61) with our 1st meaningful attack of the match. League: Umea FC 3-1 Tord We started poorly and almost immediately went behind. Jonas Andersson (YP49) brought us level in the 17th min with a great strike from outside the area. In the end Umea were too good for us as they scored twice in the final 15 mins to kill the game off.
hrbfcrule
August 2040 Euro Cup 3rd Qual Rnd 1st Leg: Tord 0-1 Bohemians 1905 A shock home loss to Bohemians. They took the lead in the 6th min and you know the story. They defended for their lives and we just couldn't find the net. League: Elfsborg 0-0 Tord The Europa night really took it out of us as we laboured to a bore draw against Elfsborg. Euro Cup 3rd Qual Rnd 2nd Leg: Bohemians FC (3) 2-1 (1) Tord Boheminas show it wasn't just a flash in the pan as we pay for our incompetence in front of goal in the 1st leg. They took the lead in the 35th min so I decided to just go all out as we were not playing well and we needed 2 goals. This backfired as they hit us on the counter 10 mins into the 2nd half. Tommy Eriksson (YP66) got a consolation but it was too little too late as we go crashing out of Europe at the 1st hurdle. It's not all bad news inEurope for Sweden though. Umea FC almost progressed to the CL groups but lost out on away goals to Red Star. This means they go into the Euro Cup Groups instead. AIK will join them in the groups as they went though by beating AEK Athens in the 4th Qualifying Round. Umea got Chelsea, Panathinaikos and sc Heerenveen in their group and AIK got Liverpool, Wolfsburg and St Etienne. Go on guys do Sweden proud. League: Tord 0-0 Orebro More dropped points through poor finishing. So frustrating as we should be miles ahead in this league if we had a competent striker. League: Tord 1-1 Malmo FF Another good display and we actually managed to score this time. Jonas Andersson (YP49) netting 4 mins into the 2nd half. not 5 mins later we score again this time into our own net to gift Malmo a point. sigh. League: Gefle 0-1 Tord Our 1st win in 7 games which says it all really. Alexander Pettersson (YP61) got it with 10 mins remaining. We've been really poor recently, luckily so has everyone else. the down side to that is its made the league really tight going into the final stretch. Maybe the lack of European games will help us.
