  1. I don't recall in the same save. But over the years (IRL), I saw myself getting offers to lead QPR and Fiorentina way more often than not. After a few times, I decided not to accept offers to run these two clubs again, because the experience was quite similar with the same lackluster results.
  2. Can you please add options, company names and logos (real or fake) in the sponsorship area that is under Finance? (Look the image below, it's so bland and unappealing). Next level for FM would be to allow us to choose sponsors at the end of the season (probably realistic in smaller clubs) or, at least, let the Board take my suggestions into consideration. Make Sponsorships more interactive, exciting and visually appealing. Thanks.
  3. Playing Uruguay for two seasons. Got promoted to first division, then was able to stay up, but I don't understand sorting and relegation rules (something about "average points", what's that?...). Why was Wanderers relegated? See rules and table below. It's not too fun to play a league without knowing the rules...
  4. Can you add more options when the club offers me contract renewal? For example, coaching badge courses (this is available in job interviews, but not in contract renewals). Be more creative please and add more interesting stuff, such as adding staff, improving facilities, getting new sponsors, etc. etc.. Thanks. PS: how about severance pay (if I'm sacked early), board voting (realistic in tiny clubs), etc?... Please be creative...
  5. More out of curiosity, what colors do you ascribe to your player attributes (ranges). I see yellow often used as a good thing, although it universally means caution or mediocre. I like green and white for higher attributes, and darker colors for poor attributes (and am unsure about yellow) but am open to improve this. What color scheme works best for you to visualize player attributes?
  6. Question: what is the local folder path to import/export my squad views please? I lost it and can't locate it (it seems it is not under Documents?...). Thanks in advance
  7. Hey. Cool stuff. A bit unrelated to your issue, but would you recommend Create a Club over Career mode? What's pros and cons? Thanks!
  8. PS: Got a nice job at Colwyn Bay (Welsh second division). Climbing up the league table quite easily.
  9. Activated charcoal shampoo doesn't make hair grow, but it does help.
  10. Not because of name, but I suspect I'm biased toward hiring real players over cartoonish regens...
  11. All I remember is setting prices for tickets, hamburgers and drinks, and main clubs of choice were in the second or third English division (or maybe my cousins liked to start there). Not even 2D simulation, we just saw the half-time score, made subs, and then the final score.
  12. I just started a new journeyman on my brand new laptop. From unemployment, I had a very short stint at Angered BK (Swedish 4th division), about 10 matches only. I joined the club towards the final third of the season, so didn't have enough time to save it from relegation. I completed my first coach badge after being sacked (there is no fifth division in Sweden FM), and it helps me to apply for jobs in slightly better clubs. A good number of clubs from Wales, Denmark and Sweden approached me, but I'm waiting for a better offer tonight or tomorrow...
  13. Job interview. This is a pretty relaxed work environment...
  14. The total number of players has an impact on the payroll for sure, but I start by looking at how many players I have in each position. It often happens that the total number of players isn't bad (20-30), but rather that there is an excess of players in the same positions and a lack of players in others. Moreover, I often find a couple of mediocre players with very high salaries (usually, ageing/retiring big names). So, I try to offload these expensive old players as well as those excess players. If I can't sell them fast, I try to loan them to cover (some of) their salaries. Yes, there is complaining by fans and board but I don't really care. It will go away...
  15. Good question. I do hope it's separate databases and even saves. I'd hate to see one more feature that I don't use slowing down my already sluggish saves...
  16. This is my main current concern, as I'm about to buy a new laptop (mid-tier ROG Strix G17 2023). Will Unity engine require vastly superior specs?... I'm hopeful but cautiously optimistic about the announcement. I have lost the count of FM press releases announcing "revolutionary new features this year" that turned out to be a flop...
  17. Thanks for your thoughts. You may have seen Miles' blog post announcing that FM25 will run on Unity engine. Do you think the laptop I showed will be able to handle it? Here's the same link for your convenience. Thanks. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-strix-17-144hz-gaming-laptop-1920x1080-fhd-amd-ryzen-9-7845hx-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-1tb-ssd-eclipse-gray/6537564.p?skuId=6537564 PS: This is what Miles's post says about FM25 Unity: "The switch to Unity is going to give us a lot more power graphically, across all formats, alongside powerful user interface tools. We’ve been working closely with Unity over the last few years to be able to deliver a whole new UI which will dramatically improve the ways you are able to interact with the game, both inside and outside of a matchday. Unity's Universal Render Pipeline (URP) allows us to create more optimal graphics across a range of platforms, from mobile to high-end consoles and PC/Mac - but we're also adding some enhancements on top. The switch to Unity means there is the possibility of better-quality graphics across all supported devices, however it should be expected that there will be some changes to the minimum spec requirements, which will be communicated ahead of FM25’s release. For those of you who are not familiar with gaming technologies – in simple terms, FM25 will have a significantly better looking matchday experience - both on the pitch and the supporting stadium environments, alongside a vastly improved user interface that will dramatically improve how you navigate through screens and access all the information available to you as manager. We’ll also have new technology for Newgens and manager creation which are already looking really promising at this early stage."
  18. You can set individual training/rest to automatic. Go to Rest under the Training Page, and reduce the workload according to physical condition. It helps reducing injuries.
  19. Practice meditation. You can meditate about your feelings about FM. It shall pass...
  20. My Alienware 17 R5 still runs FM23 in 3D pretty well, but its 5 years start to show a little... In researching mid-tier gaming laptops, it seems that Asus Strix G series is a good option these days. (It now incorporates high-end parts from former Strix Scar, one of the highest performing laptops in its category). My question is more about future performance. Would this machine allow me to play FM comfortably for the next 5 years or so, or should I aim for higher specs?... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-strix-17-144hz-gaming-laptop-1920x1080-fhd-amd-ryzen-9-7845hx-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-1tb-ssd-eclipse-gray/6537564.p?skuId=6537564 Thanks for your insights.
  21. Both are very important. They improve your attributes and prestige, so you'll be more effective in training and in board/player interactions. Also, they improve your stars which is a close proxy of the type of clubs that will be willing to offer you a job. All of this takes time, you won't see dramatic differences in just one season.
  22. Needless to say, ensure other programs running in the background are off. A little weird tip that works for me: when my match screen starts to jerk, I press the Windows key (between Fn and Alt keys on my keyboard) to open the Start window. The jerkiness immediately stops. I then click on the match, and problem is gone for a long while.
  23. Spot on. I changed my currency to British pounds and numbers were rounded. Yet, it would be awesome if FM could round for any currency. Thanks for the note.
  24. Numerical options (salaries, bonus, transfers) are not logical, featuring a mélange of random numbers that make no sense (see image for example). Why is that? It's been like this since always. Rounding them would provide a better experience, to visualize and make decision, and probably with less clicking. Can you please round all numbers?
