This is a bummer but realistic to add this one. I never saw or heard of a goalkeeper being injured and substituted during a match. Result is that no one bothers to have a sub goalie in the bench, just in case. Adding this possibility would make the game more realistic and exciting.

Have you noticed that FM players never hug or touch after a goal? Would these animations be too complicated to add in FM24?... It could vary from a simple high five, to a hug, to a team dance, to a collective pile of players on the grass... This could vary according to the player's personality or attributes... It would add a bit of more fun!

There's a classic book on urban sociology titled "Who's Your City", which is all about cities' attractiveness to knowledge-economy professionals. But I digress... Based on my interactions with the Board, better training facilities, better staff, and higher league are big factors of attractiveness. I also noticed that younger kids are often reluctant to move to a different continent... (Remember Inter Milan's Adriano who returned to his native shantytown in Rio because he was homesick...)

Great question. FM YouTubers (Zealand) recommend doing nothing. For me, it depends on how my formation aligns with the opponent: I use trap inside when I have 1 or 2 DMs and the opponent's wings are very active. I use trap outside when I have no DMs and opponent's midfielders are quite dominant. Oftentimes I do nothing. Open to learn more about this.

There is a Resign button as @Hovis Dexter pointed out. But I really like your idea of recommending someone else to take over your job (such as an exit interview with the Board)! Suggest this in the New Features forum?

Nein. Your files are lost for ever. I learned the hard way... Make sure to use rolling auto save option. PS: In FM mythology, exiting FM/Steam every night may help reset your save's algorithm, specially if you are having a bad run... (But don't quote me on that...)

Hello. I delegate press interviews to my ass manager. But if I delegate hiring, firing, and training of players and staff, I'll find that AI will hire players I don't need, sell players at a lower value I can get, waste money hiring and firing staff and give coaching badges to staff I want to fire, not to mention renewing contracts that should be left on a month by month basis or terminated. It misses out on much needed optimization. These are main examples I recall from top of my head.

Can you please remove this from FM? It doesn't make any sense. How does any player know that the club can't afford him?!...

I like the idea but unfortunately I delegate very little when I'm running small to mid size clubs (or I delegate things that have little impact in my club performance). The reason is that AI frequently makes decisions that are quite unrealistic. IF AI were more realistic, I'd delegate as much as possible. My motto here is not whatever it takes to win but whatever it takes to make FM more realistic...

It's often the case in the gaming industry that developers keep things easy, so to increase engagement and time spent by the majority of occasional players. Your datapoint above clearly shows that FM is quite easy for most gamers. SI should do something about it, for example, give preference options, so the player can decide to make the AI easier or harder to beat.

Hello. Not "feeling it" is common but, the way you described it surprised me a bit. Memorizing names of AI players and league table leaders, or worrying about not getting into cumbersome, poorly designed game features don't sound very appealing to me either. Maybe you've outgrown FM a bit, maybe you have a healthier relationship with the game. There is a limit in the number of hours or mental energy we should be spending with any video game. So, kudos for you, you are not memorizing names of AI players or wasting your time with flawed FM features! You can still find enjoyment in a different perspective and rhythm with FM. You'll get it. Congrats!

Newgens are newly generated players (often with cartoon faces). Regens are regenerated players, after they retire their profile may reappear somewhere in the game. Once real players retire after 20 seasons, all you have is these artificial players. I'm not a big fan of fake players, but some people don't mind it.

Only one save at a time, usually as a journeyman. Over the year, I may have started a few saves, but never play them simultaneously. Each save lasts between 3 and 6 months, I'd guess. I'd like to stick to one save per FM version, but I don't like newgens much, so I end up back to starting a new save with the real players database.

Thanks for your replies. So, I finally got this club to fund my first coaching badge in this save. Out of curiosity, I saved an alternative file and RESIGNED to see if I'd still be enrolled in the course or not. First, the club begged me to stay and offered to increase the transfer budget. I said no and left. To my surprise, though fully unemployed, my profile still showed that I was studying for a license. So, once the club has paid for your tuition, you're in for the license even if you leave the club. (That would have been very mean on my part. I dropped the alternative save, went back to my original save, and signed a new contract.)

I'm playing Ellera Calcio, a tiny club in Italy's fifth division. I want to leave because my Board won't pay for a coaching badge training. In fact, I let my contract expire and am on a month-to-month basis while applying for jobs elsewhere. Funny that my club keeps coming back to me to offer a new contract and my team is doing really well, but they still don't want to fund a badge. I've asked some 3 or 4 times already... As it stands, there is no way for me to communicate to the Board that I'll only stay if they pay for a coaching badge course. A shame FM doesn't allow me to negotiate this in a new contract. Any tips, or... this is it?...

Hi. There is an easy fix to fix Brazilian club names. Just google and you'll find how to replace a few files.

I understand that I can unfollow a variety of topics by accessing the Inbox -> Social Feed -> Manage button. Even so however, there are many emails about the club and youth team issues that are not essential, and I'd like to unsubscribe them as well. Thanks.
