  1. Lucas Assadi Alex Scott Mika Biereth First 2 are amazing.. Biereth is hit n miss. Although if he has a good PA then makes for a very good target forward.
  2. I'd love a Cardiff one if anyone ever see's them taken over.. In my many attempts I've never gotten a tycoon takeover. Just an internal one and turned into a PLC
  3. This lad cost me £3.2m from Univ. De Chile. Perfect inverted winger who performs fantastically. Only 18 or 19 at start of the game, Could do a good job right from the start.
  4. Any idea if it is possible via the pregame editor to 'Retire' a shirt number.. If so, Can someone point me in the right direction. I hate that the game assigns the number 13 shirt to players. And I've a bad habit of forgetting to check who it assigns that number to.
  5. Not really, Just be careful to not add too many extra in. One or two is fine. I tend to have my Full backs push up and mark the opposition wingers tighter or I'll have one of the centre mids sit tight to oppositions best midfielder or even have my Striker tight to their CB
  6. Is it not a combination of different things? Location, League, League position etc?
  7. Thiago eventually leaves in a £8m move to Inter Milan, However we pay 60k per week till the end of the season. A small price to pay considering it shifted 165k off the wage bill and a small fee. Josko Gvardiol is in talks for a £56m move. I don't really need him, Nor was he a target. I simply bid on him to spite Man Utd who had targeted him However his versatility will come in handy, I am tempted to try and convert him into a HB as think he could excel at the base of the Mid. He's strong, Decent pace, passing, tackling, aggressive.. Ideal, If his versatility is high enough to do so.
  8. I accepted a bid from Napoli for him. £10m. He turned them down Joe Gomez was unhappy at not getting much playing time. But with VVD, Konate and Zabarnyi ahead of him I decided to let him go - PSG for £40m and replaced him with Antonio Silva for £45m Fabio Miretti was listed at Juventus for only £30m so was promptly snapped up, He'll go out on loan this season as he's been vastly underused at Juve and I need to get him games on a regular basis. And have offered Milan £33m plus Thiago (Who they have a minor interest in) for Sandro Tonali
  9. Season 2 done.. League wasn't such a stroll this year. However we still managed to win the League, A lot closer than I would have liked 85pts. City 2nd on 82pts. Spurs and Arsenal in the other Champs league positions. We did win the league with a few games to spare so got to give a fair bit of game time to those who weren't regulars which eventually led to City closing that gap to just 3 points. W26 D7 L5 Carabao Cup - Bournemouth were simply not anywhere near us and a 4-0 win cemented the trophy 2 years in a row. FA Cup. Disappointing loss against Newcastle.. 1-0 down we got it back to 1-1 then we fell apart handing them 2 goals within 12 minutes. Salah pulled one back for us, but in our need to grab a goal I went a little too gung ho and they grabbed a fourth to win 4-2 Champions league - strolled out of the groups to face Lazio in the last 16, 3-0 win away, 3-0 win at home sent us through to face Barca. A much tougher tie we lost 3-2 away. Meaning we had to pull a rabbit out of the hat in the return. It took until the 78th Min to get the Breakthrough, Mo Salah scoring. However VVD put into his own net in the 81st min. Leaving us needing a goal to pull us level. In the 90th minute King Mo smashed one in, the crowd went wild. But that wasn't the end of it. 90th + 6 mins up pops the King again to score his 3rd and send us through to the semi finals to face PSG. A 3-1 win away set us up nicely for the return at Anfield where an incredible VVD scored 4 in a 6-2 win to send us through. The final see's us face off against all too familiar faces. Man City. A very tense game ended 1-1 at FT and no further goals in ET see's a penalty shootout where Alisson becomes the hero with 2 saves from City players giving us a 6-5 win. Champions for the 2nd year in a row. Top Scorer this season was Nunez with 36 goals, Salah got 34 and VVD an Incredible 24. Trent was highest assists on 24, Carvalho and Robbo on 15 each and Zaniolo on 14 Still not been able to sell Thiago who is now 33. Milner will retire at end of the season. With regards to the rest of the squad VVD is 32, Hendo is 33, Salah and Ali are 31 and Fabinho 30. These will be the ones I look at finding replacements for soon enough. VVD and Ali are the ones I will find toughest to replace. VVD is such a rock and scores so many from corners for us. Ali has gotten most clean sheets 2 years running. £194m sits in the transfer kitty. But no clue where I will strengthen the squad just yet. Not sure whether to go big on an already established international player to compliment Bellingham/Barella/Elliot or whether to go for potential. Reserves wise. A lot of what we have in the reserves I'll most likely sell off as Don't see many of them getting close to first team. Especially since I had 2 gems in the Youth Candidates last season. Never paid much attention to them till now. Starting to look like 2 prospective first teamers/backups.
  10. 3 different ones. Dependant on opposition/Player availability Main Tactic is a 4-2-1-3 - 2 Segundo Volante with a Mezzala in front of them. 2 Shadow strikers and 1 Striker. 2nd Tactic is a more attacking 4-2-3-1 - A HB beside a combo of DM/Or Segundo Volante (dependant on quality of opposition) with 2 Shadow Strikers with an AM on support sandwiched between topped off with the customary single striker 3rd Tactic is a 4-1-2-1-2 Boxed Diamond - HB behind a BWM and Mezzala/CM on Attack. Infront of those is 1 shadow striker with an AF and DLF combo upfront. Nunez usually the DLF
  11. Summer window done and dusted.. Transfers in were exactly as stated in post Above : Bellingham £87m, Alejandro Balde £31m, Illia Zabarnyi £11m and Nicolo Barella P/EX - Total £129m Transfers out were : Anderson Arroyo £1.8m which was his clause in his loan, Jota £60m, Keita £25m + Barella, Firmino £37m, Tsimikas £30m, Matip £25m as well as Releasing almost all the U21 and U18. Of those that stayed a few went out on loan while a couple that made the summer cut ended up sold in January - Total £183m Tried my hardest to sell Thiago but no one would take him off my hands. Even at a reduced price of £10m Charity Shield we beat City again 2-1. An experimental side consisting of some youth and a few senior stars somehow snagged a win despite being under great duress for majority of the match. Into the Carabao Cup final. We have beat Leicester, Millwall, Wolves and Arsenal and will face surprise finalists Bournemouth Champions league. We coasted through our group which consisted of Milan, Atletico Madrid and Young Boys. We face Lazio in the last 16 League - Despite not feeling as consistent as we were last season we are currently top after 26 games with 6 draws and 1 loss on the Record to Chelsea a 4-2 loss away from home where we had to field a couple of players that weren't match ready (At this point I was missing both LB's, Trent & Fabinho had to play despite only just recovered from injury, Salah was out and had to field Gomez at LB who got roasted the whole game by Sterling!)
  12. The league eventually turned into a bit of a breeze. 89 points takes the title ahead of Man City by 14 points. Arsenal in 3rd and Man Utd took 4th. Strolled through to the Carabao cup Final where Man City were no match in an eventual 3-1 win. FA Cup - The replay against City proved to be a simple task. A 2-0 win courtesy of 2 headers from VVD secured the win. From there on in it was simple case of dispatching Blackpool, Brighton, Wolves in extra time to setup a final against Aston Villa. Villa sent out a strong team while I sent out the backups and those in need of games. A bore draw in normal time followed up by a similar ET period led to pens. Kelleher saved 2 pens giving us a 4-3 win Champions league. Barca came and got dispatched 4-2 on Agg. Next up came the mighty PSG. A massive 7-1 win at Anfield where we were 4-0 up within the first 15 mins proved more than enough despite losing the 2nd leg 2-1. Old foes Man City were next to be dispatched. 2-2 at the Emptihad followed up with a 4-1 Anfield win took us through to the final and the scenes of The single best comeback in Champions league history - Turkey - Ataturk Stadium to face Inter Milan. Inter proved to be no match where we spanked them 5-0 Salah finished the season with 55 goals in all comps, VVD had 29 goals one of them a volley from edge of area that nestled in top corner. Should have been goal of the season! Trent finished season with 41 assists in all comps. Robbo had 16 and Gakpo with 18. Season 2 upcoming.. Already settled on a few transfers. Incoming : Jude Bellingham triggered his full release of £87m and paid it all upfront. Alejandro Balde was listed at Barca - He joins for £20m upfront & £11m in installments. Nicolo Zaniolo joins from Galatasaray for £16m + £3.2m in clauses. Bids submitted for Ilia Zabarnyi - £11.5m (Hopefully he has a good potential, If not then he'll sell for profit in a season or 2) Outgoing: Diogo Jota - Real Madrid £60m Bobby Firmino - Juventus £37m Have listed Matip, Thiago, Keita and Tsimikas but no luck selling just yet. However Keita is in discussions for a move to Inter (Despite not being interested) £25m plus Nicolo Barella who is listed!! I'll take that if Keita agrees a deal!
  13. Started my first save with Liverpool on FM23. Usually I avoid as I find it a little too easy.. But with the struggles IRL right now I feel like simply dominating the world for a few years. Leaving Utd well and truly in the dust. First window transfers turned off. January came along and the board gave me £73m to play with. I've made one yth signing (Playing with a minor edited DB which was aimed at trying to improve Wales rankings in world football) and So Rubin Colwill was given a decent P.A so have snapped him up for the U21 and sent right back out on loan to Cardiff. I managed to renew contracts for Milner, Ox, Keita, Bobby and Ox till 2024 just so I could sell at the end of the season along with Matip and possibly Thiago should I get any offers. Rest of the transfer Kitty will stay till then end of the season. I plan on releasing the majority of the U18 squad as majority just won't ever make it - Keeping Doak, Kone Doherty, Koumas, Clark, Figueroa and Laffey . Same goes for the U21 team - Keeping Koumetio, Pitaluga, Cannonier, Arroyo, Balagizi, Stewart, Orjzynski, Musialowski, Harvey Davies, Chambers, Van den Berg, Quansah, Clarkson, Glatzel, Frauendorf, Gordon, Beck, Bradley, Ramsey, Morton, and Curtis Jones First team wise.. Jota, Tsimikas, Kelleher, Gomez, Konate, Keita all have various admirers. Should any serious bids arrive they are free to leave. Currently 2nd in league 1 pt behind City and game in hand. Carabao semi final all but sewn up 5-1 lead over Norwich. FA Cup 4th Round is where I am currently. Awaiting a replay after drawing 4-4 away at Man City. Champions league was Easy in Group - Ajax, Union saint Gilloise and Bayer 04 - Topped with 5 wins from 6. Just the loss against Bayer away when I played mainly the 2nd string. Barcelona await in Round of 16
  14. Luca Netz Alejandro Balde Fabiano Parisi Destiny Udogie Cheaper options for backup: Antonino Gallo (Salento) Valeri (Cremonese) All highly recommended.
  15. @Tiki Tak'n Turner His name? Rutgerus Johannes Martinus "Ruud" van Nistelrooij
  16. Their initial squad is barely fit for league one. But I never had to manage that initial squad. I took over about 5 seasons in. And grabbed a few prem rejected youngsters on 2 year deals, Got my promotion from League 1 rather easily. Championship season was exactly the same, Loans and a couple more freebies to bulk the squad out. Admittedly I fluked a last day win that snuck me into 2nd and was nowhere near ready for the prem. I didn't break records like Derby but it was still one heck of a long slog and came back down right away. That was when I decided to 'Throw' a few matches by playing majority yth players in order to just consolidate position in league for 2-3 seasons. Sell a few players along the way, Build up a kitty as well as a more capable squad.
  17. Personally speaking Yes It would be possible to gain promotion on just Freebies/loans. I've done it with Charlton. But if you've not got anyone capable of stepping up again, then promotion is fruitless to say the least as you'll come straight back down. Maybe a season or 2 of consolidation would be best for you right now.
  18. Is there an option somewhere to see how many times over the course of the season I have managed to hit the woodwork? Sometimes it will pop up during interviews after the match has ended, Happened the past 3 games - 3 times hit woodwork against Norwich, 3 times hit woodwork against Leicester and 4 times against Crystal Palace
  19. We have no need to know what he does in his spare time
  20. Modified version of a RocksteadyKnap tactic this one is. ME23.2ROCKSTEADYKnap42130.fmf
  21. ^^ This Exact thing.. I rotate between 3 different tactics. My squad was built around them. Future players scouted/trained for them. The one thing I have gleamed from this years iteration, is that it is possible to be successful with just one tactic but it's better to have a couple of plans for when plan A isn't working. I'm using 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow diamond. Also 4-2-3-1 Narrow Attacking and then for when I'm desperate it's a 4-1-2-3 I think the days of a plug n play tactic are now long gone. You have to be proactive in seeking out new ways to win.
  22. @Welshace @Ronaldo Beckham He has completely random attributes every time. Decent PA range, but Zero's everywhere in the editor
  23. Latest update? Garnacho Diaby Danjuma All 3 probably decent price and could do a job while developing
