  1. Not sure. I've given them a good rollocking at other times throughout the season and majority responded well. Away at Southampton who went 1-0 up and got to half time without as much as a shot at goal. Despite having decent spells of possession they just weren't even attempting shots. Just crossing, keeper catches, rinse and repeat (This is even with work ball into box). Gave the hairdryer treatment, Came out for 2nd half and scored twice within 5 mins of kick off. Given the hairdryer treatment at other times including another derby against Swansea City when it was 1-0 Swansea at HT and they all responded well and we went on to win 1-4. So no idea if it's unable to handle pressure well. Or maybe those 2 incidences were to do with 'Team leaders' who had gotten angry so they all wanted to back them up? Not sure, never really had any issues with giving the hairdryer treatment last year so it was rather a shock.
  2. And we go to France for our next two players.. Toure is a giant of a player. Standing at 6 foot 8 with Jumping reach being 20 he could become someone to call upon for set pieces! Kroupi is yet another fantastic French forward. Blessed with decent pace, Good technique and decisions. Good advanced playmaker/Att Mid/Shadow striker or as a False 9 and at a decent price too.. Snap him up before someone else does.
  3. Two Argentinians next up.. Echeveri looks simply amazing. The Heir to the Messi throne if you grab him early enough and mould him further. First touch, Dribbling, Passing and Technique already at levels you could trust him for first team duties with. Needs some work on his mentals and his Stamina is a bit low for the type of sides that like to press high and hard but OMG what a fantastic looking player. Next up is Prestianni. Again another fantastically all round great player. Man Utd snapped him up for £4m in first season so you'll need to get in pretty quick
  4. On FM23 I tried to sign someone on a free transfer (Alex Scott) had transferred there 3 seasons previous. He had wages of 325k p.w. He wanted 650k p.w for me which would have destroyed my club. Swiftly exited the deal. Let him leave there on a freebie and signed him at £225k p.w which is still extortionate, but he is an excellent addition.
  5. Chilean Goldmine.. Pizarro is available on a free in January of season 2.. Wanted by Liverpool too. Diaz can cover CB and LB looks very tidy. Gutierez looks ok for a back/rotational right back depending on league.
  6. Libero or Inverted full back right there. Solid player.
  7. £3m transfer from Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany.. I can see this guy being one of my go to players for FM24. Not able to get a work permit for him in England, but can assign him to one of the new ESC work permit places which you get 4 of.
  8. This lad looks classy. Need to work on his strength, balance and composure but will make for a lovely Mezzala. Especially with that finishing
  9. I notice that others have mentioned the 'Harsh' team talk issue too. Have had a few incidents of this. First one was second game of season when 2-0 down at Home, Playing like Amateurs, Not even had a shot at goal so set the hairdryer loose - End of game and had 8 of the 11 (Not including subs) all moan about a harsh team talk and there is no pleasing them. Another incidence was away versus a rival (Bristol City v Cardiff) and we were again 2-0 down at HT so let the team have it again, ended up losing 3-0 which didn't please me one bit even if I did have the Championship won so let them know in no uncertain terms was that acceptable, again 8 players all angry at my team talk!!! Redonkulous! Can I ask those who are maybe a couple of seasons in - Are players still wanting new contracts every year even if they have only signed a new one a year ago?
  10. I second what @Staf9 has said. ME is a whole lot better. Movement, passing, actions etc are so much smoother. Tactical wise it offers so much more now than previous editions. I'm struggling to find some consistency at the moment, but then again I'm not currently managing Liverpool. Never do until the beta ends and all bugs etc have been ironed out.
  11. Free Transfer - Decent all round. Likely to be able to do a job mid table championship or other similar stature leagues
  12. The updated graphics is smooth and looks 100% better than last year. The movement, Control, Types of shots, Bounce of ball are so much better. Even down to types of goals having more variety. I had my full back slide a ball down the line to my winger who in turn stopped, turned inside his marker and then slid a sumptuous pass in between two players for my striker to stroll onto and ping one into the bottom corner. Was beauty personified. Do not like the new set piece creator. I'd like to have a bit more control over where I'd like to have my players go.. I'd like to be able to just drag and drop into the area I'd like them to be. However I do like the option to flit between in-swinging or out-swinging corners. I'd just like a touch more control of where my players position themselves.
  13. Assadi was one of my fave finds on 23.. Looks a whole lot better this year. If his P.A is similar then he's going to become a favourite for many. That dribbling, Flair, Vision, First touch.. oh my!!
  14. I know this is an old thread but has anyone compiled a list of traits that would suit each position or even per 'Role' I have some that I tend to spam my youth with over and over in the belief that they will help them, Although my coaches tend to think the opposite and try to tell me not to add these traits to players. GK - Avoid using weaker foot, Use long throw to start counter FB - Get forward whenever possible, Looks for pass rather than shooting, Crosses early CB - Stay back at all times, Tries long range passes DM - Comes deep to get ball, Dictates tempo, Arrives late in box (Have used with a Segundo Volante) MC - Tries killer balls often, Arrives late in the box Wingers - Curls ball, Places shots AM - Tries killer balls often, Tries one twos CF - Tries first time shots, Likes to round keeper I was thinking of adding traits like 'Tries first time shots' and 'shoots with power or places shots' to CM/Segundo Volante who also have the arrive late in box or do you think this may cause a negative by them hitting too many wild shots. Can only try I guess. Are there any other traits you would add to that simple list?
  15. @knap Thanks mate.. I'll give both of the tactics you posted a go. Should fit my squad like a glove
  16. @knap Any chance you could take a look at an old 23.0 tactic and see if you can make it work as good as it did originally for this M.E These were the originals.. I did have a try myself. This was or probably still is my favourite for this year ME23.0.0HGFKnap4231NDMNKEP107EC.fmf ME23.0.0HGFKnap4231NDMNKEP100.fmf
  17. There are filters in game you can use.. on the player search screen choose the attributes you value most and nudge it up or down depending on club/league.
  18. A couple for you to check out if you haven't already spotted them that is Cruz Pina - Mexican DC at Toluca Koray Kucuk - Turkish D R/L at FC Augsburg - More RB than Lb but he's done more than a good job for me there. Especially as I'm a little light in that position, Have eyes on a Brazilian at Corinthians - Lucas Eduardo, but have to wait as he's signed a new contract. Grischa Thomalla - SC at SC Freiburg - Has a £3m release clause. Alexander Forstreuter - DC/DM at VFL Bochum. Only paid £6.75m for him. Could be a monster with right Guidance. I'm busy trying to find someone old enough with a good personality that won't expect to play many games to mentor him.
  19. Ruben Bannister (AMR / MRC /AMC) He's right footed so not really too suitable for inverted winger.. but He's doing great for me at AMC - Now has 13 goals, 12 assists in all comps. Which is an amazing return for a 17 year old.. has 17 dribbling. Left me drooling
  20. Cheers mate.. I've gotten into this first one as well. Sold off what I could sell, Released quite a few yth and cleared the whole staff out too. Found this insane RW at Birmingham that I've been building the team around. £8m upfront.. 13 games 9 goals 2 assists (Needs to bump the assists up a little but great start to his Cardiff career)
  21. With regards to Onana - Don't remember how long he had on his contract. But was a bit part player at Everton - Played just 12 times the past season (In the championship) and was listed by the club. No other clubs interested in him, Just my bid. I did manage to pry him away on a season long loan for Zero wages which is a win win in my eyes. Onguene was out on loan last season, went back to Frankfurt I believe where he was immediately listed. Didn't check out his stats for last season so no idea how much he played. I moved on from him to someone else and managed to bag myself a £2m discount off a Chelsea squad player instead.
  22. @Marc Vaughan This issue is an annoyance. For instance - Amadou Onana - Everton have transfer listed him, they barely play him, Value says £13.5m I come in with a £9m bid plus 15% sell on fee to see if they would sell at that price. To be given a £57m plus 20% sell on fee. Same with Jerome Onguene - Transfer listed, Value at £8.75m which was what I bid. They ask for £28.5m and 10% sell on. I find it highly unlikely in real life that a player would get listed but then selling club ask for extortionate prices (PSG and Mbappe aside) and for a club that's just got promoted to the prem league it's an impossible task to purchase someone of the necessary quality required unless willing to agree to these extortionate and inflated figures clubs ask.
  23. Large database, English leagues loaded. First time I've ever seen him and usually check Chile out
