^^ This Exact thing.. I rotate between 3 different tactics. My squad was built around them. Future players scouted/trained for them. The one thing I have gleamed from this years iteration, is that it is possible to be successful with just one tactic but it's better to have a couple of plans for when plan A isn't working. I'm using 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow diamond. Also 4-2-3-1 Narrow Attacking and then for when I'm desperate it's a 4-1-2-3 I think the days of a plug n play tactic are now long gone. You have to be proactive in seeking out new ways to win.

I present you Tom Ryan. Had been tracking him for 3 years, stubbornly resisting purchasing him out of loyalty to Kostas Tsimikas who I snapped up from Liverpool for under £10m and broke my assists record 2 seasons in a row. Man Utd went in for him and forced my hand. £10m is a bargain for someone that has developed insanely well. Quickly relegating Tsimikas to the bench Position is locked in for at least the next 4 years.

Acceleration, Agility, Flair, OTB, Vision and Technique.. Absolute monster of a player under the hood there. Get his Finishing and composure up a few points each and you'll be set for quite a few years as long as he doesn't get poached from you.

Have only just seen this.. but had last night tinkered with my fave tactic of yours during a really strange period of form when I was winning against the big teams, then stuttering against smaller sides. And came out with the same formation.. Works reasonably well too. 6-0 Carabao cup final win against Brighton (They Challenged for league last season, Into CL places, And currently 3rd in League). And this was after I struggled away against them in Champs league last 16, Just about managed a 2-1 win. Switched to this, Only played 3 games so no big sample but that 6-0 CC win, 4-1 CL home win against Brighton and 4-3 away win against Man City suggests it should do well.

2 x MC (B2B, DLP, Mez etc) tend to not work too well. This ME is designed more around the deeper double pivot like 2 x DM

Yes I did.. Somehow. Had an easy ride to the semis. Can't remember who I beat in the semis. But beat Arsenal in the final. And put the final nail in Arteta's Arsenal managerial stint. Sacked right after the final. I may well post it in here. Majority is all Knap's work. I just rejigged the positions and roles as had 2 strikers on a previous save come through academy and wanted them to get gametime which I couldn't do with just one striker on the original tactic.

@knap @priority76 My results so far.. Should have beat City in Charity shield (Missed Pen) Had enough Chances to beat Liverpool, Pegged back in last 5 mins against Man Utd Enough Chances to bury West Ham, lacked clinical edge. Had enough chances against Spurs but Lloris had good game. Against Palace went 1-0 down, back to 1-1, 2-1 up then fell apart with Zaha bagging winner in last 5 mins of normal time. A few draws in there where we had enough chances but again not clinical enough (Although it coincided with the loss of my Talisman (Kion Etete) No idea what makes him play so well. I've checked his PA which is only 140 which is at it's max. He's a target man but seems to fit the DLF role so well and pops up with some crucial goals - Should really get him on that near post corner routine to see if he can grab a few more.

@knap Not too shabby so far. Don't have the greatest or biggest of squads. But more than holding it's own with a bit of man management. Feel that the DLF is probably Key to this tactic with his hold up ball instruction. Especially when keeper wants to punt long due to opposition pushing up against us.

Yes. You find a lot of clubs have teams of that age. They pick them up early enough, Educate, Train etc.

My fave tactic Had forgot the ME updated and had been using the old version of this and my own modified version which I had turned into 4-1-2-1-2 (see pic) and kept wondering why I was doing so badly on this new ME and new save.. Now to go see if I can modify it into a 4-1-2-1-2 again and see if Results match the previous match engine.

How is this a bug? You do realise that biography will take into account the players formative years spent with a clubs various youth teams.

As head scratching as when the AI consistently lowball offers for your players. E.g My star RB who has a value of between £28-45m apparently. I'm receiving offers of Just under £11m and even after rejecting these measly offers they still come back with another measly offer worth maybe 100k more. Or final day of transfer window after rejecting bid after bid from several clubs for that RB you then get the obligatory loan with option to buy which is even lower than the initial offer to purchase him outright.

@knap Still my fave tactic this year.. Made one minor adjustment to the DM pairing. Plays like a dream most of the time. Needless to say I've become quite dominant. Maybe, Too dominant. I've hoovered up every trophy for the past 4 seasons. Even with my welsh regens that are all still 18-21 I have managed to win the Euros and undefeated in 28 games.
