Sporting share points with Coagh

Intermediate League Cup Group 1 - 23.9.07

Sporting Lisburn gained a battling point as they drew 1-1 against Coagh Utd.

Coagh took the lead through a goal by McGuckin, but Sporting got an equaliser just after the half-hour mark. Kinky Kingston's cross found it's way onto the foot of Ryan de Goal, who tapped home from 6 yards out. Late on in the game, James Knowles gave away a penalty, but luckily it was smashed wide by Clive Topley.

Sporting thrash non-leaguers in cup slaughter

Northern Irish Cup 1st Round - 6.10.07

Sneaky Ninja hit a late double to secure a hat-trick and Sporting Lisburn easily defeated Rathfriland 6-1, with 3 of their goals coming in the last 5 minutes.

Intermediate Cup 1st Round - not to be confused with the Intermediate League Cup

Wellington Rec vs Sporting Lisburn (NI2)

Again, two non-league sides in the cup draws, so hopefully we can get some success out of them.

Sporting see of Banbridge as they progress to semis

Intermediate League Cup Quarter-Final - 9.10.07

Banbridge of the 1st Division were no match for Sporting Lisburn as they succumed to a 4-0 defeat. Kinky Kingston was the main player today, getting 2 goals to help his teams cause, along with a Robert Boyle strike and an own goal.

Lisburn ease past Brantwood

Northern Irish 2nd Division - 13.10.07

Sporting Lisburn relaxed today and took it easy on the way to a 2-0 away victory over Brantwood. Pablo Gonzalez's early penalty was followed by a Diego Polo strike, when the Lions could have had more goals, but didn't need them.

Yeah, all our penalty taking stats are rubbish, shame with influence, highest there is 13/14.
