podunkboy
Euro Cup pre-game odds against Arsenal...Keep it Tight, Boys! our worthy opponent's starting 11 and bench: Is...that...confetti I see falling on the stalwart lads of Stirling Albion? Kept it TIGHT, win it on a last-minute PK. Good thing we had some cash left in the transfer budget for this payout. (worth every penny!) podunkboy
Ronald McDonald can buy a lot of Whoppers with this contract Looks like someone snuck a flare into the Scottish Cup final against Celtic: but nothing to celebrate this day... the fans were disappointed that we ONLY reached the final of the Scottish Cup (after already winning the Euro and League Cups...sheesh!) and now McFlynn's out with broken ribs...Celtic thugs. ever see 10 out of 11 for a "Team of the Week" picture? Raise the colors as Kinkaid rallies the troops for a final run at the League title 87 points, 100 goals scored, only one straight red send-off in the league, well done, lads! up next...post-season awards. podunkboy
Awesome year by the Stirling Boys but arghhh Celtic i cant stand them at all My first save ever (in FM'09), I took over Hibernian, and learned to hate Celtic because they JUST WON EVERYTHING! After about 4 years, I finally topped the SPL, and never feared them again...but I still hate them. Now I play a Scottish save every year just so I can get up to the SPL and knock them out. Chao Yang
Brilliant year! Good to see Jaya still ripping it up year to year~ Now to get to Messi/Ronaldo level goals right? Right? Can we get player attributes up for the end season?

Can we get player attributes up for the end season? will do - I'm currently playing pre-season (everyone's been playing internationals over the summer break, they all came back exhausted/injured, so I've had to send almost everyone on vacations). Hmm...wish I could do something about the national team's coach running my players into the ground when they're supposed to be getting rested for the coming season. G_D_K
Another great run by the 'Dozen! Shame on the loss to Celtic--about the only blip in an otherwise outstanding season! Lots of new contracts signed too....looks like the Dozen are sticking it out! I think Felix Vroom's the only one still not on a multi-year contract - got to get him nailed down soon. But if the board doesn't give Baker a nice financial thank-you package soon, who knows where he might end up...
podunkboy
well, darn it, half the player screens I grabbed are the "attribute" ones, half are "profile", but in any event it's got mostly the same info.

podunkboy
So, who would you want to go to war with? William Wallace, now 6'8" tall, 209 lbs, bald as a soccer ball... Kinkaid, who will probably one day be team captain for England? Jaya, the human highlight reel? The Big Mac/Mc Twins? Arron Balmont, who despite a 20 in natural fitness...well, he tries hard. Really, I don't want to move any of them, and refuse every offer tendered.
podunkboy
The "sort by potential" team screen: AWARDS! He was GOOD, but not Baker's Dozen good (and I can't afford to buy him at Juventus rates...) NOT a re-post, two head coach of the year awards! (I bet placing 8 in the team of the year really chipped off Lennon... )
Chao Yang
Hehehehe, very nice! Do you think the lads have capped off all their PA by this point or do you think they still have a few more growth spurts to go? Also, I think I mentioned this, but Scottish Jaya is a full 4 inches and 20 pounds bigger than me. I'd take him to the bar brawl, he'll be the big guy. Though with a Bravery of 5... Well, they're mostly 22, so I'd say there's still a couple years of growth potential in their attributes, although I haven't had a peek with Genie Scout lately. You think you've got problems, William Wallace only has 10 pounds on me but is a full foot taller. I wouldn't want to mark him on the wings.

podunkboy
I didn't ask for any sort of upgrade/expansion, but evidently Stirling doesn't want any more noisy construction. if you like financials and whatnot. another season to be proud the 2020-2021 budget, it gets expensive to hold onto the Baker's Dozen: Fan's PotY is... Best 11 voted by the players We're dragging the Premiership up with us... 22nd best European club - that puts us on the level with almost any top European league. Annual jersey sales figures We've grown up, and our parent club kicked us out of the nest. and oh, yeah, there's this, thought I'd express an interest when Strachan stepped down. (what have I gotten myself into...) On the upside, the National job pays 10x what my "day job" is paying, and all I really have to do is call up the 'Dozen... podunkboy
Our Champions draw for the coming season...a VERY beatable group, am I right? Welcome to the National job - and we hate your methods and selection policy. And then we had to play this silly Super Cup thing against Real Madrid...what a hassle: a new horizon for Mr. Baker and...we're OFF to the World Cup Races with a great opening match in our qualifying group: and a very sad bit of news, one of the 'Dozen's gone all Bosman on the team: (He won't talk to me, he insists on leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season, and after he shut me out, I dropped him from the national team (and then put him back in, because we still need him.) Kincaid not in the top five for popularity????? I can only assume it's the whole "chicks dig the goal-scorers out front". Maybe you should work on your cannon... As for our "parent club", I rather think we kicked them out, and not the reverse! I think they got tired of paying us to be better than they are, and our loaning their players and then not returning them. We signed Dallas FC as our feeder club, and then this past off-season they were "too busy" to play a friendly against us, so I just scheduled a tour of US teams and left them off it. podunkboy
League Cup form looks good down goes McFlynn-again Man City JUST a match for us (although we were dominated). end of October match form: McDonald picks up too many fries and give himself a hernia. "cultured midfielder" Balmont gets a brace in National Team play: MacTavish notches a hat trick against Anderlecht: and then we get them again: a Latvian squeeker in World Cup qualifying play (no, that's not a euphemism for flatulence) What can I saw, I love to brag, and I'm wonderful and oh, yeah, Balmost bangs his knee, out several weeks I did miss some screen caps, evidently when I had a crash dump after several hours of play I lost all the screens I was going to upload. Oh, well, ever forward. The Scottish national team will more than likely move on in Qualifying play (our only real competition in our group is France), and aside from losing Vroom, everything's going well at the club. I hope, wherever he goes, he's miserable and spends all his time on the bench, wishing that he would have stayed put at Stirling and won all that silverware. I know, I know, that's not the intent of this experiment, we should be happy when one of the dozen moves on, but he QUIT on us and our mission. podunkboy
Okay...how about some Kincaid love for the WC quals??? How's England doing? I should probably check that - been so wrapped up in my little "dominate the world as Scotland's head man" world that I haven't been paying attention to how the "other half" are living. (actually, I know I had some international screenshots, but the crash-dump ate them - I'll check tomorrow before I come into work again and get some results up. podunkboy
I believe he's truly gone now... I'm trying not to take this personally, as we knew that there was no way all thirteen of the dozen would retire at the club, but it was the way he just stabbed all of us in the back and wouldn't listen to reason. ALthough I considered re-training him as a sweeper just to screw up his next team, I'm instead training him as an AMC (as well as his current MR/AMR), and I'll still consider him for selection to represent bonny Scotland. But I really have no reason to do so, other than the selfish "I want to win games" reason. So, "Mar sin leibh, Felix Vroom...don't let the door hit you in the fanny on the way out..." podunkboy
why so harsh on Felix? It's a complicated relationship - I'm happy for his success and development, but no one in the team is an "everyday" starter when you're trying to shoehorn 13 players into 11 spots (not considering all the supporting players who also need to be kept happy). He wasn't fit but was demanding play and when I didn't meet his standards, he just shut me completely out...but STILL wanted to be an everyday starter and featured National player. He went from Superb to Abysmal morale overnight - how do you think a coach and teammates are going to feel when someone cuts all ties and won't listen to reason? I always take these saves wayyyyy too seriously - the characters become quirky little members of my family I can't control.

In Champions Cup play, Liverpool is left walking alone... a pair of hat-tricks against Hearts (McFlynn and Faccioli) Went to ask for an extended contract...the board didn't think I've done enough to warrant an extension...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? (I talked them into it, though) (4 years, 15% a year raise -their first offer was 4 years, $100 more a week, and no yearly raise. ) I only asked for a long-term contract because Baker's been getting offers to interview in the EPL, and I've turned them down for fear they'd actually hire me. Well, could have been a worse draw, if we had got Man City or Barca. podunkboy
8 match ban!!!...What did Zia do to deserve that? (BITE THE OPPONENT!) first red=1 game ban, second red=2 game ban, third red=4 game ban...well, you get the idea. After the last 8-game ban (during the Scottish Cup final), the assman recommended an appeal, so rather than a 2-week pay penalty, I appealed the suspension. Otherwise, he's out for 20%+ of the season. And that's not counting the red in the Champions that earned him a suspension. I think he's got some "anger issues", because although we play a pressing and physical tactic, no one on defense is racking up reds like Salman. podunkboy
Well knowing myself that's a very literal characteristic I presume thats a 4th red this season? actually, you had 5 total (4 "double-yellows", one straight red in the Scottish Cup final). Hopeful that the appeal on that last one is overturned. update: I'll post the screenshot later, but apparently the appeal was denied and it says "20 game ban"...so potentially Salman may go on loan for a half-season, since he can't play in Scotland.
