Cornwall Cannons and Lancashire Lions have moved up to the top of the league after ten games and at the October. And below them two points separate third place from 12th, which just shows how tight the league is right at the moment although it still is early on. The Isle of Man Metros are, suprisingly, down in 19th although if they win their game in hand they will move up out of the relegation zone. The Surrey Savagers have also moved up to 16th place, four points away from the relegation places. The Cheshire Cobras and Hampshire Harriers make up the rest of the relegation zone.

All Yorkshire 'stars' were playing in the league cup first round :D

Saving themselves for staying up in the Premiership this time clearly!

Last time out, we made the League Cup QF but ended up relegated. This time, we're out in Round 1 but heading for Europe.

Down in 12tgh, but only 3 points off 3rd, so I'm reasonably pleased with the performance so far. Also Robert, are Derbyshire playing the 4-2-3-1 without wingers (Christmas tree) or a 4-2-3-1 with wingers this time?

Essex Eagles have gone into the lead after having a poor first season on the last version of this sign up, they are leading Gloucestershire Goons by three points after fifteen games. Down at the bottom, two of the better teams are in the relegation zone, the Isle of Man Metros and the Worcestershire Wonders although the Metros still have their game in hand against 18th placed the Cheshire Cobras. At the start of the season I thought that the Surrey Savagers had the best striking partnership in the league, however they have scored the second least amount of goals, second only to the Isle of Man Metros.

Fourth Round

Now we're down to eight teams left, all of which are EPL teams. The highlight of the round was the Durham Destroyers 3-2 win over the Hampshire Harriers after Ruud Van Nistlerooy scored a last minute winner. Top of the league, Essex Eagles, lost to the Isle of Man Metros but other than that there were no upsets.

The Somerset Sunbathers have taken top spot at the turn of the year after a fantastic month winning all but their game against the Devon Demons comfortably. The GLoucestershire Goons are still up there in second just three points behind the Sunbathers, but the Essex Eagles have slipped down to third, four points behind top. It's still close in the fight for the fourth champions league spot with Nottinghamshire Knights leading the way, although they oddly have a negative goal difference. The bottom of the table is fascinating, with lots of twists and turns, the Cheshire Cobras have broke out of the bottom three up into 16th with a game in hand which could move them up to 12th. The Worcestershire Wonders are now bottom of the table, below the Isle of Man Metros who have two games in hand which could put them up to 12th as well as the Cheshire Cobras but one of them is against second placed Gloucestershire Goons.

Quarter Final

Now we're down to four in the League Cup. The quarter finals were an all EPL affair although I did not expect most of the results. Favourites to go down, Cheshire Cobras seem to be in very good form beating the Isle of Man Metros. Both first and second place lost, and the Surrey Savagers who are widely believed to be one of the best teams also lost.

Champions League

Tuesday 9th of December

All four teams comfortably qualified for the knockout rounds by topping their groups. They all dominated their final matches, although the Devon Demons just couldn't find a second goal against Sampdoria

All EPL teams qualified easily, all topping their groups. The Gloucestershire Goons even won all four of their games, scoring fourteen and not conceding in the process. Hampshire Harriers and Nottinghamshire Knights both topped their groups but with nine points, having lost a game.

Moving away from relegation \o/, still 14 places away from where we should be though /o\, interesting to see Torres having 4 MoTM and second on the average rating but nowhere to be seen on the assists or goals tallys, could you possibly tell me how many goals he's scored this season?

Amauri is now firing but CR7 is not :(

Yet another frustrating month from the Cannon's. I hope this isn't a repeat opf last time when we hovered around Eurpope all year, in what was a very, very close race to get bundled out in the last game of the season. Lets hope we can string a few wins togther to make a charge up the table!

KUTGW Robert!

Sitting in 9th :( We need to improve a lot in the second half of the season if we are to qualify for the Champions League next season. Not a single player of mine finds a place in the Player stats screen, which is ridiculous to say the least :D

We're past the half way point in the season now and Somerset Sunbathers are six points ahead of second place, Essex Eagles. With the Gloucestershire Goons, Nottinghamshire Knights and Greater Manchester Mongooses just waiting for the Eagles to slip up. It is very close down at the bottom with all three relegation favourites surprisingly not in the bottom three, in their place are the Hampshire Harriers, the Isle of Man Metros and the Merseyside Magicians, albeit on goal difference.

Semi Final First leg

Cheshire Cobras v Durham Destroyers

Nottinghamshire Knights v Cornwall Cannons

After the first leg of the semi final Cheshire Cobras are surprisingly in the lead against the Durham Destroyers, despite the fact that they are predicted to come last in the EPL. Nottinghamshire Knights and Cornwall Cannons drew a close game at the Round Table and will have it all to play for at the Cornwall Cottage.

Semi Final Second leg

Cornwall Cannons v Nottinghamshire knights

Durham Destroyers v Cheshire Cobras

The Cornwall Cannons and the Nottinghamshire Knights too part in another close match in the second leg, but Cornwall Cannons came out victorious despite the Knights taking an early lead. The Cheshire Cobras must have felt secure at the start of their match with a two goal lead but the Destroyers scored in the fifth minute to set them back and there on in dominated the game, the Cobras kept their eighteen other shots out and progressed, with the Cornwall Cannons into the final to make it 'the battle of the C's.'

Third Round Part 1

Third Round Part 2

Fourth Round

In the third round, all EPL teams progressed apart from Cornwall Cannons who lost to fellow EPL team Lancashire Lions. The highlight of the round being Durham Destroyers destroying Wrexham 8-0. In the fourth round there were several EPL casualties including the Merseyside Magicians who lost to Leicester, Durham Destroyers who lost to Wolves and Herefordshire Hotshots and Greater Manchester Mongooses who both lost to EPL teams.
