Guest josh9393
I was just wondering if on anyone's game, Sir Alex had ever got another job. I have never seen this happen - is it possible?
Shane_Byram
Absolutely 100% no. He has stated in several interviews that his last job will be Man Utd and he has shown his loyalty by sticking with them for over 20 years, I guess that is reflected in the game. gcormack
do you really think he's likely to take another job in real life before retiring? what worries me most is that his replacements are generally a bit strange.
james-99
no ive never seen it, but as a united fan i don't think he will get another job, he'll retire from utd even though i think he should manage in the olympic games, have a good chance to win it then. DaveDaveDave
I've never seen it, but he tends to retire within a couple of seasons on FM09, so I guess not.
Dirty_ACE
In one of my games he was replaced with Klinsmann, who proceeded to heroically finish 9th in his first season.
IbrahimAliMaher
On my current FM08 game he was sacked after the first season and has just hung around ever since. Still, top managers seem to find it hard to get a job in this game, Mourinho and Capello are still on extended golfing holidays
outlaw640
He usually retires pretty quickly, on an Fm08 game he went to Inter Milan though.
The_Kreman
No, I have never seen him go elsewhere. But he has always retired before being sacked in the saves i have played
sthptngomad76
Paul Jewell took over from him in mine.
Grimoz
I think it would be cool if he left Man Utd then went to manage in the really low leagues, how much of a boost to a team would that be.
Dan-Toon-Army
Hes been sacked in one or two of my games , and in each one Jose Mourinho replaces him
JoeCFC
Never seen it, hopefully he takes over Team GB for the 2012 olympics though.
antonyhoggan
Two to three seasons with Man U the retirement. Have seen him replaced with Roy Keane and Steve Bruce. Must be the old boy network...
Fusss
he has had pretty good replacements on mine, although they have performed poorly! Mourinho followed by Ancelotti
supersaint
He stayed with Utd till 2023 in my game, before retiring.
Bradz FM
i dont think Ferguson would ever manager another team, it took him a few years to get it right at Man U. no manager gets that sort of time these days and its hard to be brilliant when you just walk into a job. he'll go out on top! i think Brucey should be replacement
Stoke Poges?
On FM 06 i fiddled with the editor with United, made them really really rich, and as usual after sacking Queiroz I was looking for a new assistant, to which Fergie obliged after being offerred an insane signing on fee and wages in the region of 80k a week. Interesting, though I don't think I carried it on too far
crouchie
in mine hes just retired who replaces??? benitez!!! most unrealistic thing ive ever seen!
Roo
I took over at Utd and he was a free agent a year later mourinho got fired at inter and SAF took over that season he beat me (Man Utd) in the CL final
Wayne\'o
i dont think there are many quality manager in the game to be fair.
Pughie
Never seen him get another Job seen him on most FM's getting sacked and Luis Van Gaal is normally his replacement. Benitez never seems to get a new job either. Has anyone noticed Luis Van Gaal is a nutter on FM09 haha always stormin out of press conferences? CrayWands
he took the bayern job on one occasion in
golfpunk
I would absolutely love it if after he is finished with Man Utd (Not finished as in 'not achieving anymore' but finished as in 'ready to pass it on') he came back to Aberdeen and started the fight to stop the Old Firm winning the league every season. Will never happen but always nice to dream
phantom1998
In my CM 01/02 game I took over as Man Utd and Fergie went to Lazio after a season or two. He even bought Scholes from me but he never managed to win a Serie A Title.
La Furia Roja
funnily enough he got sacked last night in mine in 2010 and retired!
LeeroyS
He tool over inter on my 08 game.. His replacement was Brian McClair.
Damian227
I've never seen him take over anyone else either, never seen a good replacement either. But thats probably because on FM the big teams never hire a big SUCCESSFUL manager. Sammy Lee took them over after getting Derby relegated and mid table in championship and Roy Keane took them over after 11 years of winning nothing and being relegated 3 times.
