played1977
Hi, I am new to Football Manager 09, been playing Fifa Manager... just a quick question before I purchase the game, is there a setting so that you dont get sacked. This is a feature of Fifa Manager and I wondered if it had been incorporated into Football Manager, or is there a patch for this, something you can change in the editor? ahmufcwafc
No, this isn't possible.
Stevicus
Its not possible, but if you would like to play the Handheld version, you can become immune to sacking after certain achievements.
peter-evo
Not possible I am afraid. Though I still suggest this game as it is much better than Fifa Manager

M.U.F.C....TSVR
Why is Fifa manager so bad? i played 08 - mate had it - and it was OK. Silly but matches were fairly realistic. Has anyone played champ man 09? if so, whats that like?

Stevicus
And pointless ways to spend your earnings? Families. etc, though the only good thing is you can track your son from birth. The overall graphics, too fancy and too much to take in.
fatboyjohnmulhern
There is alot of stuff i like from fifa man, that i feel fm should look to put in such as maps etc. I think they will implement some better scouting camps systems like in fifa, but i dont think they will bother with all he personal stuff unfortunately whihc i loved
Amaroq
You don't actually need an "unsackable" option in FM. If you're sacked, it doesn't end your save-game. That manager can get another job for another club .. or if you want to stay with the current club, you can create a new manager who takes over the club and retire the first manager. phnompenhandy
Also, there are certain clubs like East Stirlingshire who have so little ambition that the chairman will never sack you (and you cant get relegated to oblivion in Scotland). Amaroq, great to see you're back - where ya been?
M.U.F.C....TSVR
they make a sick footy game - i have pro and fifa - anyone have a preference? if so, why?

pnefc22
If you are good, then you will become almost unsackable. That is unless you have a go at the board. Plus, your season stats and stuff reset after a season which can lower your job status.
Glenn Wakeford
No need for this thread to be a discussion about different football games, the OP has his answer, so closing thread.
