+1 PA for effort :D

I may used Most Red Cards and Most Yellow Cards to award more Aggression points ;)

You could enforce negative awards for this sort of thing. Maybe make us take a hit to hidden attributes so we don't pick a pointless attribute for our position.

Most improved player by match rating. As an example:

Player A rating 6.6 in year 1 and 6.9 in year 2 means a score of .3

Player B rating 5.8 in year 1 and 6.2 in year 2 means a score of .4 and an award despite getting lower ratings.

You could also place handicaps of .2 per half star reputation on the different leagues and give a match rating handicap score. For example a 7 match rating could score like this is in the different leagues:

4.5* league (England & Spain) = 0 handicap so 7 rating stays at 7

3* league (Holland & Greece) = -6 handicap so 7 rating becomes 6.4

I'm sorry if these are stupid ideas but I've had a couple of Guinness'.

nothing is a stupid idea when you have had a few Guinness

I actually love this idea :D I think I will definately use this idea.

+3 PA for Franco Maldini

San Marino Quarterly Report Card - Season 1 (3rd Quarter)

The third quarter has arrived, several players made their moves and are now experience different atmospheres, but how did they really do? Was the move worth it, or was it the worst decision they could have made? Well you will just have to wait and find out!

Category 1...

Mattino Stoffinni

Quarter 1: 10 App, 9 Conc, 3 Cln, 2 MOM, 7.13 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 14 App, 14 Conc, 5 Cln, 2 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.01 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: 7 App, 8 Conc, 1 Cln, 7.02 AVR

Club: Stoffinni's quarter was cut shorter than he would have wanted, due to a 'Torn Calf Muscle', having already served 3 weeks on the sidelines, with a possible further 4 months to go... During his time on the field for Northampton, he has done brilliantly. The only thing Stoffinni needs to improve at is clean sheets, but they will come with experience and improvement.

International: Has not made any appearances...

Report Card: B

Kalem Lyco

Quarter 1: 7 App, 11 Conc, 2 Cln, 6.57 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 2: 8 App, 9 Conc, 3 Cln, 6.85 AVR

Quarter 3: 5 App, 8 Conc, 1 Cln, 6.72 AVR

Club: Not the best of performances throughout the quarter for the young goalkeeper, with a significant drop in his average rating and not making many appearances. Was injured for 2 weeks with a Gashed Leg, but has stayed injury free otherwise. Lyco needs to improve in all areas before he's going to make much of an impact. Maybe a move in the summer to a bigger club with better facilities could help?

International: Has not many any appearances...

Report Card: E

Aldaberto Calogera Stefano De Benedetto

Quarter 1: 5 App, 5 Conc, 2 Cln, 6.78 AVR

Quarter 2: 14 App, 19 Conc, 2 Cln, 6.65 AVR

Quarter 3: 16 App, 15 Conc, 5 Cln, 6.82 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: A fantastic month for young Benedetto! He has definately improved over the last quarter and will be extremely happy with his performances, with a massive increase in his average rating. He has played 2 more games than last quarter and conceded 4 less, whilst gaining 3 more clean sheets. He just needs to continue on in this manner and hopefully improve even more. With the injury to Stoffinni, this could be his chance!

International: An absolutely amazing performance for Benedetto! By far the best goalkeeping performance from either of the 3 in an International game! Average rating of 8.0 see's the young goalkeeper walk away from that match laughing, especially after stopping Slovenia's 3 clear cut chances.

Report Card: B+

Leonardo Lombardo

Quarter 1: 2 App, 7.60 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: N/A

Quarter 3: N/A ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Unfortunately, he has yet again hit a brick wall when it comes to getting a chance to play first team football... The difference this time, we know the reason why, because West Brom are a Premiership side already doing very well without him.

International: Thankfully for Lombardo, the severe lack of first team football has not ruined his chances of appearing in the U21 game this quarter, but his 34th minute appearance after replacing Franco Maldini, only lasted untill the 78th minute when he was substituted off after a horific performance, only managing a 6.4 rating.

Report Card: N/A

Gennaro Baresi

Quarter 1: 10 App, 6 Yel, 7.09 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 11 App, 10 Yel, 7.17 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: 14 App, 7.12 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Gennaro Baresi was unable to secure a transfer during the January Transfer Window, but he wont care because he's continued his brilliant form in league 2 for Accrington who are now 15th! One thing to mention was his ability to keep out of the referee's book, after previous anger issues, picking up a massive 16 yellow cards! Baresi needs to put some more dominant performances in next month and really prove his worth.

International: Was one of the only players to play the entire match and ended with a the match with a brilliant 7.4 rating. Was probably one of the major reasons behind the brilliant defending by San Marino U21's.

Report Card: B

Franco Maldini

Quarter 1: 1 App, 7.90 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 7(1) App, 1 Yel, 7.13 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: Southend: 2(1) App, 1 Red, 7.14 AVR | Southampton 2(2) App, 7.17 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Had played brilliantly, despite his red card for Southend and his performances earned him the move to the well respected U18's at Southampton. He has gone on to make a total of 4 appearances for the first team at Southampton, two of those as a sub and hasn't put a foot wrong at all, with 4 extremely convincing performances for the high flying Championship side!

International: Was unfortunately subbed early on, probably through injury, but put in a brilliant performance in the 34 minutes he had on the pitch, receiving a 7.4 rating. He will be pleased, despite being injured, with the manager overlooking several other players and picking him in the first 11.

Report Card: B

Gianluca Carberetta

Quarter 1: 10 App, 1 Goal, 1 Ass, 2 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.40 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 9 App, 1 Ass, 2 MOM, 3 Yel, 7.43 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: 1 App, 7.40 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Unfortunately his move to Wolves has proved to block his chances of first team football, with the club fighting for a mid table finish and unable to give their youngster more of a chance, but he has taken the solo chance he was given in a cup game and continued his scintilating form with a 7.4 rating! As long as he takes his chances in future games, he should do very well for himself at Wolves.

International: A very poor peformance from Carberetta with the U21's, coming on as a sub and picking up a 6.5 rating at the end of the match. He will be very disappointed with that!

Report Card: N/A

Enzo Ferrari

Quarter 1: 10 App, 4 Ass, 1 MOM, 5 Yel, 1 Red, 7.62 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 2: 13 App, 1 Goal, 5 Ass, 5 MOM, 7 Yel, 7.67 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: Dag & Red: 1 App, 1 Goal, 7.62 AVR | Tottenham Hotspur: N/A ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Finished off his Dag & Red career with a winning goal, a nice fair well present to the fans as he made the move to title challengers Tottenham Hotspur! The Premier League side are currently on course to win the Premier League, but Ferrari has unfortunately not been able to take part and probably wont win a medal if the team manage to pull it off.

International: One of the ones to stay on for the entire match, but will be extremely disappointed in himself with the 6.5 rating, especially when he is extremely consistent in club football. Will need to do better in future matches.

Report Card: N/A

Francesco Rossi

Quarter 1: 10 App, 1 Ass, 3 MOM, 3 Yel, 7.61 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 2: 11 App, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.32 AVR

Quarter 3: Cheltenham: 2 App, 7.27 AVR | Everton: 1(2) App, 6.80 AVR

Club: A nice end to his Cheltenham career with two strong performances, moving onto Everton in the Premier League. Everton are currently challenging for Champions League football which was one of the reasons behind Rossi's move. As expected, he hasn't played a lot of first team football for Everton, but considering they are in a very strong position, it comes as a suprise that he has made 3 appearances, two of which were substitute appearances. Unfortunately he didn't live up to his reputation as a consistent footballer, with a poor average rating over the 3 appearances.

International: Has yet again been overlooked by the U21's manager... What does he have to do to get his chances?

Report Card: C

Stefano Luigi

Quarter 1: 5 App, 1 Goal, 3 MOM, 1 Yel, 1 Red, 7.80 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 11 App, 2 Goal, 1 Ass, 6 MOM, 3 Yel, 7.90 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: 11 App, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 4 Yel, 1 Red, 7.37 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: What can you say about this guy? Amazing? Genious? Legend in the making? He left Bristol Rovers for major rivals Bristol City who reside in the Npower Championship, so this was a massive step up from the League 2 football he was used to, but he has more than taken the bull by the horns, with 11 outstanding appearances! He is Bristol City's best player in terms of average rating! Unfortunately he can't win the award this time round, but I am sure he would have won it if he could have.

International: An outstanding performance for the U21's, picking up a 7.7 rating before being substituted in the 78th minute, probably to give others a chance and maintain his fitness. Nobody can argue that this guy is on course to become first choice for the first team in the near future!

Report Card: A*

Diego Rossi

Quarter 1: 10 App, 1 Goal, 4 Ass, 4 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.73 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 14 App, 1 Goal, 2 Ass, 3 MOM, 3 Yel, 7.46 AVR ("1" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: 16 App, 1 Goal, 1 Ass, 3 MOM, 7.41 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Didn't get to move on during the January Transfer Window, but he will be pleased anyway after making 16 appearances this quarter! He has managed to near enough maintain his form with only a slight drop in his average rating and picked up another 3 man of the match awards! He is doing his best to help steer Macclesfield clear of relegation, but you fear if Rossi gets injured, they may pay the unfortunate price.

International: Came on as a late substitute for the U21's, but was unable to make an impact and didn't receive a rating.

Report Card: B

Davide Ginsberg

Quarter 1: 2(1) App, 1 Goal, 1 Yel, 6.65 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 1 App, 1 Yel, 6.53 AVR

Quarter 3: 9 App, 2 Goals, 2 Ass, 1 MOM, 6 Yel, 1 Red, 6.88 AVR

Club: Has finally started to make a lot more appearances for play-off challengers Rotherham. Hasn't been the most inspiring player, especially with the last 5 matches, putting in extremely bad performances, but in his first 4 of the quarter he did extremely well. Needs to redescover his form from those matches and play plenty of matches in the last quarter.

International: Was an un-used substitute for the U21's.

Report Card: C

Ermenegildo Tomaselli

Quarter 1: 6 App, 1 Goal, 2 Ass, 1 MOM, 7.42 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 7 App, 2 Ass, 1 MOM, 7.49 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: Port Vale: 3 App, 1 Goal, 3 Assists, 2 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.66 AVR | Juventus: 0(1) App ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: An amazing end to his Port Vale career, putting in by far the best 3 performances of his career so far! This is unfortunate for Port Vale fans, because they got to see what they were going to miss when he left, but who could turn down Juventus? Has unfortunately been overlooked by the Juventus manager, only making a very late substitute appearance and not receiving a rating.

International: One of the best players in the side, scoring one of the goals in this dominant win! Brilliant stuff as it was his only shot attempt! He walked away with the knowledge that he could be heading for the San Marino first team very soon with performances like this! Finished the match with an 8.4 rating!

Report Card: B

Santa Claus-Mooooorena

Quarter 1: 5 App, 3 Goal, 1 Ass, 4 MOM, 8.00 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 3(3) App, 1 Goal, 2 Ass, 7.46 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: Gillingham: 3 App, 7.39 AVR | Man Utd: 1 App, 6.90 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: 3 good performances to put an end to his Gillingham career, as he moved to Manchester United in the Premier League! Has done fairly well in his only appearance for Manchester United, but will be hoping for a few more chances to show what he can do! He is only 16 years old though and should hopefully get more chances next season.

International: Simply amazing! That is the only way to describe his performance for the U21's during this match, making 2 assists and picking up the man of the match award! He was substituted in the 73rd minute, but picked up an 8.6 rating. He is also one of the players who could appear for the San Marino first team anytime soon!

Report Card: B

Category 2...

Elio Talbottini

Quarter 1: 2 App, 1 Ass, 7.55 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 2: 4(1) App, 2 Ass, 1 MOM, 7.33 AVR ("3" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: N/A ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Made no appearances from Swindow before his move to Bolton and has so far not been given a first team chance yet at Bolton.

International: Has something to shout about with his first U21 goal! Was one of the best players on the pitch, but was replaced in the 63rd minute, endind with an 8.4 rating! The most probable reason behind his substitution was lack of fitness.

Report Card: N/A

Stefano Duffinci

Quarter 1: 6 App, 1 Goal, 3 Ass, 1 MOM, 3 Yel, 1 Red, 7.07 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 7(1) App, 2 Goals, 2 Ass, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.18 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: 1(1) App, 7.13 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Played 2 more games for Shrewsbury, before moving to Siena in Italy. The Italian club didn't give the youngster any chance during this quarter, but i'm sure there will be some before the end of the season!

International: Replaced Elio Talbottini in the 63rd minute, but was nowhere near as good, although he did end the match with a reasonable 7.1 rating!

Report Card: N/A

Martino Trattare

Quarter 1: 7(1) App, 1 Yel, 7.03 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 10 App, 3 Goals, 2 Ass, 1 Yel, 7.14 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: Burton: 2 App, 7.08 AVR Valencia: 2 App, 6.80 AVR

Club: Made 2 appearances for Burton, playing well, then made his much anticipated move to Valencia! He has been given 2 first team chances, but hasn't done as well as he would have hoped, but there is still time to impress!

International: Was not selected to take part in any matches.

Report Card: C+

Andy Selva

Quarter 1: 2 App, 1 Goal, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 7.85 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 2: N/A ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: 5(2) App, 2 Goals, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.49 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Has finally made the appearances he deserves and will hopefully make several more before the end of the season, but has unfortunately picked up a 'Sprained Ankle' injury and could be out for up to 6 weeks. He has shown that he can be very consistent and is probably going to make the move in the Summer.

International: Only lasted 28 minutes as he picked up the 'Sprained Ankle' injury, but was showing some good form, given a 7.1 rating in just 28 minutes!

Report Card: B

Luc Salva

Quarter 1: 1(2) App, 6.45 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 1(2) App, 1 Ass, 1 Yel, 6.45 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: 5(2) App, 4 Ass, 6.80 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Salva has done well enough here to warrant some more playing time, but his overall appearances were very good on the eye it seems. He is managing to lay on the assists though despite anything else he does during the game.

International: Made a late appearance but will be embarrased with the 6.4 rating he was given in the 16 minutes on the pitch!

Report Card: C+

Omar Rossi

Quarter 1: 10(1) App, 5 Goal, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 6.86 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 10(1) App, 6 Goal, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 6.93 AVR

Quarter 3: 16(3) App, 11 Goal, 1 Ass, 3 MOM, 6.97 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Some brilliant goal scoring right there, but still needs to work harder on his overall game to boost up that average rating. Has made a lot of appearances and is definately a contender for the award.

International: His appearance in the U21 first team was cut short after just 32 minutes, with no real explanation. He managed a 7.0 rating during his time on the pitch.

Report Card: B+

Merko Tomassoni

Quarter 1: 6(2) App, 4 Goal, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 1 Yel, 7.19 AVR ("2" San Marino Caps)

Quarter 2: 2(2) App, 1 Goal, 2 Ass, 7.07 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 3: AFC Wimbledon: 2 App, 1 Goal, 1 MOM, 7.09 AVR Valencia: 0(1) App, 6.30 AVR Valencia Mestalla: 5(1) App, 1 Goal, 6.84 AVR ("1" San Marino Cap)

Club: Played well in his last 2 games for AFC Wimbledon before making the move to Spanish club Valencia. He managed a substitute appearance which didn't go too well, before being move to what I'm guessing his Valencia's B team 'Valencia Mestalla'. He hasn't impressed very much for Mestalla, only scoring the 1 goal in 6 appearances.

International: Is the only played to be capped for San Marino before this update (probably still is?) and has made yet another appearance after his previous demotion to the U21's last quarter. Played his heart out and was the best player on the pitch for San Marino, but they were overcome by Paraguay (2-0)!

Report Card: B-

Andrea Di Baggio

Quarter 1: 6 App, 6 Goal, 2 Ass, 3 MOM, 7.72 AVR ("3" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 3 App, 2 Goals, 7.49 AVR

Quarter 3: 12 App, 8 Goals, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 2 Yel, 7.36 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Amazing form for Crewe in League 2 and is the second best goalscorer in the league. Considering he has only played 19 league games, this is brilliant! Unfortunately he has Broken his Foot and could now be out for up to 5 months! This could also mean he will be staying at Crewe untill at least next January.

International: Came on in the 71st minute and put in a good shift to end the match with a 7.1 rating, very reasonable.

Report Card: A

Giorgino Rossi

Quarter 1: 9 App, 1 Ass, 2 Yel, 6.64 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 15 App, 6 Goals, 1 MOM, 3 Yel, 1 Red, 6.77 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: Aldershot: 1 App, 1 Yel, 6.76 AVR Malaga: N/A Atletico Malagueno: 5 App, 1 Goal, 1 Yel, 6.72 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: A very poor end to his Aldershot career, then was move straight from his buying club 'Malaga' to what i'm guessing is their B team 'Atletico Malagueno'. He has made several appearances, but has done no better than he did at Aldershot! Needs to improve drastically!

International: A very poor performance during his U21 appearance which ended in the 67th minute. He picked up a yellow card and ended the match with a 6.6 rating. Can't see this guy improving any time soon.

Report Card: F

Stephon Teroni

Quarter 1: 8(1) App, 4 Goal, 1 Ass, 1 MOM, 7.01 AVR ("2" U21 Appearances)

Quarter 2: 14 App, 7 Goals, 2 Ass, 3 MOM, 7.02 AVR ("1" U21 Appearance)

Quarter 3: Hereford: 4 App, 1 Goal, 1 Ass, 6.97 AVR West Brom: 1(1) App, 3 Goals, 1 MOM, 8.15 AVR Nottingham Forest: N/A ("1" U21 Appearance)

Club: Did fine in his remaining matches for Hereford, but would have liked a few more goals. Moved to West Brom during the transfer window and put on 2 amazing performances for the Premier League side! Unfortunately he has been subject to a major mistake, moving on loan to Nottingham Forest, but is ineligable to play!

International: Came on in the 32nd minute and scored a goal for the U21's! You can't really ask more from a substitute striker and he put a claim in that he should be starting which i'm sure will be heard! Ended the match with a 7.8 rating.

1 PA Challenge

Right guys, i'm working on the update again so keep checking back! :D

In the mean time, there is a 1 PA challenge! If you are able to correctly guess who wins the quarter award before I have completed the update, you will win 1 PA :)

Category 1:

Category 2:

If you manage to get both correct, you will gain an extra award of being able to pick a move to add to your player!

Very much impressed with Stefano Luigi in the championship. :D Pity he wasn't in the running for it, he would have walked it by a mile this quarter.

That just proves he's intelligent, picking Bristol City over the other 2 massive clubs. I didn't expect him to play as much as he did, but he has taken the Championship by storm! We may hear Barcelona come calling soon haha!

So if we said stefano luigi as our guess for category 1... even though he cant win it... do we still win the prize if we guess category 2 right?? cause luigi woulda won it, had he been eligible :-)

Yes, the prize of 1 PA was always for getting one correct, you just miss out on the extra bonus if you get the other wrong and in this case, if you picked Luigi, unfortunately you are wrong, so you wouldn't get the bonus.

Season 1 (3rd Quarter) Award Candidates

He has played 2 more games than last quarter and conceded 4 less, whilst gaining 3 more clean sheets. He just needs to continue on in this manner and hopefully improve even more.
