A lot. Sat just above the relegation spots for most of the season. My last mini update was posting a pic where I conceded an equalising penalty and then a winner in injury time as I lost 5-4 away. It seems that by taking a player on trial you can get far better advice about the player than if you get your scouts to look at him. sergent21 Posted November 30, 2007 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Just finished my 1st season with a respectable finish, and whilst going through pre season, had a thought that my rep had surely incrersed, meaning that I would be able to get better players. Thats what I thought.. Tried to sign a few players who my scout said were good players, only to find that they rejected me to go to a team in an unplayable league So then I thought, I know, I'll go and loan some players from a couple of players from Championship sides. Well I had the same problems here too, with players going to teams in unplayable team , presumably because the other team had got a better rep. I could.nt see this happening in real life, maybe on the odd occasion but not everytime. Seems like rep plays too much of a part because surely they would want to play a higher standard of football, and makes this even more frustrating than it already is. Rant over. I cant say that im to dissapointed, since its the first year in championship, but im pretty annoyed that most of our draws came from late goals from the opposition. The FA cup was quite better, we got knocked out in the 6th round by newcastle, but we managed to earn about 500k on that match! Squad And my best players: Bradshaw Once again top goal scorer! 36 goals, he will become a club legend im sure ! Frimpong Good display from the left mid. i got him for free from arsenal this year. i had him on loan in the 13/14 season, where he did good as well. Dill He has been a backup the last 4 years, but this year i gave him the chance, and he did great! Finances Looks decent. it will run itself when i get my new stadium this season, 12000 seater. Club Information Our facilities has been upgraded, but i will be looking for them to upgrade the youth again next season. I dont exactly know where ill be looking to strengthen my team, i have good backup most places, i might look at the defence because of all the late goals ive been conceeding. At one stage i thought i was going to win the league but a dip in form meant i finished 3rd. i probably had the best team in the league but the poor run at the beginning cost me (including a 10-0 loss the worst in my FM career). The only thing I am doing differently is opposition instructions pre-game. Oh well. Maybe it's just the "dives into tackles" PPM raising it's head. I have 5 players at the club with that PPM and 4 of them are regular starters. Conversely I have 1 player with the PPM "does not dive into tackles", and he has been dropped to regain some form after the media singled him out for some abuse .
