Hi there, I just into a new adventure, with Groningen that is going through a bad time and far from being the best side in the league, but I want to try to succeed here. I want to play a 442. What do you guys think about the roles/duties selection? I wanted to use a BBM for example, but I don't have the player for that. Oh and this team has some troubles with team work. Many players lack that attribute. Thank you. @herne79 I was kind of inspired by your West Ham's 442. Do you mind to give your input here?

Hello, I'd like to try something different, and since I'm still playing the 21 version, is there anywhere a place where I can download saved games from other people? Thank you.

That is even harder than I though! I also play with no attributes, but I have stars, and you have basically nothing there as a attribute guideline. That's a hard one. I don't know if you've already did one, but I'd really like to see a video where you explain how do you play the game in that way. And btw, because statistics in FM21 might be a bit broken (?) and not very reliable, do you think you'd have enough player information to make you play that way in that previous version of the game?

I've never take care of general training, only the individual. But I want to level up my game and create one my own, based in the way I try to make my team play. But I have very little experience with that and I don't know what to use. When you create your training, you create the same one for every month? Thanks

So, and I know this is a game and things are not predictable (because I've had players learning traits without even being in mentoring groups, and even players with high status in my club, but what's the "easiest" way to inherit traits? The mentoree being in the same training unit and the same position?

@herne79regarding training, I have a youngster fullback that already has good defensive attributes, and since he will be a kind of IWB I want him to mostly develop attacking attributes now, so I don't want to waste defensive training on him. He already has good positioning and tackling. So is it ok to play him at a fullback position but put him in a individual training for a advanced playmaker or something similar (because all the fullback positions train defensive aspects) ?

I'm also playing with Leverkusen, FM21 tho. But I'm already a few seasons in, to a point where Schalke is a very strong team. -
FM21 Corrupted save game file
mikcheck replied to mikcheck's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
I don't have backups, I always save in one singles file. The truth is that this never happened to me since I buy the game on steam. It's really strange it occurred. -
Hello there, I was saving the game and I had a message that it found an error and had to be closed. I can't load the save now. Any chance of salvation? Thanks.

Help with tactic fine tuning
mikcheck replied to nic4301's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
@nic4301how have you been doing? It's curious because I use the exact same tactic (different roles and instructions) in my Bayer Leverkusen side, with mixed results. But I like this system because it's that like that most common tactics that we see with maxed out DL, LOE and pressing. It can generate some good counter attacks too. I'd say it's more difficult to win with these kind of systems and that's why I also like to usem them. I'm far from expert with tactics (if I was I'd certainly win more than I do ) and hopefully some better tacticians will give you some advice. However 2 things that stand out for me is that you focus play down the right, but you have a ball magnet playmaker on the left side, so have you really seen that focus being done on the right side? The other thing is that you want Rashford to be one of you main goalscorers, so I'm not sure if stay wider PI is a good option? Maybe that'd make more sense in Solomon, as that could open space for the SV on his side. As for the width, I use extremely wide, because I want to take advantage of the space and use the full width. I reckon that it may not be always the best option but I always leave it like that. I use balanced mentality tho. -
The FM22 AMC Thread
mikcheck replied to Johnny Ace's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
I think it makes sense to be contradictory, someone who likes to play with back to goal is unlikely to get further forward often. -
Revisiting Old Threads
mikcheck replied to herne79's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Thanks. Yes it really sucks. I'm still playing FM21, but so far from my experience, it's almost impossible to make players unlearn those unwanted traits. Now I have a WM on support with an unwanted get forward trait next to a SV on attack with gets into opposition area (this one I made him to learn) and that sucks and will certainly unbalance my team in certain situations. -
Revisiting Old Threads
mikcheck replied to herne79's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Hi herne, Since you've mentioned that getting forward trait, I'd like to know your opinion on something pls Unfortunately for me, both of the players inside the red circle learned that trait out of nowhere and I really doubt they'll unlearn it now. What would you do? Would you change their duties (I really didn't want to change the WM duty to defend, I think it would make him too cautious in a balanced mentality) or would you add hold position PI on both for example? Thanks! -
Winning Europa League with Minion - Possible?
mikcheck replied to phd_angel's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
What should be harder in your opinion or what's the reasons you think it made you win that more or less easely? The fact that AI have poor team building? The money you had in the bank?
