  1. I leave scouting to the chief scout, that makes the game more realistic for me.
  2. @Cleoncould you answer this? Do you think that the low/mid block tactics work just fine despite many people complain that it doesnt work and is broken in FM?
  3. Using a 2 striker system, the one you want to be the main scorer, will you use him on the wrong side of his preferred foot? A left footed striker on the right side for example. Is that something you pay attention to? Thanks
  4. Thanks, that make sense. And do you think that the low block needs to be worked, like they say they're doing it in FM23?
  5. I don't know if it's the same case with FM22, but are long throws overpowered in FM21 (the version I'm playing) or in general, in your opinion? I just noticed that I have a player with good attribute and I've scored 2 goals from long throws in just 1 match.
  6. I thought you'd have even lower. I just enjoy it when I win and have low possession 😃
  7. @Cleondo you still playing with that same team? If so, how advanced are you? I'm asking this because that system relies a a lot on the attacking WB's, they really need to be good and excel. But it's known that the game does not produce many quality WB newgens, with good attacking attributes. Finding one with good dribbling and crossing it's like finding gold, let alone good off the ball too. So how are you solving or how would you solve that? Training wingers to be WB's?
  8. Did you guys ever tried "stay wider" PI in a striker, using a 2 striker formation? I tried in one of my strikers in a 442 formation, but (at least on my eyes) I don't see much of a difference using it or not.
  9. So you keep that tempo high even if the opposition is defending with low lines?
  10. That's great! I'm looking forward to read it and see how you do it, if you change things or keep it the same
  11. @Cleondo you agree that it's almost impossible to play that same way later in the game when you'll have a better squad and teams start playing more defensive against you? Or is it something you can see working long term?
  12. I just went for a positive mentality because I want faster transitions, don't want my players to take to much time to get to the other area. I've just accepted a job offer from Groningen and far from being a big club in the league. Would you use a balanced mentality and higher tempo, for example? As for the centre 2, being only 2 there and if they're too passive, are you referring to a change in DLP duty to support instead? Because I believe changing one of them to an attacking duty would make me too vulnerable? Thanks
  13. Thanks. Well it's more a counter attacking style, that is why I also have a postiive mentality, to be a little more direct. I was going to opt for a AF, but I found that sometimes the ball was too direct for him and too soon, that's why I changed for a PF instead. About the middle two and a high press, could you elaborate please? Is it the roles? Too adventurous? Too conservative?
  14. @Cleon thanks for another great contribution with great info! Regarding this thread subject, would you please give me your opinion on this formation? Is it ok, theoretically?
  15. Godwin looks really promising and ready for 1st team football. Still using 442 or 433 with your West Ham side?
  16. Let's say that you have some money, thanks to some players you sold and you have to spend that money wisely. There's some positions with players below the standards. Would you rather buy more players for a cheaper price and for more positions, but those players are not that much better that the ones you had or to keep some of those poorer players in their positions and buy less players, but players that are quality and thus more expensive?
  17. Hello guys, If you're a club with not much money, would you prefer to buy more players for more positions or less players but with better quality?
  18. If you see your team fail too many passes or being intercepted, do you think it makes sense to play narrow if you're playing with a positive mentality for example?
  19. Thanks for your reply. I actually think that the player I use there fits the CF role. He's obviously not the best in the world but I guess he'll be capable to perform there.
  20. The other guys looks like this: But yes, I think it would work better if I swap them. The 1st guy playing as a DLP(s) and this one playing as a CM(s) or B2B. But I'm also looking for a better player here, a faster and younger one, mainly. I understand and now that I really look at the players and their traits, it definitely makes more sense to change their positions and roles, as I said above. The first one as a DLP(d) and the 2nd guy as a CM(s) or B2B. Of course that it's just theory and I've only played 2 games, but I will take the role change you suggested because it makes more sense and it fits the players better. Regarding GK distribution? I normally like to play to my centre backs, but this time is different because they're not comfortable nor composed with the ball, but at the same time I don't want him to always be kicking long, with the risk of losing possession many times. So I guess that the better option here could be no instructions at all?
  21. Thanks! Despite he's a FB(s), he already have gets forward trait. But yes, even though I'm really bad at spotting things and see what's wrong or not during the game, I need to try and see the behavior of that side, if there is lack of width. Regarding the BWM, this is the player I have, would he be good enough to play B2B or even CM(s). His off the ball his bad and I think it's important for a B2B, at least. Thanks! About the playmaker on the wing, I've rarely tried it so far. When I use one, which is also rare, I usually put him in the middle. As for the BWM player, you can see the picture above. I don't think he's really fits B2B role, very low off the ball, don't you think? Yes I will try to keep and eye on the left flank, that is also why I have the CF(s) and the supporting midfielder there, so the CF(s) can help open up space for him to attack and the supporting midfielder can also help feed him the ball. Does it make sense? About the centre backs yeah I really don't know what to do there. I like the play to start from the centre backs, but at the same time, they are poor at passing and even composure. So maybe it's better to just leave it with no instructions?
