  1. Sorry, I didn't quite get your words. You're saying that I should train them within the same role and it's important for that bar to be full?
  2. Hi, Do you guys care about position/role/duty familiarity? If so, I guess you train your players in the role you want them to play? How negative is to have an awkard familiarity there? Because for example I have someone who plays as a CF(s) but I train him as a DLF(s) instead, because he's already too good at heading and I don't want him to waste attributes in long shots for example.
  3. Thank you. Oh maybe he doesn't have it, but I'm still playing FM21 version, and both FB(A) and WB(A) have cross more often.
  4. Hi. If you want a player in FB position to be aggressive but avoid crossing too much like and attacking duty does, how would you solve this? Using him as a WB(s) and teach him "get forward" trait for example?
  5. @Cleon question not exactly related with this topic subject, but more with the strikers. I know you play attributeless, but let's assume you'd play with attributes and you'd find 2 strikers that would fit your system. Would you still sign them if the one playing for the support role had "gets forward trait" and the attacking one "comes deep" traits?
  6. I'm still playing FM21, but I also find it very hard to change some personalities. Sometimes it changes, but other times it doesn't. I guess you also need to have a bit of luck. It is what it is. Unfortunately I had to say no to young talents who could potentially fit the way I want to play because they had personalities like fickle or mercenary, which I find incredibly hard to change. I'm even a bit skeptical when they have a balanced personality, because I hate that one too lol.
  7. Hi, When you have this option, so the player wears protective equipment (arm injury for example), do you choose it over a specialist?
  8. Thanks for another article @Cleon Which style you prefer between those you've presented us? A lower block or a possession playing style?
  9. Do you always train your players with the same role you play them?
  10. Hello guys, I use a flat 442 (FM21) and on the side of the more defensive minded midfielder I use a more adventurous FB. But I never really know if it's best to use a WB(s) or FB(a), I think mainly because the player has gets forward trait. The goal of that player is to give width on that side, since the player in front of him is instructed to sit narrower.
  11. Hi, We know that some attributes barely improve with training, mainly some physical ones. But what about strength, can it be improved nicely with strength training?
  12. Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know
  13. Hi, When you scout a player, you only scout until full knowledge? Or you scout him for a few months or for a few games?
  14. Could you guys give me your inputs on this, mainly the PI's? The IW(a) also has the trait to cut inside from both wings and both BBM and WB(s) to get forward. Thank you.
  15. Do you guys defend narrow or wide depending on the opposition formation or your own? Or dou you leave it on standard? For example I play a flat 442 but I never know what do go for. But normally if the opposition play with a 3 man midfield (which is basically most of the teams I play against) I go for narrow defending.
  16. Good luck trying to find a striker with good positioning, tackling and concentration
  17. Playing at that tempo is something I'm willing to keep because that's the playing style that I want to implement in my team by also trying to get players with good work rate, decisions and some speed (mainly the ones with attacking roles) I understand what you say about the DM's but I feel that we defend too deep for my liking with that system (I'm still playing my 2021 version save, so I don't know exactly how the double DM work in FM23) . I know that I already defend deep by having lowe LOE with a balanced mentality and I feel that it's not that bad, even though I'm getting mixed results but when the attacking works, it's really nice to see my fast attacking players exploding with fast counters.
  18. @frukoxwhen you face a team that plays with a 433 for example, would you ask your supporting forward to mark their DMC, to help your 2 midfielders? Or do you prefer him to be available for the counter attacks?
  19. Those are really low prices and so easy to buy for such good teams. For them, that's just a nickle. And we can't even say that the players weren't playing in their former teams, because they clearly were, judging by total apps. Have you seen more crazy transfer prices like those?
  20. @frukoxI like your setup, I'm also using a flat 442 (FM21 tho). But having 2 roaming players in the middle of a flat 442 is too risky, so they must be really hard workers and versatile (both attacking and defending) to make it work
  21. Is it something that you do? And if you do it, is it only with the purpose of keep the bar out from awkard? Edit: Sorry I've already read that it's something you do yes, but what about the 2nd question?
  22. So, the only way to make that position/role/duty bar fluid (or at least not awkward) is to train the player with the same role he plays?
  23. If you want your GK to kick the ball to longer distances, like playing in a more counter attacking style, which attributes you look for? Kicking and passing?
  24. @crusadertsar would you use a role like a PF in a classic 442 with this kind of playing style? I'm asking this because it's a player who normally close down more.
