  1. Champions League is licensed 👀 https://www.footballmanager.com/news/uefa-licenced-competitions-come-football-manager
  2. The Man Utd goal for 3-1 against Arsenal reminded me a lot of this thread Eriksen left unmarked in his own half when Fabio Viera went to press Ronaldo and Xhaka following, with the Arsenal CBs split, leaving him wide open for a through ball with a direct run at goal to layoff the assist for Rashford.
  3. Does anyone see very long distance goals in FM22? Like ones from the centre circle/halfway line or the player's own half, often when the opposing goalkeeper is outside the box when his team are losing and trying to commit everyone forward or that team are just playing a suicidally high defensive line. I feel like, with so many matches played across the various different leagues, in real life you see at least one every week, but I don't think I've seen one in FM22. Is that the case or is it just less easily found/noticed when it does occur? Goals like Ismaïla Sarr vs West Brom below or this one from the League of Ireland are the ones I mean.
  4. Apologies if this is already in the game, but I wasn't able to find it if it is. Since 2018, the German 3. Liga has a "Youth development fund" ("Nachwuchsfördertopf") in which as of the 21-22 season the DFB pays out €2.95 million, divided amongst the teams according to the playing time given to U21 players with German citizenship. The fund is intended to support 3. Liga clubs with academies/performance centres, and II Teams are excluded from this fund as their parent clubs are already in the Bundesliga. Money from the fund can only go towards the "non-profit promotion of young talent" as the DFB words it. There will be slight changes to how the development fund works for the 2022/23 season: Source for the quote: https://www.dfb.de/news/detail/das-ist-der-nachwuchsfoerdertopf-3-liga-207727/ You can read more about how the fund works in the link above or here for a general rundown of how the fund was allocated for the 2021/22 season: https://www.liga3-online.de/nachwuchsfoerdertopf-2122-wie-viel-geld-die-klubs-kassieren/
  5. Simple suggestion really. When you're offering a player out, it would be useful to add some more options to the "Targets - Clubs to propose to" dropdown: Useful additions would be: All clubs in [Competition] > Search box popup similar to "Team Finder" when you click "Other" All clubs in [Nation] > Search box All domestic lower league clubs > Tick box Clubs with good relationship > Further dropdown list (useful if there's a club you often send players on loan to, or if there's a manager you have a good relationship with) This would save a lot of time when offering players out for loans, as currently if you want to offer a player out to every club in a certain division you have to enter them all manually.
  6. Scheduling friendlies for my U19 team is a nightmare. I go and find a U19 team I want mine to play a friendly against, but "Propose Friendly" takes me to the scheduling page for the SENIOR team. No matter what I do, what page I click "Propose Friendly" from or attempts to find a workaround, the only way I can propose a friendly for my U19 side is to do so through Dev Centre > Under 19s > Fixtures > Arrange Friendly. The trouble with that is that you can't search for a specific team to play a friendly against, you're only given a list of 15 teams per category (Very Large/Larger/Similar/Smaller/Very Small, each divided into domestic and foreign, plus Nearby and Affiliated clubs). The "Choose Other" button takes you to an unsearchable list which is very inefficient and doesn't show U19 teams. Why can't that list be changed to the Team Finder search box that's already used for "Offer to Clubs" transfer targets (with the addition of being able to search for U19 teams)? Another change I'd like would be, when another club proposes a friendly, that another option beside just "Accept" or "Reject" is added - "Reschedule". Sometimes a club will propose a friendly at a bad date for me (e.g. in preseason two days after one match and two days before another, when I have a day with a free 6 days either side available) but everything else in the proposal is good and I want to propose a different date instead - this will save time having to go to Arrange Friendly and re-enter it all manually. Finally, occasionally in real life you'll see clubs schedule 120 minute friendlies (either two halves of 60 minutes, or 2 45s plus an extra 30 minutes) to allow for fringe or youth players to get more time on the pitch, or to provide a better test of players' stamina and endurance. (A few examples: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]). Currently, the only way to schedule a 120 minute friendly is with extra time following a draw after 90 minutes. A planned 120 minute match regardless of the score would be useful to have.
  7. I think it just varies a lot from player to player, some (Honda is a prime example) will gladly go to lesser reputation teams/leagues for more playing time even if there's a significant language or culture barrier, others would rather stay as a fringe player for top teams (or starter for smaller teams) in top leagues.
  8. 🤔 I don't think this agent knows what a pay cut is (I tried offering less p/w as well to the same effect).
  9. The subheadings in Opposition Reports/Post-Match Analaysis are utterly useless. "They completed a large number of passes in the match" is seemingly applied to any amount more than 10 and never changes. In this example, #3 is for 386 passes (noticeably below average vs league mean of 557) whereas #4 is for 648 passes (noticeably above average). "Verl's attacking efficiency numbers are eye-catching" - useless. Doesn't tell me anything about why they're eye-catching, or do anything to summarise the data. If the summary can't be improved to e.g. "They take significantly fewer shots (7pg) than the league average (20th/20)" or "Their conversion rate (11%) is only slightly above average (7th/20)" then it should be removed entirely. The same goes for pretty much every other summary.
  10. AI squad-building 😂 Team in the 2. Bundesliga signed 4 goalkeepers - Tim Simon (27 years old) is their first choice and played 70% of their games this season - Felix Kröner (22 years old) played the rest, mostly at the start of the season because Simon was injured - Dennis Bürger (35 years old) was their first GK signing this season, brought in on a free transer as they released their previous third choice GK. Played no games - Dirk Fuhr (22 years old) was signed in October on a free transfer, a couple of days after Simon picked up a concussion and was out for two weeks. Played no games - Tomasz Kubina (24 years old) was signed in the January window for a fee of €53k. Played no games - Not content with their goalkeeper roster, they signed Dennis Nilsson (20 years old) at the end of the January window for €300k. You guessed it, played no games. - They also have an 18 year old goalkeeper (Oliver Thöne) out on loan who played 2 league games for them last season and has a higher transfer value than Kubina
  11. It would only have an effect for matches going forward; if the previous storage space was full then the game would have overwritten older matches and they wouldn't be restored by just adding more storage.
  12. Only if they sell him for more than they bought him for though. It's possible that they'll make him available for loan in the future too if you want to bring him back short-term.
  13. Maybe, it's impossible for me to know. The devs have occasionally said that some implemented features were on their list for years 🤷‍♂️
  14. Apparently I posted it three years ago! It was marked as reviewed so I assume will be somewhere in the dev team's long list of "potential features"
  15. A key pass is any final pass before a shot (usually one that doesn't lead to a goal). A pre-assist is the final pass to the player who makes the assist.
  16. I've suggested this before. No clue why it hasn't been implemented yet as it would be very logical!
  17. OP is playing FM18 though - FM20 onwards removed support for 32-bit operating systems (having to legacy support them meant it was limiting some features) so I think that might have increased the maximum file size going forwards. A 2GB filesize (2 billion bytes) is approximately the same as the maximum 32-bit integer - 2,147,483,647 so it makes sense that the max filesize in FM19 and prior was set to that number.
  18. While coaching in the German 3. Liga (with semi-pro playing history and studying for Continental Pro Licence) I was, surprisingly, offered the Japan job. Would be an interesting NT to manage with quite a few Japanese players in Germany.
  19. Back in FM20 I think, Sigurd Grønli was the go-to. For some reason the Tromsø researcher gave him a ridiculous PA and he was good enough for the 2. Bundesliga in the first season.
  20. I've reported it as a bug before - what seems to be happening is that they want Important Player status for the second team and for whatever reason that's what the contract is being negotiated as.
  21. Every time a player you've sent on loan is doing well: "Do you think perhaps he's outgrown LoanClub and needs a new challenge at this stage?" Even if he's only been there for three games. Incredibly dull and one-dimensional.
  22. Is this mistimed slide tackle a new animation for FM22? Seen it a couple of times in recent matches and it looks really fluid.
