5-0 against Chelsea was a big result for River. I knew you'd like it when I saw it.

Thanks for rubbing that in! ;)

I was just making sure you hadn't missed it :D

but we all know why i lost against benfica messi = injured thats wHY!

I warned you he'd get injured :p

Not the greatest start for Lyon, but Valencia and Porto do have good teams (Well im yet t check Porto but Valencia does)

EDIT - And it seems i have a catch up game against... none other then Man Utd

Not a bad set of results for me atleast im scoring goals.

I liek the fact Elmander and Rocchi are both scoring.

I never understood why elmander kept annoying me when against him in the premiership and now i see why.

Great work lad you've done amazing with commitment so far keep it coming.

Mid - September 2008 Update

I have decided to do an update every two weeks due to the sheer volume of fixtures to wrtie up. This will slow things down a little, but it makes it easier for me to write up as I am not writing up big chunks of the season.

During the latter stages of August quite a few League Cup games were played which I didn't cover. So here are those results in brief.

League Cup First Round - Wednesday 13th August

Colchester 0 - 4 Porto

Juventus 6 - 1 Peterborough

League Cup Second Round - Tuesday 26th August

Inter 3 - 2 Leicester

League Cup Second Round - Wednesday 27th August

Benfica 2 - 0 Milwall

Boca Juniors 3 - 2 Swindon

Chesterfield p 1 - 1 Juventus

FC Bayern 6 - 0 Coventry

Fiorentina 2 - 0 Lincoln

Porto 4 - 0 Crewe

Roma 5 - 1 Rochdale

Sevilla 3 - 0 Brentford

Southend 0 - 2 Sau Paulo

Valencia 5 - 0 Hereford

Wycombe 0 - 3 Olympique Lyonnais

League Cup Second Round - Saturday 13th September

Southampton 0 - 4 Barcelona

Most of the teams made it through the second round with the suprise result at Chesterfield who managed to put Juventus put on penalties. The number of home games for the teams was quite suprising as well.

Boca Juniors still sit top of the injury table, and it is showing. They currently occupy a relegation place with only 1 win in 4 games.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, have seen some great form and most of their injuries have now healed.

A win!! You'll all pay once Nedved and Mexes are fit again. I trust my son is being put to best use considering his mad skills and providing excellent boot cleaning service for the rest of the team.

This how the table looks now:

League Table

As Fiorentina only picked up 1 point out of a possible 6 they see themselves off the top and into 5th. Benfica are the new leaders. Despite still not winning, Real Madrid are no longer bottom. That place belongs to Boca who will need to start getting points if they want to survive this season.

Player Stats

Emmanuel Adebayor and, possibly a suprise to many, Tommaso Rocchi lead the scoring chart with 6 goals. Also a possible suprise is the fact that Liedson of Olympique Lyonnais is just one goal behind them with 5.

Injury Table Part Two

A Little Something Extra...

Aid Rhodes (Bawbag_the_gr8) of Chelsea will be glad to know that his son is doing well on loan at Westerlo. He has played 4, and scored 4. He also has an assist. He is looking very good.

Note: From now on, if a regen scores for one of the sign-up teams I will post a screenshot. Who knows - he could be the next biggest thing in football.

Just remembered about this!

Sorry!

Real Madrid(me) are doing terrible, we can't seem to get a win anywhere.

We even lost against ten-men Valencia.

Come on! Pick it up!

My regen looks average. Decent CA but who knows about PA.

Dude my team is getting RED CARDS EACH ****ING GAME its unfair :(

At least you've won the European Super Cup, and the Community Shield.

On the topic of red cards - There have been an astonishing 18 red cards in 60 league games. Thats almost one every three matches.
