That doesn't count then unfortunately, so under my management he has 88 games only, maybe at 25 I could scrape past 500. sk8ingperson1 Posted August 2, 2009 Share Posted August 2, 2009 just noticed in the rules at the start it says to get one of your players to reach 1000 games in all competitions throughtout his career. but then you say has to be under your management? surely a players whole career is his whole career regardless of who he plays for, though the majority of games will be under said users management? if the whole career doesnt count maybe knock off 5 for fransson and a few for luis guilherme, as they started and played at other clubs. i think all appearances should count, doesnt necessarily make it easier to acheive, but at the end of the day, they are still making appearances Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

sk8ingperson1 Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 if we follow the origional guidlines and take those as clarification they should all count, because it does say "career appearances". so any professional appearances should count to the total. luis guilherme should easily do this challenge, not so sure about my beloved fransson, he's aging rapidly! though i'll give it a fair go, just giv him 70mins a game and 2days rest a week lol. and personally, i think the main problem with when you end up playin the certain players in the same position week in week out is not injuries (though that is a ballache), but the fact that for 2 decades no-one else in your team really gets a shout, which makes it a **** or bust scenaro for those trying to make it; if one player gets a serious injury uve wasted 19years trying it, and ****ed off your other players for no good reason! He's had a few injuries, including one or two long-ish ones (2-3 months). But i think the original post said something about 1000 apps UNDER YOUR MANAGEMENT? I dunno. International games do count. This can be run alongside any challenge or game. For you player to gain elite status, he must have an average rating of over 7.00 over his career. If he reaches 1000 games and does not have the required rating over his career, he will still enter the hall of fame but will not gain elite status. For your player to gain super elite status, then he must have played over 1000 games in his career and got a rating of over 7.50 over his entire career. Rules Genie Scout or any other scouting tool is not permitted. For any of your players to gain elite or super elite status then he must of played over 1000 games. International games do count the origional post just says career, which is fairer than the updated afterthought of a player doing it whilst under your management. maybe have a section for one-club players, and the rest should finish their career with you? or hav a minimum of 15 seasons at your club, that way it would stop people just goin through the games finding random regens who hav 1000games? i dno, im just musing aloud i guess lol Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

However if i've accidentally done it i guess it's possible, but i havent done anything wierd from corners. and he doesnt take penalties, either...one of my YPs takes them.... (see Neppo's thread!) Zach Norman - DL/WBL/ML - only U21 caps so they won't count Let me know if there are any other screenshots I need to provide. I doubt their appearances will be going up much more as they are already getting quite old and I dont think they are Premiership quality players. For any of you who frequent JoseRR's thread you may be aware of him - Diego Pastore, as of the end of last season he had played 464 games for the club scoring 236 goals with an average rating of 7.05. At the tender age of 16, pretty amazing. Got to play in the Euro Final, for England. Which we won. That's him on 12 caps. Lol, just checked most apps for my club. Got a left back with 535 games. He didn't play much in the cups, only taken him upto around 550 I think. ill check at the end of the season. 20k for him was a rather good deal. He played 535 games including cups, for me. Tom McKenzie - 125 caps, 63 goals for Ireland 773 games for Merthyr, 444 goals, 7.25 rating (552 games and 295 goals of which were in the Premier league) Has also got 21 games and 5 goals for Shelbourne before I signed him. So I make that 919 games and 512 goals in total. And an ongoing contestant... Craig Fraser - 121 caps, 41 goals for Scotland 624 games and 190 goals for Merthyr with a 7.45 rating 67 apps and 10 goals for Coventry before I signed him. Total = 812 games, 241 goals. At 29 I can see him getting past 600 and maybe pushing on towards the 700 mark depending on fitness. The club's success is giving him more opportunities now. looking busy Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 your best chance is with a goalkeeper for sure, any outfield player playing 60+ games a season will be knackered. Also you'll have to put up with him being a bit dodgy in the first couple of years as most goal keepers under 20 are prone to regular errors (or so i've found in previous versions) The most i had in FM09 was Akinfeev at Man Utd and he got just over 500 appearances over 10 seasons, and that was with a couple of injuries thrown in.
