This is only to make in the game the usual summer friendly that it is played between the two teams. Every year in August a friendly game is organized by Milan against Juve, it's called Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi. If you notice the only term of the agreement is that Milan organizes a friendly each year.
ANDEHLSON
Lol its not like Juventus has any power over Milan. The only purpose of the "connection" is to arrange a friendly match.

bigdunk
Presumably it's just because the game doesn't allow mutual partnerships, one club has to be the parent, the other the feeder. Maybe the game should allow something like this - it's certainly more the way that Derby's link up with FC Utrecht is supposed to work: a mutual exchange of coaching ideas and potentially with young players going both ways on loan. Ando THFC
So they're not your feeder team, they're just affiliated.
SI Staff EdL Posted December 12, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted December 12, 2008 The deal is just in there so they play an annual friendly as in real life. It doesn't involve loaning players etc.
ACMilanBRA
They are just affiliated for friendly matches, in some seasons once i got my rep better with AC milan the board cancelled this.
ricki.bertolino
They are just affiliated for friendly matches, in some seasons once i got my rep better with AC milan the board cancelled this. Well, you shouldn't have done that, since it is a traditional appointment of the summer football in Italy in real life
iacovone
Guys I think the link is because of a friendly they play in real life. The Trofeo Luigi Burlesconi or something.

ACMilanBRA
Well, you shouldn't have done that, since it is a traditional appointment of the summer football in Italy in real life I didnt, the board just cancelled it automatically after some seasons. Schotsmannetje
Edgar Davids? Very wild guess. First player that came to my mind that has played for both teams. Ah never mind, silly guess, I know the answer now. Has to be Inzaghi.

Schotsmannetje
Yeah it just came to my mind when I played against Milan with my Arsenal in the CL. Won 4-1 on aggregate, by the way. And yes, the only Milan goal was by Inzaghi.

FM1000
Yeah that would be good cus it's imposible to arrange a frendly with Man Utd or Barcelona when you are managing Milan

El Zar
And the Emirates cup and the various other friendly tournaments over the summer. I'm just surprised that SI have ignored such an important part of Spanish pre-season football - Trofeo Ramon de Carranza, Trofeo Nuevo Colombino, Trofeo Teresa Herrera to name just a few of the prestigious tournaments. Naughty James
what next? Doncaster Village Cup?
dafuge
Perhaps it is about time that the terms 'parent' and 'feeder' were dropped from the affiliated clubs feature. It can be quite misleading, especially as 'feeder' clubs are supposed to be banned by the FA.
El Zar
what next? Doncaster Village Cup? Of course not, pre-season tournaments aren't an important part of British football. Emirates Cup - Arsenal Amsterdam Tournament - Ajax Santiago Bernabeu Trophy - Real Madrid Teresa Herrera Trophy - Deportivo Ramon de Carranza Trophy - Cadiz Gamper Trophy- Barcelona Berlusconi Cup - Milan It wouldn't be that hard to hard-code it into the game, given that you can set up the rules for pre-season tournaments already.
