The two Amazon links are the same, not sure if that's intentional or not.

But either way, the Amazon one is the one to go for from the three.  It'll do the job based on what you've said you're looking for.

Try at least Intel i5 or AMD RYZEN 5. At least 8 gb and research if the RAM is easy to change IF you want faster/better or MORE RAM in near future.

Be careful giving super generic advice like this.  Reading that, someone may for example go for a laptop with the Ryzen 5 3500U, and the i3 he'd linked actually benchmarks higher.

Hello, I'm looking for a new laptop solely to play FM. My budget is £900. I would like it to handle FM 22 also. I found these?

They're all great.  FM22 specs seem to be identical to FM21.

Specs wise, I'd go for the middle one as that Ryzen 7 does score a little higher than the i7 in the other two but it is close.  It is refurbished though, so I would check the 12 month warranty still applies.

If not, go for the Medion as the graphics card is better - whilst that isn't necessary for FM, you may as well get the better option seeing as they're priced the same.  It does give you a bit more flexibility if you do decide to play other games and want higher graphical settings.

If you're happy with what you've got, then simply plugging a mouse in should sort out the issue.

But, yes, you can get a reasonably decent upgrade for that budget.  https://www.box.co.uk/39P48EAABU-HP-Pavilion-15-ec1002na-AMD-Ryzen-5-8GB-_3561212.html

Hold on - something I didn't even think to ask.  Can you send me the link of the other one so I can see the full spec please?  There's no note of a graphics card on the other one, and it was very remiss of me not to notice.

That one has an i5 rather than the Ryzen 5.  But I'd choose this one due to the dedicated graphics card, which the Huawei doesn't have.

i was thinking that I do like the form factor or the huawei and the cpu but the GPU of the Lenovo is edging it for me. I do have 3D on most of the time

I only see matches with comment not 3D/2d
which processers are bedst amd or Intel

Can't really give a generic answer. AMD and Intel both do CPUs which are strong and weak.

If you want some help, best thing would be to state your budget and we can offer some suggestions.

What leagues can these run with ease?

If you read the opening post you will see it can't be determined.

In my opinion, all computers can run all leagues with ease. Just depends on how you view ease. 20 minutes per day might be fine for me, but slow for you. It's all relative.

That being said - it's an excellent computer, so you could probably run all the leagues.

There are other factors - how many seasons do you usually play? I play 100 seasons and start over. So loading all leagues and storing all data for 100 seasons with all leagues would not work.

But if you only play for 10 seaons, you could reasonably load all the leagues. Or 5 seasons.

It's all relative though, what are you happy with in terms of performance.

so these are the 4 options I have narrowed it down to. Which would you recommend for a budget laptop for only playing FM22 on? Want to run a few leagues with med database but generally not past 10 seasons. Also would like to have the option of watching highlights in 3d.

If you can stretch to an extra £20 over the most expensive one of the 4, then this is a significant upgrade on all of them: https://www.box.co.uk/30031049-Medion-Akoya-E14303-AMD-Ryzen-5-8GB-RAM-_3552562.html

If not, either of the first two - the CPUs score very closely in the benchmarks, to the point that it's basically a coinflip as to which one is the better of the two.  The 4th choice has the same CPU as the 1st one, but is more expensive.  The third one I'd leave out of consideration.

I know the Dell XPS 9310 can run football manager really well and with very high graphics settings.  But the MacBook M1's are so tempting.  So question is can the M1's run FM with very high settings and run it without issue? I've seen reports of overheating etc.

People on here are saying the MacBook Air is running hot, I'm guessing due to the lack of fans.

Seems to be less of an issue with the MacBook Pro.

Have a Macbook Air M1 myself, can confirm it runs hot on 3D, 2D no issue (and 3D still runs on high details but chassis does get hot)

Overall though purely for FM, the Macbook Air M1, is probably the quickest (in terms of bang for buck) you can get to play FM (Check out benchmarking thread, mutiple examples near the top of those tests)

My only cons, would be screen size if you don't connect it to an external monitor (which I do) and running hot on 3D

Hi, looking to upgrade my laptop for FM 22 - I will use it mainly for FM, maybe I'd also use it for streaming and some video editing. Of course I'd like to select as many leagues and players as possible.

My ideal budget is around 1000 EUR (around 900 GBP I guess), but can go a little over, if there's a significant upgrade.

Thanks for any advice

Can you give some examples of stores you can order from within your country (you've not stated where you're based) - I can have a look and see what's on offer where you are.

Hi Gents

Looking at a new laptop for FM22, but not bought a laptop for c5 years so out of the loop of whats good or not. So any advice is welcome.

Ideally for FM; 3D ME high settings, 5/6 leagues at most, large DB.

Spec-wise; SSD, dedicated graphics card ? (though currently have NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M that has caused lots of issues even at lower settings), 15" or 17" screen, good build quality (have a Lenovo that is disappointing build-wise), future proofed as much as poss

Other use; web, streaming/Netflix/Spotify, online research (of course)

Budget; c£600 +/- c£50 (realistic?)

Did see these, but open to your guys alternative suggestions...

My ignorance - is that because its the same or better but a tad cheaper than the other two? I've always had Intel, so how does the AMD compare?
