I love this! You play against so many clubs which I played against in youth and senior level. I made it myself too the derde klasse (7th level?). Beer afterwards was always the most important moment of my football career.

Very well done so far, I'm interested to see at what level you'll stop bossing it at the first try...

I suspect next season is where we'll begin to struggle, the team that got promoted last year are currently in 7th after back-to-back promotions and also teams turn semi-pro in the 6th tier.

What's it with all the stuff being so close to me? I literally went close to Winsum on vacation last year.

(Also, 'Green Yellow' has jumped from the guy who does Kloosterburen to you. Might be a different team though, interesting. Should look into that.)

It's the same Groen Geel, well, I'm playing against the Groen Geel first team whilst @Kubson is facing the Groen Geel reserve team in his league. :)

Ah. I actually didn't know that many reserve teams played in the competition. I thought it was only the 'Jong' teams, teams that play in the competition of the other day in the weekend and some amateur versions of big clubs. You learn something every day.

Unbelievable end of the season with 16 goals scored in the final 2 games and it crosses the barrier and we scored 100 goals in 26 games! :D

In real life, they actually don't. The confusion kicks in as in the Netherlands, there's two separate amateur pyramids for Saturday and Sunday football. These two don't combine until the third tier (lowest nationwide division). This means some clubs actually have two teams : one on Saturday and one on Sunday (one of the two is generally a lot better than the other).

Obviously this can't be recreated as FM doesn't allow two separate teams from the same club so I guess the person who made the database resorted to this. The only B sides are the professional teams' Jong sides in the top 4 tiers.

Oh Lord. I was actually just two rows in front of the Tietenmeneer when I went to the Women's Euro this summer in Holland. The guy was all fired up and agressive and way too nervous compared to the general audience (which were mostly teenage girls attending this first football match). I resorted to drinking my UEFA tournament Carlsberg 0,5%, like the very stable person I am.

What match? I was planning to go but it didn't quite happen, nor did the billions of friendlies. It'd suprise me if you didn't go to Galgenwaard or Het Kasteel.

Yeah, it was at het Kasteel against Denmark (2nd group match). My girlfriend practically lives next to it so it was worth a try.
