BoxToBox
As far as the nation goes, they may have arrived too soon considering what will be surrounding them. That's the best of the currently capped crew. 4 minutes ago, wynter said: Francioni has the potential to be utterly monstrous, you really hit the jackpot with that intake. BoxToBox
This lad accepted a player/staff role, and is now tutoring Giradi, if that works out we'll find another lad to pitch in during the summer window.
BoxToBox
Another season in the books, and a hell of a one at that, with quite a few improbable things happening, or yet possible. We were never really in the title race, and until very late only barely in the CL race. While our progress is exciting, there's a lot more to look at here. All three promoted sides finished in the top half, with us, Vicenza and Pescara all impressing. Napoli, spent the most weeks at 1st, in fact spent the entire middle of the season 8 points clear of Juventus. They then proceeded to win only 4 of their last 15 games. Only falling out of the CL spots on week 38. Napoli also look very likely to fail FFP, and would be banned from Europe anyway, the interesting thing here is, it's fellow promoted side Vicenza that would land a European spot in place of them, two promoted sides winning European footlball! Chibsah scored goal of the season, and a week later was transfer listed, brutally harsh in hindsight. This budget is terrible, it's what we finished last winters transfer window with. BoxToBox
Began off with that tiny budget, but a combination of begging the board, chopping down squad bonuses, sales, and stretching every deal meant I managed to end up spending 33 million! In non-transfer news, during the pre-season board meeting where they suggest expanding a wage budget or whatever, I got them to upgrade youth recruitment instead, and then a month later it was a requestable option, so we jump two stages, from above average to well established! Most wanted out, the biggest loss was Kapino, but I knew he wanted out and had a keeper on a bosman to replace him already in place. What's not shown here though, is that I also sold a percentage clause to Milan for 2.5m. That makes 28.5m, but I also activated the 5.25m clause on Janio who's loan becomes permanent in January. Zizic is the new stopper in, will fight with Virginia for the position. Berisha is an absolute beast of a box to box, who I'd been tracking a while. Straka is an excellent prospect, and a potential box to box if I adapt my tactics to fit one in for Berisha. *shakes head* An all new first choice backline, we were lucky Atalanta were relegated, otherwise we'd have had no chance with Bastoni, Abdennour is fairly injury prone, so a slight risk, but he has an injury release clause if he gets a serious one. I;d have preferred to keep Hendrych about, but the loan was part of the transfer deal. Aouar is the creative forward I needed, and Llamas comes in to replace a loanee who went back to Palermo. Soli came in on loan as I had to loan out my backup, non-EU left back to be able to sign a 2nd non-EU player this season, Abdennour. Giradi's personality is coming along, I'm guessing his professionalism has reached an average level, still work to be done, but it's looking positive. Brutal CL group... kidthekid
Berisha is one of the most well rounded players I have seen on Fm. He can be anything you want, libero, fullback, cm, winger, AM, st, basically any position except goalie

BoxToBox
This is the second injury since he joined us. As far as I know, he's not injury prone. BoxToBox
This lad's in to ride the pine for a season or two. This one joins in January, a fairly quality looking prospect that was oddly transfer listed by Atletico. Probably still need more keepers at that, Virginia is under a high level of interest from Man City, and a few more English sides.

BoxToBox
Giardi's personality is very much on the right track, Coelho done a wonderful job getting him in line, and now Yanga-Mbiwa is mentoring him. Might be close to a debut. Francioni is coming along well, and has even played two games, as we're short up front. Pasolini was tutored by captain Bruno Pinho, and is coming along very well, we've already rejected a 3m bid from Juventus.
BoxToBox
We're finally at the halfway point, and it's been a strange season so far, one we're taking full advantage of. Juventus started off with three draws and a loss in their first four games, leaving them well off the pace, and getting picked off by random sides. I took a look, and their problem is their squad hasn't been kept well, and is the oldest team in the league, with most of their starters 31+. They have a few good young players, but few is the key word. We're three points clear of Roma, and doing very, very well all things considered. Roma have been a bit odd as well, they have one of the best young wingbacks in the game, and they've not played him at all, content to play Juan Jesus at left back all season long. Oh well, their loss as they've agreed to sell him to us. Chievo are doing great as well, they even spent a few weeks on top, Torino were dead last for ages, but have dug themselves out. A 6th gameday loss away to Real meant we stayed 2nd, a draw would have won the group, but it made little difference, they drew Porto, we drew Sporting, much of a muchness, could argue we get the slightly easier team. Never before have I seen a player in FM chose the pass in that situation! A 17 year old too, wise head on young shoulders.
BoxToBox
Oh, in October, Virginia came demanding a transfer to Man City, I said fine, if they meet our price. 7.5m, he said no, 5.25m, I thought fair enough, lets split the difference, and suggested 6.5m, he says no, 5.25m, so I told him to **** off. Chucked him in the u-20's, and he was getting regular games before this too, mind. Now Man City don't show up on the interested clubs(but could still come in), only Stoke. Oh well. BoxToBox
January was very quiet, I'm actually surprised more teams aren't trying to poach our talents. In the end, no one bid for Virginia, so all he's managed to do is burn his bridges with Dan Marino for no good reason. Outgoing. Almeida I was glad to be rid of, as he was useless for us. Jenkins a lad I pinched from the FFA-COE, and had never played a game for us, odd. Pacheco on deadline day was the big one, he had been an important player for us, but was currently our backup DLP, a role he wasn't especially suited for(more of an AP), and it was a great bid for him, especially as I had a young 6m Italian in mind to replace him with. Incoming. No idea how Pellegrini was let go. Our new backup DLP to replace Pacheco. Been after him for a few years now.
BoxToBox
Bad few days right there. I guess it could be worse, Yanga-Mbiwa is an important player, but we do have lots of depth and prospect at CB. Llamas is a great wingback, but we have Pellegrini, and retained the other lad on loan from Spurs. EDIT:

The only PI's are on the keeper, Distribute to Centre Backs & Roll It Out. This is the more defensive variant, that I started with, which is used in big games or to see out comfortable wins, in a lot of games I'll play Standard and take off Retain Possession, in games against weaker sides Control. BoxToBox
Youth Intake Day! Our quickfire upgrades pay off again, with another generational talent. A point of attack striker, something we've fair depth in, but we'll always take top quality! I'm only tagging these three, though I'll keep a few more around on youth deals. Stacchini looks wonderful, but an awful "looks for pass" trait. Berardi needs a lot of work but highly rated, so might come good. Can't see Balzano being more than a backup. BoxToBox
In the first leg with Sporting, we squeezed out a narrow 1-0 home win, so they knew they had to go for it on their own turf. 4-2-4! Suited us down to the ground, we'd sit back, soak pressure, and hit them on the break when they left themselves exposed. Tidy.

I don't even think we'll need much player wise next summer, barring sales. Maybe a keeper, Zizic hasn't developed much, but that could just be a bad year with all the knocks. BoxToBox
We scraped a win in the first leg, at great cost, with Aouar picking up shin splints, but even with him I expect we'd have lost the 2nd leg like this. We also got our budgets for next summer. Not bad, an extra 9m and 100kpw added on.
