Some bad news guys, my computer has bit the dust for now it seems. I had someone over to look at it and the motherboard is gone or something like that, either way I have to send it back and it's basically gonna be a long while until I play this save, or even if I ever play the save again.

That's a shame things seemed to be turning around, hope you get it back in time for fm17

Thanks guys, unfortunately I have no save backups so I'm guessing it will be gone when I get my PC back although I've not sent it back to the company yet and probably won't get chance too until Wednesday but I'm hoping that I'll get it back in time for FM17. For the time being I'm playing FM10 on my old PC so probably nothing career-worthy!

That's a bit better, we're still in 13th and the majority of teams around us are in good form but it sees us just 8 points away from 3rd, not that we can get that high but it's just nice seeing that the league (or the majority of it) is close at almost the half-way point.

2 Cup games, the first was annoying. We were away to 5th tier USL Dunkerque and out-shot them 38-2 along with our 16 shots on target and yet we didn't find the net until the 108th minute...in the league we got out best result of the season thrashing Saint-Etienne 5-2 and making us the 'best of the rest' in the league.

Nice turnaround! Hopefully we'll see you venture into Europe again soon. Has there been any secret behind your success? As in a tactical change?

Thanks oriole :) And yes we've gone back to the old 4-3-1-2 which has worked a treat with other clubs.

That was way too close for comfort, in the end we have PSG to thank for us being in the Europa League, them beating Caen on penalties in the French Cup sees us enter the Europa League Third Qualifying Round next season!

Vedran Milankovic

Rafal Wolanski

Thibault Provost

18 year old Vedran led us this season, it's a shame he's only here on loan!

Very happy with that pre-season, good results to lead us in to the Europa League and we're predicted to finish 7th in the league which we should be able to manage. Mentioning the Europa League we face Bulgarian side Partizan Cherven Byrag. Yea, me either. In real life they play in the Bulgarian 3rd tier and in-game they finished 8th in the Bulgarian top division and they still play in a 700 capacity stadium.

Some big scores and very big results as we were away from home for the majority of the month, and we actually performed better away from home. We're in 2nd at the half-way point which is much better than I thought we'd be at this stage and our Europa League 1st Knockout Stage has been drawn:

Yup, we don't have much of a chance here.

Another great month sees us through to the Final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Monaco and through to the 11th round of the Coupe de France where we'll face Nantes, in the league we're still in 3rd although a win should see us in 2nd.

Transfers In:

Lars Damgaard - Acacio Calixto - Domagoj Vidosic - Patric Beyer

Patric is undoubtedly the star after he was released by Hoffenheim in the Summer!

Transfers Out:

Getting rid of some players who were barely playing and losing 30 year old Rafal for £7.25m after he was brought in on a free from Sivaspor 18 months ago. Tidy. We've also cut close to £100k p/w off of our wage bill.

Thinking about signing this Mitsuki Sato? Would be interesting...

Also, good to see two Israeli teams in the Europa groups. Are coefficients more flexible with all the loaded leagues? How's Israel's?

I would've thought about it if he wasn't 30 years old.

Israel's nation coefficients are that they're ranked 28th between Austria and Bosnia & Herzegovina, in club coefficients they're ranked 22nd between Serbia & Poland and the top division in Israel is ranked 23rd in Europe between Serbia's top division and the Sky Bet Championship. I'd say things are more flexible, especially in European competition but the top 5 leagues are the same top 5 as at the start.

Good work, MN! With that game in hand, a league win is possible?!

It's definitely possible!

You can definitely make a strong title challenge.

I wasn't expecting it to be like this at the start of the season :D

My first piece of silverware at Lille is the Coupe de la Ligue :D It was a great win over AS Monaco, in the league we had a close to perfect month and with just 4 games to go we are just one point behind Monaco.

Monaco's title run-in:

20th - away

6th - home

10th - away

17th - home

Our run-in:

5th - away

20th - home

6th - away

10th - home

On paper we have the harder challenge.

The team knew what was up for grabs and they played their hearts out for 3 of the 4 games and just one more goal would have seen us hit triple figures, now we can look forward to next season where we'll be in the Champions League and hopefully can strengthen our defence! Also a little side note from earlier on this page with something I noticed. We had our feeder team DSV Leoben in our Europa League group which in itself is no big deal, the big deal is that they actually play in Fussball Regionalliga-Ost which is the 3rd tier of Austrian football! Turns out they won the Austrian Cup Final with a 3-0 win over Wacker Innsbruck!
