If they really wanted to kill a lot of people, they could have, seeing how many people are on public transport during rush hour. Also surprises me to read stories about people who were on the tube trains that were hit, makes you wonder if the bombs weren't really low profile in the end. The treatment of Middle Eastern countries that the West will sanction for economic gain alone is horrifying. It's understandable, if not right, that there are, as a result, a large number of very bitter people from those countries who feel driven to seek revenge. Without taking any particular moral standpoint, surely anyone can understand where this behaviour has come from? It only takes one person to not be 100% comfortable with that weird plastic bag flying around. It doesn't take a genius to see that if someone believes that their family and friends have been blown up for someone else's economic gain, they might think it acceptable to blow some people up in revenge. It's NOT RIGHT, but it's understandable. Going on a killing spree because you think your tax money is being wasted is not. Very obviously. b) They were not born evil. Their experiences and the ideas, right or not, that were impressed upon them, made them capable of evil behaviour. And it would be wrong to ignore where those factors came from, if we have a genuine interest in preventing it from happening in the future, rather than looking no further than a vengeful response of our own next time it does happen.
