S.Stoehr hasnt disappeared yet, I'm just giving some of the other guys some time in the team

April 20th: Southport v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (40/42)

We controlled the game from the start as we dominated the Southport team with ease. On the 25th minute we went into the lead as J.Scottlee of Hesselink rose highest to head home a Panpardus corner after A.Anymoredohnuts initial effort was well saved. Eight minutes later we had another chance with A.Anymoredohnuts firing towards goal from close range but the effort was well saved by the Southport keeper. With five minutes remaining in the half we doubled our lead as Panpardus hit an absolute screamer from the corner of the area that gave the Southport keeper no chance of saving.

Half Time Score 0-2

Just before the restart I made a couple of changes as C.de Bruijn and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for M.Kowalski and A.Anymoredohnuts. Three minutes into the half we went further into the lead as C.Fantu threaded the ball to the feet of Panpardus who hit home from close range. We were dominating the game and on the 59th minute we had yet another chance with A.Marks trying his luck from outside the area but the Southport keeper saved well. Seven minutes later we grabbed goal number four as S.Saville hit home from just inside the area after a threaded ball by Panpardus. On the 75th minute Southport pulled a goal back as S.Daly curled the ball past M.Wilson after the defence were caught alittle flat footed

Southport 1 S.Daly 75

Hardly Athletic 4 J.Scottlee of Hesselink 25, Panpardus 40, 48, S.Saville 66

Players: M.Wilson, B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski (45-C.de Bruijn), L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Panpardus, A.Marks, C.Fantu, S.Saville, J.Scottlee of Hesselink, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok)

Post Match Review: Well done lads. A brilliant performance as we never really gave the Southport team a sniff, well apart from the goal but I’m not going to dwell on that. The Man of the Match Award will be going to Panpardus who played an absolute stormer and capped his performance off with a couple of goals

April 24th: Workington v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square North (41/42)

We again started well and it wasn’t long till we had the first chance as S.Saville hit a powerful effort towards goal but his effort was blocked by the Workington defence. On the 18th minute we had another chance with D.O’Toole coming close but the effort wasn’t close enough as it went just wide of the post. On the 38th minute Workington came close with a well struck effort but G.Spavlachenko blocked the effort but seemed to twist badly, after a bit of treatment he carried on.

Half Time Score 0-0

The second half saw S.Stoehr and G.Bear coming on for G.Spavlachenko who was struggling with the first half injury and C.Fantu. The second half was much the same with us controlling a lot of the play and on the 58th minute we finally took the lead as G.Bear jinked his way through the Workington defence to fire past the keeper. Eleven minutes later we had another chance to score as S.Saville made his way past the Workington defence to fire towards goal but the keeper blocked the effort, unfortunately for us none of my strikers were anywhere to be seen and the Workington defence cleared the loose ball.

Workington 0

Hardly Athletic 1 G.Bear 58

Players: H.Chaha, G.Spavlachenko (45-S.Stoehr), M.Kowalski, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Panpardus, C.de Bruijn, C.Fantu (45-G.Bear), S.Saville, D.O’Toole, A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review:A good performance again as we controlled a lot of the play. However the victory came at a cost as we lost both G.Spavlachenko and C.Fantu to injury, G.Spavlachenko will be missing for around a month with a badly twisted knee and C.Fantu will be out for around two months with a twisted ankle meaning they will both be out for the remainder of the season. The Man of the Match Award will be going to L.Schnitzel who controlled the wing with ease and never really let Workington get close.

May 1st: Hardly Athletic v Gainsborough: Blue Square North (42/42)

The maths were pretty simple a draw will win us the Championship, however we can afford to lose if Blyth Spartans do not win against Eastwood Town. The players looked up this and on the 12th minute we had our first chance to score as D.O’Toole fired a powerful effort towards goal but his shot was diverted wide of the post by the defence. On the 21st minute we worked our way into the Gainsborough defence to fire towards goal but Panpardus’s effort was well saved by the keeper. Four minutes later we made the break through as D.O’Toole used his strength to get through the defence and wasted no time in firing under the onrushing Gainsborough keeper. It got even better as on the 35th minute we went into further into the lead with A.Anymoredohnuts slotting into an empty net after rounding the Gainsborough keeper.

Half Time Score 2-0

I made a couple of changes in the second half as G.Burgess and S.Stoehr came on for H.Chaha and G.Bear. We continued to dominate in the second half and on the 54th minute we had our first chance with S.Saville feeding the ball to the feet of S.Stoehr but his effort was pretty wild and it went wide of the post. Ten minutes later we had another chance as S.Stoehr fed the ballot the feet of D.O’Toole but his effort again went the wrong side of the post. Gainsborough just weren’t having anything of the ball and on the 79th minute we had the final chance of the game as S.Stoehr sprinted into the area and was brought down for a penalty, L.Schnitzel stepped up for the kick and fired it towards goal but the Gainsborough keeper guessed right and tipped the penalty round the post

Hardly Athletic 2 D.O’Toole 25, A.Anymoredohnuts 35

Gainsborough 0

Players: H.Chaha (45-G.Burgess), B.Arsenal, M.Kowalski, L.Schnitzel, T.Owens, Panpardus, C.de Bruijn, G.Bear (45- S.Stoehr), S.Saville, D.O’Toole, A.Anymoredohnuts

Post Match Review: Another class performance lads as we again controlled much of the game. We never really had to get out of second gear but did enough and because of the victory we have been crowned Blue Square North Champions. The Man of the Match Award was a close call between S.Stoehr and D.O’Toole, but it will be D.O’Toole who will be getting it due to the fact he scored… WELL DONE LADS

May 2nd: I gave the lads the day off training but told them we an important game on the 8th so don’t over do yourselves.

May 6th: Injury news sees S.Saville out for six days after getting food poisoning meaning he will miss the FA Trophy Final

May 8th: Hardly Athletic v Kettering: FA Trophy Final (Wembley)

So it is the biggest game in the clubs history as we faced Kettering at Wembley. Kettering began the slight better and on the 12th minute they had the first chance of the game with D.Spencer firing wide of the post after some poor defending by my team. On the 21st minute Kettering again came close with a long range effort by F.Green but G.Burgess saved well to deny them the chance. Nine minutes later we finally had our first chance as S.Stoehr crossed into the area for A.Anymoredohnuts to head towards goal but his effort was tipped over by A.Ralph, who landed awkwardly. On the 37th minute they first goal was scored as D.O’Toole ran into the area to slot home a C.de Bruijn cross after the Kettering defence failed to deal with the cross. A minute before the half time interval we grabbed a second goal as S.Stoehr showed some skill to beat J.Jennings in the area but his effort was blocked by A.Ralph but the ball went loose and D.O’Toole slotted home from two yards.

Half Time Score 2-0

The second half saw me make a couple of changes as Ishu and F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for A.Marks and A.Anymoredohnuts. Kettering also made a change as keeper L.Harper replaced A.Ralph who was struggling after his first half knock. Ten minutes into the half Kettering came close to pulling a goal back as J-Paul Marna fired towards goal but B.Arsenal put his body in the way and diverted the effort out for a corner, which was duly wasted by the Kettering team. On the 67th minute we came close to killing the game off as D.O’Toole jinked his way into the area to fire towards goal but his effort was cleared by M.Kowalski. On the 72nd minute Kettering made a couple changes with D.Thomas and A.Homes coming on for P.Noubissie and J.Jennings. Three minutes later I made my final change with G.Bear coming on Panpardus. With the game coming to a close Kettering had there final chance with D.Wrack threading a great ball between L.Schnitzel and M.Kowalski to the feet of D.Spencer but T.Owens reacted well and slid in to block the effort. Once the referee blew the final whistle the players and I celebrated on the pitch. I took a step back to watch as M.Kowalski stepped up and lifted the FA Trophy above his head to the roar of his team mates and the fans who were jumping around in jubilation

Hardly Athletic 2 D.O’Toole 37, 44

Kettering 0

Hardly Athletic: G.Burgess, B.Arsenal, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski, T.Owens, A.Marks (45-Ishu), C.de Bruijn, S.Stoehr, Panpardus (75-G.Bear), A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok), D.O’Toole

Kettering: A.Ralph (45-L.Harper), P.Noubissie (72-D.Thomas), J.Jennings (72-A.Homes), E.Geohaghan, J.Dempster, F.Green, N.Ashton, A.Boucaud, D.Wrack, D.Spencer, J-Paul Marna

Post Match Review: A very professional performance as we never really let Kettering into the game and when they did get into it we defended very well. A great way to end a very good season. The Man of the Match Award will be going to D.O’Toole who grabbed two goals and was a constant pain in the ass of the Kettering defence

May 18th: Injury news sees G.Spavlachenko returning to full training after his recent injury

Season Review 2009/10:

Goalkeepers:

Habte Chaha – GK: Apps 17 Goals 0 Conc 18 Ave.Rat 6.84

Shared his duties well with the other keepers, was prone to a couple of errors but made up for them with some great performances. Will be expecting more of the same next season

George Burgess – GK: Apps 21 (1) Goals 0 Conc 21 Ave.Rat 6.75

As with H.Chaha he played well when called upon, Averaged conceding a goal a game pretty much like the other keepers. Again I will be expecting more of the same next season.

Mark Wilson – GK: Apps 18 Goals 0 Conc 13 Ave.Rat 6.79

Did well this season but needs to be more consistent with his play. He managed to get into the Rep.Ireland U21’s. Keep it up

Defenders:

Terry Owens - SW, DC: Apps 46 Goals 8 Ave.Rat 7.13

Played brilliantly throughout the season and grabbed quite a few goals to boot. Worked had when needed too and I will be expecting you too keep this up throughout the forthcoming season

Supat Carl Goatsburg - D RLC: Apps 29 Goals 1 Ave.Rat 7.19

Another excellent display during the season, unfortunate with the injury towards the end of the season, hopefully you’ll come back a better player next season

Mike Kowalski - D RLC: Apps 30(3) Goals 1 Ave.Rat 6.98

Did well again during the season and rarely put a foot wrong, will be keeping the Captaincy next season. Will be looking for you to drive your team mates during the next season

Luca Schnitzel - D RLC: Apps 36 (1) Goals 2 Ave.Rat 6.93

Had a good season and was rewarded with a couple of good goals. Defence will be key next season so will be looking for you to up your game as with the other defenders

Ben Arsenal - D R: Apps 46 (2) Goals 2 Ave.Rat 6.99

Played brilliantly at Right Back and linked well with the wingers in front of him, grabbed a couple of goals aswell. Started to get noticed by the Singaporean National manager. Keep this up

Gavel Spavlachenko - D RL, M L: Apps 37 (4) Goals 0 Ave.Rat 7.07

Played well again throughout the season with his wing play, defended brilliantly and set up several goals. You just need to find the net

Midfielders:

Chris de Bruijn - WB/AM L: Apps 27 (2) Goals 4 Ave.Rat 7.06

Shared his duties with the rest of the midfielders and never really let the side down. Grabbed four goals and will be expecting more of the same next season

Steve Stoehr- DM, M C: Apps 24 (7) Goals 3 Ave.Rat 6.90

Played well when called upon, had a couple of niggling injuries but with those out the way will be pivotal in our campaign next season. Keep it up

Stuart Saville - DM, AM C: Apps 22 (8) Goals 8 Ave.Rat 7.17

Played brilliantly whenever called upon and his goals towards the end of season blip helped us to the Championship, will be looking to play you a lot more next season. Well done

Ashley Marks - M RLC: Apps 44 (2) Goals 12 Ave.Rat 7.14

The Vice Captain of the team and never let us down, played the majority of the games and scored plenty of goals to boot. Will be looking for you too the same next year

Marc Samedan - M R: Apps 17 (1) Goals 3 Ave.Rat 7.01

Didn’t play much at all during the season, but when you did you didn’t let the team down. Will look at giving you more game time next season

Ishu - AM R: Apps 26 (4) Goals 3 Ave.Rat 6.90

Good performances for the majority of the game, however does tend to have a few quiet games. Scored three goals which isn’t too bad, will be looking for a more consistent season

Chester Fantu - AM RC: Apps 23 (8) Goals 4 Ave.Rat 7.01

Another player who did well when called upon, I will be giving you a lot more time next season. Just keep up the hard work

Gennaro Bear - AM C: Apps 23 (5) Goals 2 Ave.Rat 6.86

Played well in the few games he did play. Needs to be alittle more accurate with the passing and will be looking to give you more game time

Panpardus - AM C: Apps 18 (10) Goals 5 Ave.Rat 6.96

Mainly used as a sub, but rarely moaned about his role, a good goal return of five for the season. Just keep it going

Attackers:

Arthur Anymoredohnuts - F C: Apps 31(13) Goals 16 Ave.Rat 6.80

Excellent season sees you with sixteen goals only beaten by D.O’Toole. Make sure you keep this up for next season and I’ll be a happy gaffer. Well done

Fling-Flong Tikle-Wok - F C: Apps 24 (11) Goals 6 Ave.Rat 6.78

Played well for the team, maybe didn’t score as many as he should of but when he did play was key to a lot of the goals the other got.

Danny O'Toole - F C: Apps 30 (10) Goals 26 Ave.Rat 7.08

Excellent first season to make him the clubs leading goal scorer. Averaging nearly a goal a game you cant go wrong. I want more of the same next season please

James Scottlee of Hesselink – ST: Apps 27 (6) Goals 6 Ave.Rat 6.67

Again played well for the team, like F.F.Tikle-Wok didn’t score as many as I would of liked. Will be looking for more goals next year

Gavel Spavlachenko - D RL, M L: Apps 37 (4) Goals 0 Ave.Rat 7.07

Played well again throughout the season with his wing play, defended brilliantly and set up several goals. You just need to find the net

The only outfield player not to find the net, according to your statistics above. :(

But we won the title, so yay instead. :)

Great work with this as usual, Mark.

August 7th: Barrow v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square Premier (1/46)

Our first game in the Blue Square Premier League and we got off to a great start with S.Stoehr running into the area to head home an A.Marks cross. On the 12th minute we had another chance as C.Fantu jinked his way past the Barrow defence but before he had the chance to shoot the Barrow keeper sprinted out and smothered the ball. Nine minutes later we had another chance with D.O’Toole firing in a powerful effort towards goal but the Barrow keeper again saved well. On the 26th minute we doubled our lead as D.O’Toole fed the ball to the feet of F.F.Tikle-Wok and fired past the keeper. Just before the break we had another chance with S.Stoehr again testing the keeper from distance but his effort was tipped over the crossbar.

Half Time Score 0-2

During the interval I made a couple of changes with Panpardus and A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for C.de Bruijn and D.O’Toole. We carried on our dominance into the half and on the 58th minute we had another chance with C.Fantu running onto a S.Stoehr throughball but his effort was again well saved by the Barrow keeper. On the 79th minute we had yet another chance with C.Fantu crossing in for A.Anymoredohnuts but his header went just wide of the post. With a minutes remaining in the game Barrow pulled a goal back as C.Willock fired in past G.Burgess who didn’t react quick enough.

Post Match Review: An excellent start to the season as we controlled all the game. If it wasn’t for the Barrow keeper we would have put up a cricket score. The Man of the Match Award will be going to S.Stoehr who ran the game from the midfield. A great start, WELL DONE LADS

August 10th: Hardly Athletic v Rushden: Blue Square Premier (2/46)

We started well again and on the 7th minute we went into the lead as C.de Bruijn jinked down the wing and fired in past the Rushden keeper who looked bewildered at the ball as it flew past him. Nine minutes later we had another chance with S.Stoehr firing towards goal from the edge of the area but the Rushden keeper reacted well and saved well from the effort. We were controlling the game with ease and on the 29th minute we had another chance as D.O’Toole came close with a simple header from a C.de Bruijn cross but his header went just wide of the post. Just before the break Rushden had there first chance of the game as a slip in defence by G.Spavlachenko saw there attack one on one with G.Burgess who stood firm and blocked the effort well

Half Time Score 1-0

At the start of the half I made a couple of changes with Panpardus and A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for C.Fantu and F.F.Tikle-Wok. On the 59th minute though Rushden had the first chance of the half with a well worked team move into the area but G.Burgess again reacted well and saved the ball. Ten minutes later Rushden again had another chance with a rasping effort but G.Spavlachenko blocked the effort to deny them the goal. On the 77th minute we grabbed our second goal as C.de Bruijn crossed in from the wing and D.O’Toole rose highest and headed in past the Rushden keeper. We had one last chance in the game as on the 89th minute C.de Bruijn hit a vicious cross across the goal mouth but luckily for Rushden none of my strikers managed to get to it and the ball went out

Hardly Athletic 2 C.de Bruijn 7, D.O’Toole 77

Post Match Review: Another three points as we again controlled a lot of the first half. Even though Rushden was the better team in the second half we defended brilliantly and soaked up any pressure. The Man of the Match Award will be going to C.de Bruijn who was a dominant force in the midfield

August 14th: York v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square Premier (3/46)

The games were coming thick and fast and we now faced one of the favourites to get promoted this season. We again started the better as we passed the ball a lot better than the York side and on the 12th minute we had our first real effort as S.Stoehr sprinted into the area and fired towards goal but his effort was well saved by the York keeper. Eight minutes later though we grabbed the lead in pretty sensational circumstances as F.F.Tikle-Wok received the ball from C.Fantu on the half way line and chipped the York keeper to send the away fans wild. However five minutes later we gave York the chance for an equaliser as L.Schnitzel slid in on the York attacker in the area and the referee adjudged it too be foul and duly awarded the penalty, R.Brodie stepped up for the kick and wasted no time in sending G.Burgess the wrong way too score. Soon after though we had another chance to grab the lead back as D.O’Toole used his strength to get through the York defence but his effort was diverted wide of the post by the keeper. On the stroke of half time we grabbed the lead back as A.Marks curled a great ball into the area and C.de Bruijn headed in past the York keeper.

Half Time Score 1-2

The second half started with S.Stoehr being replaced by Ishu. York were the better team in the second half as they upped the gears. On the 54th minute they had the chance to equalise as they broke clear of my defence with ease and fired towards goal but G.Burgess saved well. Ten minutes later they were at it again as my defence failed to deal with the simplest of balls but luckily for them G.Burgess reacted well and sprinted to smother the ball bravely at the feet of the York attacker. York were controlling the game with ease and on the 74th minute they had another chance with a long range effort which yet again our keeper managed to divert onto the crossbar. Three minutes later I made a change with A.Anymoredohnuts coming on for D.O’Toole. York carried on piling forward and on the 88th minute they had another chance with a great team move which split my defence apart with ease but yet again they had G.Burgess to thank who saved the day again

York 1 R.Brodie 25 pen

Hardly Athletic 2 F.F.Tikle-Wok 20, C.de Bruijn 45+1

Hardly Athletic: G.Burgess, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski, A.Marks, C.de Bruijn, S.Stoehr (45-Ishu), C.Fantu, D.O’Toole (77-A.Anymoredohnuts), F.F.Tikle-Wok

Post Match Review: The first half was brilliant as we dominated but what happened in the second half as we just seemed to get over run. Not good enough lads. The Man of the Match Award will be going to G.Burgess who kept us from losing the three points we had earnt so well in the first half

August 17th: Hardly Athletic v Tamworth: Blue Square Premier (4/46)

We never really got going at all in this game as all of the players looked jaded. Tamworth caused us a few problems though as they piled forward as much as they could. On the 37th minute they had the first chance of the game as they broke clear of the defence but G.Burgess again saved well. Just before the break they piled forward again but M.Kowalski reacted well to slide in a clear the ball.

Half Time Score 0-0

At the start of the half I made a change with S.Stoehr being replaced by S.Saville. The change though did little to up our game as Tamworth continued to control a lot of the play. On the hour they the chance take the lead as there attack piled into the area but M.Kowalski flung his body in the way of the shot. On the 66th minute I made another change as J.Scottlee of Hesselink came on for the ineffective A.Anymoredohnuts. Ten minutes later we finally had our first chance as F.F.Tikle-Wok fired towards goal from the edge of the area but his effort was easily saved by the Tamworth keeper.

Hardly Athletic 0

Post Match Review: A tired looking performance lads. You can have the day off tomorrow that’s all I can really do. The Man of the Match Award will be going to M.Kowalski who did well in defence to deny the Tamworth side

August 21st: Gateshead v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square Premier (5/46)

We started well and on the 9th minute we went into the lead as C.de Bruijn jinked in from the wing and fired past the Gateshead keeper with ease. Eight minutes later we had another chance with A.Anymoredohnuts coming close from just inside the area after another great run but his effort rattled the upright after beating the keeper. On the 25th minute the next goal was scored as Gateshead countered one of our attacks and G.Armstrong finish with a fine effort past G.Burgess. Just after the half hour we had another chance at goal as C.Fantu curled the ball into the area but C.de Bruijn managed to head past the post when he really should of scored.

Half Time Score 1-1

I made a couple of changes to the team at the start of the half as Panpardus and J.Scottlee of Hesselink came on for A.Marks and F.F.Tikle-Wok. However two minutes into the half we went a goal down as W.Phillips ran past L.Schnitzel with ease and fired the ball past G.Burgess. On the 50th minute though we grabbed the equaliser with M.Kowalski headed in a C.de Bruijn corner after J.Scottlee of Hesselink’s initial effort was well saved. Eleven minutes later we had another chance with J.Scottlee of Hesselink coming close from just outside the area after the Gateshead defence failed to deal with his run. On the 75th minute the winning goal was scored as an error in midfield by Panpardus saw the Gateshead attack grab the goal with S.Richardson firing past the keeper.

Gateshead 3 G.Armstrong 25, W.Phillips 47, S.Richardson 75

Hardly Athletic 2 C.de Bruijn 9, M.Kowalski 50

Players: G.Burgess, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski, A.Marks (45-Panpardus), C.de Bruijn, S.Stoehr, C.Fantu, A.Anymoredohnuts, F.F.Tikle-Wok (45-J.Scottlee of Hesselink)

Post Match Review: An entertaining game for the fans but unfortunately for us we lost. I cant complain about the performance though. The Man of the Match Award will be going to C.de Bruijn who controlled the midfield

August 28th: Hardly Athletic v Grays: Blue Square Premier (6/46)

Another good game for the fans and on the 7th minute we had our first chance as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in from close range but the Grays keeper saved well. Nine minutes later though Grays grabbed the lead as L.McEvilly jinked his way into the area and fired past H.Chaha with real ease. On the 20th minute we grabbed the equaliser as Panpardus threaded the ball into the path of J.Scottlee of Hesselink to slide the ball under the keeper. On the 38th minute Grays had another chance to score as there attack piled into the area but G.Spavlachenko slid in and cleared the ball.

Half Time Score 1-1

The second started with T.Owens and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for M.Kowalski and A.Anymoredohnuts. Eight minutes into the half Grays managed to take the lead as L.McEvilly again beat my defence with ease and fired past H.Chaha. After the goal my players upped the gears and started to pile forward alittle more and on the 63rd minute they had the chance of the equaliser as J.Scottlee of Hesselink fired towards goal but his effort was brilliantly saved by the Grays keeper. Seven minutes later we had yet another chance with G.Bear playing a one two with J.Scottlee of Hesselink but his effort was pretty poor and ball went wide of the post. With four minutes remaining in the game we grabbed the equaliser we deserved as F.F.Tikle-Wok ran past his marker and fired the ball under the body of the Grays keeper.

Hardly Athletic 2 J.Scottlee of Hesselink 20, F.F.Tikle-Wok 86

Grays 2 L.McEvilly 16, 53

Post Match Review: Another entertaining game for the fans with both teams going for it. The second half belonged to us and we probably should of grabbed a few more. The Man of the Match Award will be going to J.Scottlee of Hesselink who was dominating up front

September 11th: Hardly Athletic v Southport: Blue Square Premier (7/46)

The game started with a bang as on the 2nd minute Southport grabbed the lead as R.Bull barged his way past my defence to fire under H.Chaha. Six minutes later though we grabbed the equaliser as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in past the keeper with ease. On the 19th minute we had another chance to score as J.Scottlee of Hesselink headed past the Southport keeper but the ball was cleared off the line. Just after the half hour Southport had the chance to take the lead as they broke clear of my defence with alittle bit too much ease and fired towards goal but H.Chaha reacted well to save the ball. On the 43rd minute Southport had another chance with a great team move which saw S.Carl Goatsburg saving well with a well timed sliding tackle.

Half Time Score 1-1

We started the second half the better and on the 53rd minute we had our next chance as A.Anymoredohnuts fired in from close range but the Southport keeper saved well with ease. Nine minutes later Southport had the chance to grab another goal but the attackers effort was blocked by S.Carl Goatsburg who had to have some treatment afterwards. Straight after the effort I made a couple of changes as S.Stoehr and F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for Panpardus and J.Scottlee of Hesselink. There was one more goal in the game as deep into injury time S.Stoehr hit a wonderous effort past the Southport keeper from just outside the area to give us all three points

September 15th: Chelmsford v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square Premier (8/46)

We started well and on the 13th minute we went into the lead as A.Anymoredohnuts sprinted onto a Panpardus throughball and fired past the Chelmsford keeper. It got even better five minutes later as D.O’Toole fired towards goal but his effort was diverted past the keeper by B.Martin for an own goal. We were controlling the game with ease and on the 32nd minute we grabbed another goal as M.Kowalski headed in a C.de Bruijn corner after D.O’Toole’s initial effort was well saved. Four minutes later though Chelmsford counter attacked us and T.Mooney fired in under H.Chaha. However there joy was short lived as on the 37th minute we grabbed another goal as D.O’Toole fired in from close range. On the stroke of half time we grabbed another goal as D.O’Toole ran past his marker to fire in past the Chelmsford keeper.

Half Time Score 1-5

I made one change during the half time interval as S.Stoehr came on for Panpardus. We again controlled much of the half and on the 53rd minute we had another chance as A.Marks crossed into the area for D.O’Toole to head wide of the post. Four minutes later I made a couple of change as T.Owens and F.F.Tikle-Wok came on for M.Kowalski and D.O’Toole. On the 73rd minute the next goal went in as Chelmsford piled forward and S.Lee fired in past H.Chaha with ease. However with eight minutes remaining we added a sixth goal as L.Schnitzel sprinted in from the wing and curled the ball past the Chelmsford keepers outstretched arms

September 18th: Crawley v Hardly Athletic: Blue Square Premier (9/46)

After the great performance in the last game I told the players I wanted more of the same. We started well and on the 8th minute we had the first chance as A.Marks curled the ball into the area but D.O’Toole failed to connect with the header properly and the ball went wide of the post. Six minutes layer we had another chance with D.O’Toole running onto a G.Spavlachenko throughball but his effort was ell saved by the Crawley keeper. However on the 25th minute we seriously let ourselves down as a backpass by L.Schnitzel was under hit and J.dos Santos intercepted it and fired past H.Chaha. Six minutes later we should of grabbed the equaliser as G.Spavlachenko sprinted down the wing and crossed into the area but A.Anymoredohnuts somehow managed to head the ball wide of the post.

Half Time Score 1-0

I made three changes to the team at the start of the half with T.Owens, S.Stoehr and F.F.Tikle-Wok coming on for M.Kowalski, C.de Bruijn and A.Anymoredohnuts. We started the half well and on the 51st minute we had another chance to score as D.O’Toole played a swift one two with Panpardus and fired towards goal but the Crawley keeper again reacted well and saved the effort. On the 69th minute we finally grabbed the equaliser we deserved as F.F.Tikle-Wok bravely headed in a G.Spavlachenko cross past the keeper. After the goal F.F.Tikle-Wok needed some treatment but after a couple of minutes he was ready to come back. On the 77th minute though we again shot ourselves in the foot as another mix up between H.Chaha and L.Schnitzel resulted in B.Napper rounding the keeper and firing in what turned out to be the winning goal

Crawley 2 J.dos Santos 25, B.Napper 77

Hardly Athletic 1 F.F.Tikle-Wok 69

Players: H.Chaha, S.Carl Goatsburg, G.Spavlachenko, L.Schnitzel, M.Kowalski (45-T.Owens), M.Samedan, C.de Bruijn (45-S.Stoehr), Panpardus, A.Marks, A.Anymoredohnuts (45-F.F.Tikle-Wok), D.O’Toole

Post Match Review: We really deserved more from this game and should of grabbed all three points. However the defensive areas really let the team down. The Man of the Match Award will be going to G.Spavlachenko who kept the Crawley wing backs busy all day.
