Editing xml's directly is just another way of editing your game. In general, there are 6 ways to edit your game: * Use the official editor in the normal way * Use the official editor with the advanced panel * Edit xml files directly * Use a 3rd party pre-game editor * Use a 3rd party savegame editor * Create ddt, edt and lnc files for the game to load Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You have to download and extract it to the editor/data directory. It will replaces the "format" folder with a new one. The format.xml file contains the code for the advanced panel, but it's been placed outside of the File system, so you just need to put it in. It will come up as List if you do it this way (but you can rename List to Advanced Panel). My file includes so many amendments to the format folder files that so much has been activated (rankings, cup fates etc) and most of these are vital, and the game won't work without them. The instructions set should be sufficient. I used them and it activated my system. Make sure the default folder winrar tries to extract the files to is the format folder. It's not just the one file that Steven posted - that was the format.xml file, and he got rid of the file section, I've kept it and added Advanced Panel below it. I haven't had the time to update it since last time, which was to set up nation rules. I will try and update it soon, I'll be doing an example of a league as the first competition, then I will try and do a league with playoffs. After that I'll show how to do cups. I made the Danish Cup more like reality, but I can't select the changes in FM though. It isn't listed when I am starting a new game. I can see other xml-files from the editor data-folder though? Would anyone mind testing it in their game? I can open it with the editor, and it shows the changes under "Advanced Rules". It can have 4 rounds, from 1st to 4th qualifying round. The second is the group stage, with double round robin system ('group' in the editor).
