Bohemians Report

Finished 2nd in the league - http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8564/bohemiansleaguezd7.jpg

Winners of the League Cup - http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4931/bohemiansleaguecupbd4.jpg

Annoyingly missed out on the easy points in the Challenge Cup by getting knocked out in the 3rd round.

Managed to get a guy called Stephen Ward in July on loan from Wolves and was inspirational, scoring 12 goals in 16 appearances. Had I had him all season I think we would have won everything.

Anyway, by my calculations that's 30 points :D

Not sure if I'll be doing the next challenge as I'm away from next week for a while but if it's a good'un I'll get it done in the next couple of days.

Week 6 - Make The Greatest Team In The World Win Euro 2008

Okay, so maybe a bit of a biased title from me there, but I couldn't resist.

Step 1 - Load only the Northern Irish and Brazillian League

Step 2 - Start with Brazil, DEC 2006.

Step 3 - Your challenge is to get Northern Ireland to Euro 2008, and then Compete!

20 points - Win Euro 2008

18 points - Euro 2008 Runners-Up

16 Points - Semi Finals of Euro 2008

12 Points - Quarter Finals of Euro 2008

10 Points - 3rd in Group Stage (Finals)

10 Points - Make David Healy top scorer in the Qualifying stage

10 Points - Make David Healy top scorer in the Euro 2008 finals

8 Points - 4th in Group Stage (Finals)

6 Points - Finish 3rd in Qualifying Group

4 Points - Finish 4th in Qualifying Group

2 Points - Finish 5th in Qualifying Group

1 Points - Finish 6th or 7th in Qualifying Group

Screenies required of Qualfying Table, then each Phase afterwards, EG Finish Finals table, Quarter Finals, Semi and Final. And of the Top scorers if you achieve the David Healy challenges.

Good Luck

I chose to start it a bit early just incase I am asleep before midnight.

I don't understand your scoring methods, shouldnt the Healy challenges have been made bonuses and then like in the Scotland one just give points for finishes. Seem a little over complicated, maybe its just me.

I thought they are bonuses. Say Healy was top scorer in qualifiers and finals and you won Euro 2008 then that is 40 points you get. That is how I see it.

Northern Ireland Challenge

Okay so i just completed this and must say it was one of the best aswell as being one of the worst challenges i've taken part in. The main reason being i was pushed into 3rd by counterparts Spain on the final game.

Liechtenstein 1-8 Northern Ireland

The first game wasn't really a test of anything, although it gave David Healy a headstart in the top scorer race with a sensational 5 goals, the opposition were very weak and seemed to go to bed early. Gave me a chance to test tactics and i believe i worked out the kinks of the original and created something that seemed dominant, all based around Healy.

Northern Ireland 5-2 Sweden

So onto the second game, and using the 'dominant' tactic from the first game seemed to be nothing but a mear fluke tactic as the Swede's took the lead after 3 minutes with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, Healy had something to say about that and he equalized just 3 minutes later, after that my team slipped into cruise control as we hit the next 3, two of which completed Healy's second successive hat-trick to make it 4-1, Elmander made it 4-2 before the break. At half time i just told the lads to hit the swedish hard from the off, and they did, well Healy did anyway as he scored his forth just minutes after the restart. 5-2, and that's the way it stayed.

Northern Ireland 3-2 Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein again, and this time a game i took for granted, 3 points in the bag i thought to myself, and for the most part i was right. Healy and Craigan putting us 2-0 up at the break, not quite as impressive as game 1, but impressive non-the less. Second half i think i put my players minds to bed, although we did score first, which didn't seem hard at the time, Kyle Lafferty this time the scorer, having recieved a pass from Healy who was clean through anyway, i was disgusted with Healy's decision to pass, naturally. But then, out of absolouty nowhere, Liechtenstein saw an oppourtunity, it was in injury time however, and they were 3-0 down, but two goals in two minutes made it 3-2, and if that penalty had gone in earlier on, we may just have gone home blushing.

Latvia 0-2 Northern Ireland

Next game, boring away tie with Latvia, it was a bore fest, but i was glad to take the 3 points Healy and Shiels the scorers.

Iceland 0-1 Northern Ireland

Iceland. (see above). Took the lead after 4 thanks to Healy again, and that's the way it stayed. 5 wins in a row, surely that's a record of some sort?

Sweden 3-1 Northern Ireland

Sweden next, again. This time away, and i just knew we wern't going to have it our way again, and how right i was. They went 2-0 up early, Lafferty grabbed a goal back, but when Rosenberg scored their third we were never going to get anything.

Northern Ireland 4-1 Denmark

A massive game, i knew we had to win this, with Spain to play next, winning this would mean a draw would do, and that i believed at the time was possible. What a display, a Denmark team that has bags of class just outplayed by us. A Healy brace to a classy Bendtner goal put us 2-1 up at the break. At which point for the first time the entire tournament i changed things around, playing with 5 at the back we say back and defended with Counter Attack on, it payed off in the last few minutes when Denmark threw the kitchen sink at me, we broke twice with Shiels and Lafferty securing 3 points.

Spain 1-0 Northern Ireland

Never thought i'd get into this Spain game with a hope in hell, but with everything that went before i just knew we stood a chance, second in the group before the game i knew we deserved to be their, apparently i was wrong. We managed to keep it tight for an hour, until disastar struck, the oh so dependant Craigan misplacing a backpass putting Villa through to score what turned out to be the winner, game over. Northern Ireland will have to wait another 2 years if they want to play at a major final.

David Healy - Top Scorer

Final Qualafying Table

16 Points for that challenge then with Healy finishing top scorer, and so ill wait another week in eager anticipation of another, hopefully longer challenge.

I started and finished the qualifying campaign yesterday, we somehow managed to qualify for the tournament, beating Spain on the 'head to head' rule. Healy didn't actually score until the 3rd from last game, so I didn't get any points for that. Been drawn into a tough group with Croatia, Portugal and Italy.

Another british challenge... Well, I just have to try this and see how this will go.

Started the season pretty well, but unfortunately van der Sar has just been injured and is out for 3-4 months. I hope that Kuszczak can replace him for that period.

Was drawn in a pretty easy Champ. League group with Lyon, Anderlect and Steaua.

The overall standing in table the looks good for me. Long way to finish all 20 challenges though, but quite satisfied with the shared lead with Neville46:) This weeks challenge could mean a drop to 2nd place, due to the many points in play...we'll see. Good luck to everybody
