Thought he was well known? He's such an obvious candidate alongside Santon as a young RB. I have both at Q.P.R. But I got Santon first so he progressed much more and has a first team place. Mazzarani hasn't progressed much but is a good backup and hopefully will compete with Santon soon. I've concentrated on his defensive stats though as he is rubbish as a winger. He's not fast like Santon and he can't dribble. You might as well play Santon as a winger instead. He's ok there.

I thought he was pretty well known also, become very very good.

And i agree with Evon, Mazzarani doesnt play as well down the wing, as for United, i have Santon playing first team football at right back, with Mazzarani on loan as he isn't quite good enough at the start, but soon as he is, Mazzarani and Santon will rotate the RB place.

I signed him in the 2nd season with sunderland and withen a Season Man city came knocking with 15 mil , I sold him only to watch AC milan buy him for 30+ in one or two seasons. And when he was with me I played him at RB and he had the best AVG in my team.

I've always seen him as the second best young Italian who's natural all the way down the right.

Santon is slightly cheaper at the start, and a better player imo.

In Mazzarani's defence, every save I play and don't sign him he ends up with a value >25m

I've found Mazzarani to be cheaper, I usually can get him for around £575k, while Santon usally costs me £1m or more.

Wow, I've always had to pay at least 2-2.5m for him. I always bid 975k for Santon, and Inter always accept. Quite a few people have posted saying that Mazza's cheaper, so maybe it's just me...

Mazzarini is pure class. Play him as rb in my Juve team and he has a average of 7.34 atm. Starter for the Italy team.

Got him for 13 million pounds at the age of 21.

about his pace, at 22 pace is 15 and acceleration is 16.

Guys I'm Man Utd, coming to the end of my first season. In January 09 I bought Santon for £3.5m, and paid £8m for Mazzarani. I also have Cesar Azpilicueta as my first choice RB. Obviously Santon and Mazzarani are both natural right down the right flank, so was thinking one could end up competing with Ronaldo at AMR, and the other with Azpilicueta at RB.

Is it more beneficial to send both Santon and Mazzarani out to play first team football for the 09/10 season or should I keep them playing Cup games and a few other appearances a season? I have Miguel Torres as back up to Azpilicueta, and Obasi as back up to Ronaldo, so can afford to send them both out on loan next season. I sent Mazzarani straight out on loan to Hearts for the second half of the season, but Santon is currently my back up to Ronaldo as Obasi is injured.

In my save, Mazzarani is easily one of the top RBs in the world, just three years in. I'm kicking myself for not giving him the 60k per week that he wanted before he re-signed with Milan. Here's what he looks like in 2012:

If he's not going to get 20+ games a season I'd put him out on loan. Although it's better if you keep him and train him yourself but if you can't give him enough games then a loan option is the best.

I doubt any of them could ever compete with Ronaldo. Tbh it depends on how good they all are. As far as I remember Azpilicueta or whatever isn't that much better than them. One of them could easily compete with him for the RB spot. Post screenies of the 3 of them. But if they really can't compete with Aziwhatshisname then only send them out on loan to a good team in a good league where they'll be guaranteed a first team place. Otherwise being trained under you would be far better than AI teams. Especially with Man Utd's quality of training facilities. And also both of them are far better than Torres. And where's Rafael ffs?

Rafael has been out on loan at Hearts mate, but doesn't seem to be anywhere near as good as Azpilicueta, Santon or Mazzarani. Here are the screenshots;

Santon

Looking at it now, Mazzarani has some serious developing to do, so I hope I can get him a good loan move somewhere next season. Azpilicueta is my first choice right back, and is already a leading star for Premiership sides, and will only get better. If Santons defensive attributes were better, I would have him as back up to Azpilicueta, but they're simply not, and I have Obasi as back up to Ronaldo.

Santon and Mazzarani are rubbish. But I improved them both through loads of first team football in Santon's case and tutoring and cup games in Mazzarani's case. But Santon you should keep and play him as often as possible. Mazzarani you should get tutored because his determination is pathetic. If it wasn't for that I'd say loan him out but he really needs tutoring to get his determination and other mental stats up. I've no idea how his determination could have got that low tbh.

Also you should really have them on specialised training schedules. That's what I did as well. Santon's got 16 tackling on my game which should give you an idea of how much first team football has helped. But I played him as my first choice for 3 years straight and had a specialised training schedule and brilliant training facilities.

I do have specialised training schedueles for each position in my squad, and I've only had Mazzarani and Santon for 3 weeks as I signed them in January. Thanks for all the advice though mate, I'll bear it in mind. Azpilicueta is my first choice, and has been very good considering he is still nowhere near to being fully developed. I'll give Santon as many games as possible between now and the end of the season, and I sent Mazzarani on loan to Hearts until the end of the season, but I'll decide over the summer what to do with them both.

Do you not think a good loan move for Santon would be more beneficial next season? If he goes to a good side, and plays regularly, will that not be better than playing around 15 games a season for me?

Not particularly. Playing regularly at another team would only really be beneficial for his consistency and important matches attributes. Even if it was another Top 4 team he still wouldn't get as good training as he would under you as you are a human manager so the training is always better. For some reason. Unless your training schedules are Tug's training schedules or something. Then I doubt he'd get much better defensively. I'll try and post screenshots of both Santon and Mazzarani.

This is Mazzarani on my game:

As you can see, not brilliant but I've only had him for a year and he's not played much at all. But there has been some improvement in key areas. Tutoring :)

And this is Santon:

Oh yeah. He rules. I've no idea how he got that good tbh. But I am on 9.02 so the coaching system is different so I have 7 star coaching all round and brilliant facilities. But still.

Pretty sure I read that the coaching system hasn't changed, but how it's displayed has, so prior to latest patch, some catagories were shown as 7 star when they weren't.

No it's definitely changed in that the attributes required for coaches to get 7 star coaching are different. They include determination, discipline and motivating. Unless they did that in 9.02...either way I'm on the other training system thingy.

In all my games, I have found Santon a better prospect, although Mazzarani is a decent back up. In my first game, I had Santon for a season, and sold him for 25m to Everton, and signed Mazzarani, who I then sold to Inter at the end of the second for 35m :D making me a profit of about 55m in 2 seasons. As long as either get first team games and a decent training schedule, they both become good rbs in my opinion.

  • 1 month later...

I signed him in a few games as he signs for lower reputation teams and he usually did a decent job. Made the mistake to sell him in my current one tough, thought my right midfielder keeps playing on his high level a bit longer than he did :)

I bought him 2 years ago and he's still rubbish. Bad mentally. Can't adapt to the dutch lifestyle and not progressing. My training scheme works very well with other players. He also rejects all loan offers from other clubs. He won't make it at my team!
