Zinn
It's an old goalkeeper trick. And also one that is used by opposing strikers during corners, although they obviously knock the goal wider instead (explains why you have a guy at front and back post ). I don't know why they don't secure their goal posts to the ground in Sweden but that is likely the exact reason why the rest of us do it. It's an epic trick, though
jayahr
How has he managed that? goalposts are inserted into the ground, not exactly easy to push together. My thoughts exactly. It must be absolutely impossible. We are not playing with school bags as posts in professional football...
108
Another trick used is to make the footballl bigger. Some goalkeepers carry a football pump in their pockets, and they inflate the ball everytime they catch it. The bigger the ball, the easier it is to save. They are not inserted into the ground in Sweden, where the keeper plays (at least not everywhere, anyway). And a football goal is very light, so knocking the posts wider or shorter is pretty easy without a mechanism to keep them in place
pn75
ha ha - bet a few Newcaste fans wish harper had done that for them last season!

It would bend, noticeably, if you pushed thme in, as well.
