Someone I know changed Joseph Yobo's middle names on Wikipedia to something daft, and it appeared as fact in a newspaper in the preview of the FA Cup final. Moral is - researchers suck. AcidBurn
Why would anyone know Ronaldinho's birthplace? Surely people know their favoured players city or town of birth. I noticed Rodwell has Brazilian as a second nationality aswell.

LeoVieira
Maybe this could be posted on Everton's thread on the data issues forum, if it's really true that he has brazilian second nationality the Everton researcher would explain why is it.
kkas
well if you look at him in real life he does look a bit brazilian so maybe he has a grandparent from brazil

SCIAG
I read something on this a while ago.His father is Brazilian and played for a 2nd division Spanish club. Malcolm Rodwell is Brazilian?
Avelives
I googled it and found nothing to confirm the truth in this, in fact the only mentions of jack rodwell being brazilian are in relation to his FM listing and questioning its validity.
SI Staff Blue Lou Posted June 7, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted June 7, 2009 It's down to Rodwell himself, one of the posters above touched upon it. When he was relatively unknown he apparently told people he was of Brazilian descent and a few websites reported it (some had him down as being born in Sao Paulo and others had it down as Port Alegre) and it was mentioned during the Victory Shield coverage. When the official Everton site put his profile up, it says he was born in Birkdale and the websites since updated the status.

Blinkenlights Faxlore
Hang on. Perhaps a researcher misunderstood Rodwell as saying he was Brazilian, when actually he had simply had a Brazilian? I dunno...
