Any set piece will have transitions, so I do not pay much attention to the goals scored from corners, but the overall tactic performance.

IThis is from last year with regard to training

PRE-SEASON

general training -TEAM COHESION HIGH

scheduling 50% (no rest before-no rest after match)

match preparation = MATCH TACTICS

before the 1st game of the season

general training -BALANCE AVERAGE

(no rest before -REST after match)

keep 50% match preparation MATCH TACTICS until 100% fluid,

after that the training should be like this

general training BALANCE AVERAGE

(no rest before- REST after match)

10 or 20 % ( i prefer 10%) match preparation (whatever you like, it depends from the opponent - except match tactics and teamwork , its pointless to use these because when you have 100% fluid your players have good understanding)

this till the end of the season , of course if you buy some players in January you drop the familiarity and you must again adjust the scheduling to 50% and match tactics

Obrigado!

Hi Knap,

You mentioned in one of your threads about switching to a 4-2-2-1 if you get a red card.

Would you be able to upload a 4-2-2-2 version of this tactic that could be used by removing one of the strikers?

I'm sure this will help a lot of us amateur tactic users when going down to ten men.

Cheers

Maybe you've already answer this, KNAP;

What should I be looking for when deciding whos playing in the WM in midfield? Should they be hard workers? Good crossers? Should they cut inside? Shouldnt they? Good defensivley?

I prefer good quality players probably best can play MR and AMR. Pace is useful but they are attacking players so defensive duties are not high on list

I have recreated the Volante/Anchor variant (my favourite) in FM19 and I'm happy to report it works as good as always. Expected 12th, managed an easy promotion. No transfers. Only thing not working are defending set pieces - had to switch to deafult as I was losing a lot of goals from corners.

If you can copy the instructions into FM 19, then send me tactic, I can try tweaking to work on my test game.

If anyone wants a particular FM 18 tactic then this would be quickest way to set it up in FM 19.

The anchor never tested that well but as a White Europe tweaked tactic suited to underdogs. I may try changing anchor role for testing.

The MU tactic works well but I have  now changed the corner set up.

Out of all your 442 tactics in FM18, volante/anchor always worked best for me - but yes, I'm always an underdog. I tried Mezalla and flat 442 versions in FM19 but they didn't worked as well. Can't wait to see what you'll cook up this year.

All AM - I use AM for Press Team talks. I used AM for Billericay for back to back promotions to PL FM 18), so not an issue for lower clubs, even with less able staff. Just switched to FMT for less bloat.

yeah i reckon that too! :D just loved that tactic and ofc your midsomer,

they are legendery tactics for us  4-4-2 lovers :D

i really dont know how to convert the tactics from fm 18 into fm 19 this year with the new tactical setup :P

have u tested your midsomer 103p tactic this year yet? :P

Volante was based on MIDSOMER so a very similar set up to the Sicilian defence. The Volante is a more attacking tactic, but White Europe tweak with the Anchor made it more defensive, and more similar to the Sicilian defence.

I will tweak MIDSOMER from the Volante tactics.
