A busy, busy month of May but look at that! We only conceded 2 goals and the draw at home to SC Bafata means we're 2 points clear at the top of the table! What a turn around this could become!

League and Cup double! I would not have expected this mid-way through the season! I am definitely leaving Guinea Bissau on a high! Hopefully with my reputation growing ever so slightly I can now get a job in one of the top 15 leagues, or even top 20.

We have a decent squad, we have better facilities and we have a very young squad. I can see myself being here for a while.

Great choice! At least you're finally getting paid decent money (compared to before).

Rolling in money! :D

If you traveled to Zambia by road it would be quite the trip!

Phiri looks good :D

We would have to go through 11 or 12 countries I think. And he does..but :(

A great start! We narrowly lost to Green Buffaloes in the final of the Charity Shield and they're also the only team above us in the league, they also haven't conceded at all.

Another straightforward month where we're pretty much the 3rd best team in the country, we're also against Lusaka Dynamos in the Semi Final of the cup.

Claude's a new signing and was offered by his agent and he could easily be the best midfielder here.

2 more transfers, since I'm not using the player search I just looked at the other clients that Claude's agent had and these 2 wanted to join us with reasonable wage demands :D

You're doing great Makoto, maybe you can have a crack at the African Champions league in the upcoming seasons with Zanaco

That's the plan!

Excellent read as always.

Can you describe the role of the DoF and the HOYD regarding transfers and contract handling? What exactly is left for you to do?

All I do is finalise the signings, if I don't think a person they've tried to sign is good enough or if they've way overpaid for him then I'll cancel the transfer, I also set the scouting assignments as well as now looking at the agents who are coming to me. (I mainly press continue though)

Love this journeyman idea. I'm not doing a journeyman but am managing in a poor league in Africa in Seychelles. I went with one of the teams expected to finish near the bottom and i'm finding it ridiculously difficult to pick up a win when your players and the players available to sign are that bad

Chulu looks like he could play now, why is he not up in the first team?

Because even though he has potential, he's the 8th best striker at the club currently.

Holy... you're firing through here, @Makoto Nakamura!

Good to see some succes and a great move to Zambia!

Glad to be able to play again, hopefully we can get closer to dominating Zambia eventually.

Seychelles aren't exactly a hotbed of talent! :D Some of the best players in the league have excellent names though:

Well we're not going through.

Ouch. Tough draw.

Might be a bridesmaid again, but you've moved from being the second to the first bridesmaid at least.

We did a lot better than I thought in the Confederation Cup losing 6-2 on aggregate, at least we aren't from Mauritius.

So 2nd again? The Zesco job actually became available and I applied, and I had an interview, but instead they hired someone with an 18% win rate in his 32 game managerial career.

It was, but we weren't too embarrassing, and yes I guess we should look at the positives here :D
