  1. Don't think the FML failed because of the subscription model itself. I think more of the nature of the multiplayer aspect of it, killed FML. But hey never played it, so don't fully know the interquencies of FML. Just the honest opinion of someone that saw it from the outside.
  2. It is a model that works for SI. The record-breaking sells of FM23, before any announcements were made, when pre-sales of FM23 started back in September or October (don't quite remember which), it confirms it is success model for them. Trust me, when I say if this model wasn't working for them, SI team would have change to a new model.
  3. The negative part of a subscription isn't paying monthly, you are just paying for one company, Multiple companies mean multiple subscription payments. Stacking up, at the end of the month you have quite a hefty bill to pay.
  4. I'm not entirely against a subscription base model, but a few things needed to change in terms of the editor. Every time SI adds new teams the database, it changes the teams you created on the editor. Meaning you have to adjust your kits and logo files, every time someone updated them. Large databases can be problematic. A patch is simply a chance to make a workable edit file not working. But if you see how Adobe subscription base works, they don't constantly update their same programs. Each year there is a release of a new program with new features and changes. That is why Photoshop, for example, the 2023 version is released, it is a new program, where it uninstalls the 2022 version or older. It is basically what we have now, the difference instead of paying SI 50 pounds/euros every October/November, you pay around 5 to 10 pounds/euros every month. So internally SI, won't change its process. But it would drastically change how their finances work, perhaps that is something SI unwillingly want to do.
  5. I was wondering, how much heavy and slow in terms of processing speed is this file on today's average computer? From my calculations a level 10 is over700 clubs in total included in this file.
  6. okay, thanks. If remains the same, after the winter update, I will come back and remind you good people.
  7. This remain unchanged. I have Version: 23.2.2+1785462
  8. Nice. Thanks for the info. What about Texas? In case you can't decide on the North America map, get some dice and roll it. Let chance decide who wins the region, between two warring nations. it may create some frontiers that you never thought.
  9. Can wait for the next episode of this history. For the USA, are you incorporating First Nations into it, or will they have territories of their own? Like Cherokee or Navajo? Is California its own nation. Like in the movie The Mask of Zorro, where the Montero reveals the plans to buy California from Mexico and forming the Republic of California. Maybe it happen in your version of history. But will the states or Republic of California control Baja California peninsula. Curious to see.
  10. Not sure if this been asked. I'm thinking doing a Lowe management a sort of park to premier league, using Lionnel Messi wonderful database, by picking a team from Level 10. What would be recommended setup?
  11. Check krlenjushka generator! It maybe the thing you're looking for. The thread is in Editors Hideaway
  12. Good Evening The following cities in the database don't have Local Region set: 2000059854 - Nutley (NJ) 2000088634 - Mercer County (NJ) 2000052269 - San Juan Capistrano (CA) 2000087324 - Waller (WA) Thanks Grade
  13. Why not make a second version, where the World Cup is every year. Make available both versions.
  14. Will this happen, if the Champions League is recreated from scratch? Or if using a file like Dallan's World Champions League?
  15. Confirm if the unique IDs (UIDs) of the faces, logo and kits are the same. Its likely its not, since anything created in FM22 editor, won't have the same UIDs, when you create in FM23 Editor. In your case, the transfer from FM22 to FM23 will change the UIDs. If your not the same you have to input the new UIDs on the config files of each graphics folder (when I say each, I say the folder for Kits, the folder for faces and the folder for logos). Hope that helps
  16. It seems Miles is going to be at the Apple Store in Regent Street at 6:30pm today for Q&A of FM Touch and Arcade. Too bad, it was such short notice. The tweet was posted only 2 hours ago. Good opportunity to ask him about Stadium editor and downgrade in graphics since FM17.
  17. I saw this in Tweets links in this forum. So, anyone living in London and is attending this, golden opportunity to make the questions anyone asks here in the forums and no one at SI answer.
  18. Then the few should have been fined or expelled, if they were too abusing to others. The forums have fines, and stuff like that. I got fined last year for unfortunate things I written that weren't ok for the forums.
  19. In terms of development of stadiums, it really shows, that Adding more variety to stadiums or making a stadium visual editor is a low priority for SI Dev team. Not sure if this related, but personally it is tied to what Miles said, almost a decade ago, that they do not want FIFA graphics... I don't like this comment, because, people say its lack of competition, SI is not pushing things forward in Football Manager. No its comments like this. And promote features that are ugly like Miles did with faces, as okay quality feature. No dammit, I demand more and better from SI. (demand is strong word, I know but I think SI can do much, much more and better). The Evolution should be more evolutionary then we have today. Its okay to do small evolution of features in FM, because the fans will buy it regardless what they do (yes I'm part of that demographic). They have no incentive to change their ways (developing and communicating with us), if the current way it is a success for them. My only hope, is actually women's football will be a revolution in Football Manager, then the small evolution of fluff we had in recent years. But even that I expect more of the same evolution we have in recent years. PS: I for one would be okay, if they say: "We have developing a new graphic engine with Unreal or Unity or a new in house Miles Graphics Evolution Engine, so expect little progress in upcoming few releases." I for one would understand, not complain about that. I would be eager to see what they would develop (and time to time they make a Dev diary video and share with us how progress is coming along, much like Paradox is doing). However what we currently have, of leaving us blind, doesn't help either.
  20. This post is the reason, why SI should talk more here in these forums. I'm also curious to know about this reduction.
