  1. Nearly 8 in 10 goals being scored in my matches are going through VAR. Nearly all goals are validated. Can you please reduce VAR incidence (only use it to really close calls)? Thanks.
  2. As the name says, my shortlist is short, about 50. I sometimes go there to trim it down.
  3. All of the above is wise. Moreover, to be on the safe side, give rest days to key players, specially if they are on the high risk for injury list.
  4. Thanks. This sounds about right. But then there is the Conference (the league below Europa?) that also participates in this qualifying system, right? Yes, I think I played across Champions, Europa and Conference with Maribor all in the same season!!
  5. I was playing Maribor (Slovenia champion) and went for Champions pre-qualifying, lost and ended up in the Europa, finished third place in my group but kept playing in Europa. It was lots of fun but I got confused with all the knock-out and in and out! Does anyone know to explain how Europa stages/qualifiers develop and how it (dis)connects with Champions League? Thanks.
  6. I agree with @du Garbandier. I often accept it, as it often helps my match performance. It changes the last training session before the match. But I need to check it in the Training screen because the email doesn't what session they are suggesting.
  7. The player was loaned out? At least that's the color I chose for my loanees.
  8. I think some nations will ask you when you wish to start, other won't. But hey, now I'm realizing: FM22 has not asked me this question not even once!
  9. A good example of how FM22 Defensive option is broken. You set yourself too low, too defensive, and time wasting (is a waste). These options might work in real life, but it's exactly what does not work in FM22. (In my game, I might set mentality to Very Defensive in very final minutes but I never move my defense line low - it's asking for trouble, sorry...).
  10. You waited too long. If you want to keep a player, you need to trigger the extension at least 6 months before its due day. Otherwise he's free to accept a contract.
  11. Hi. I have a question about Rest. After a match and thinking of the next one, I often give a 1 or 2 day of rest to key players strategically between matches. As I set a player to rest, does it start on the same day or the next? For example, if it's morning when I set the rest, does the player go to rest on the same day? And what if I do set it in the afternoon? Knowing this will help me to coordinate better with my training sessions. Thanks.
  12. Hi Joao - I'm not familiar with your computer configuration but I'd say you should try to load ALL leagues in SA, specially Brazil and Argentina. Are you starting unemployed or picking a club? I'd start at some Brazilian third division club. Boa sorte! PS: Player database could be medium, or even small to be honest if your computer is weak.
  13. 40% faster speed is AMAAAAAAAAAZING! Finally, my dreams are coming true... Quite interesting idea to get rid of dead-wood regens... (And I'll avoid Japan for sure...). Thanks Dave!
  14. I expect to get a job offer to join Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga year 2029 (I currently coach Maribor in Slovenia). I was wondering how fun is to coach in the Bundesliga, and any unique tips to do well in this league? Dank Viel. PS: I've been playing FM for nearly 20 IRL years, and it dawned on me that I never played in Germany!...
  15. I got a job offer from a club in a different country, and wish to compare it with my current club. Is there a screen where I can place clubs side by side? If not, here's a suggestion...
  16. Neil, my friend, FM is slow regardless of the number of leagues and db, using above-benchmark laptops I’ve owned over the years. I play saves ranging from 4 to 40 leagues, from small/national to large/customized dbs, and the slug fest starts during the first season and gradually gets worse into 10 seasons. Yes, FM22 is a little "faster" compared to prior FMs, but still, I’d estimate 60% of dead time compared to 10% in other game genres. I'm probably an outlier in my high expectations though. The only drastic solution was those nasty hacking apps to warp speed the game which I haven’t used in ages because clicking and crashes were a problem. Yet, that technology is something that your dev teams could look into for inspiration. THAT’s the speed I’m talking about!…
  17. Thanks but it's not my laptop or some glitch. FM22 speed is on par with previous editions. It's just that FM is a darn slow game to process (and, yes, I've applied all tips and settings imaginable). In this time and age, any game that makes you wait for more than a few seconds between turns... FM is so slow that I can multitask between turns (email, streaming, TV, grab some coffee, etc.).
  18. You can make a survey and add a list of options. So many things need to be fixed.... Slow processing time is the #1 problem. FM needs to run FASTER!
  19. Tough decision. It all depends on your goal: lead a small club to glory, or climb the career ladder?
  20. Did you check your staff wages too? I believe there are wage lines where both players and staff are included. Check out this detail.
  21. Interesting post. I used to be sacked quite often in the past, but no more. Maybe my FM skills have improved over time...
  22. Please let us know if you find out. I was never able to restore a corrupted game file but it's been years since it last happened to me. I learned to always have the automatic backup save option on.
  23. It would be nice to have this option. I'd like VAR occasionally, but it comes on way too many times during my matches (maybe 5 to 7 times per game!)!!
  24. Lots of waiting time in general, even when you only load a handful of leagues. Of course, there are a few tips to try to speed up the game. But sluggishness is a major flaw of FM over the years. (I turn on TV, podcasts or YouTube to make better use of my time). No way around it.
