  1. Title says it - is there any benefit in hiring a TD who has the same or possibly even worse attributes then? I've always wondered how you can tell your staff is overloaded - for example the recruitment analysts etc.
  2. sorry my bad - apparently to the left there is an age range. I guess its a bit misleading that in the additional conditions you can pick age aswell - which doesn't even register for that reason.
  3. in scouting/scouted players/edit search/additional conditions/ you cannot set "age" - it is there but when you click on it, it doesn't let you set a range. nothing happens at all. unlike the other options here
  4. hello, I am managing Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga and for my teams which are not in a league, U21 and for my second team (Werder II), there are never any fixtures arranged even though the box in staff responsibilities is ticked and set to: "arrange match when there is no fixture in this week". but even when I tick "arrange a fixture every week" nothing happens. I made sure that all vacant staff positions are filled - just to be on the safe side. in FM23 it did work. Thank you.
  5. thanks now I found it, I got the big strength and weaknesses report as usual but then I found on the botton right corner there is another small button to get to the tactics screen... :-)
  6. hi thank you thats exactly what I was looking for, but I requested all kinds of scout reports and my scouts didnt come up with such a tactics-screen - just the strengths and weaknesses. which one did you ask for here?
  7. In my Holland save Ajax got insanely efficient after 5 years, they've won every game in the league except for one draw. So I got curious and when I check their tactic, I can see that it is a 4231 but I cannot see their roles/duties. I have requested all kinds of team reports but they only come up with strengths and weaknesses etc. Thanks for info on how I can get a team report that focuses on their tactic!
  8. when I select "ANY" anylyst, the game decided to put 10 jobs on just one analyst leaving all the other analysts jobless. My question is, can you overload an analyst like you could with the scouts, when they work on too many regions at the same time? And generally, how can I even tell that a scout or an analyst is working less effective due to an overload? The game doesnt seem to tell you. For example, if I assign 5 countries to just one scout, how will I know its too much? I mean, I dont know how good the results would have been if he had worked on fewer countries so I dont have any comparison. And, does the size of the country matter? like Brazil or China being larger than Luxemburg. Thanks!
  9. hello, I have a central defender who is exceptionally good at marking and tackling. He also has pace, strength, anticipation and decisions. However, his aggression is very low at 8. For example, when I want him to learn the trait "mark tighter" the coaches doesn't think its a good idea... So I am wondering whether I should tell him in the tactic screen (for his position/role) to mark tighter and tackle harder. My question basically is: when is it counter productive to tell your players to do these things when some of their attributes don't fit the task, sometimes only one attribute even. But not just that - when might it be better to let the player decide by themselves, for example when they can read the game well - is it then better to not tell him to mark tighter?
  10. usually I don't dive into every opponent too deeply but always try to at least adjust the basic things such as mentality line of engagement defensive line and then, for example depending on how dominant I believe the opponent will be I'd add additional things such as "early crosses", passing directness, tempo and the likes But to my question, I have had crazy mixed results in FM23 and more often than not, attack seems to be the best form of defense, regardless of how strong the opponent was (and contrary to the ingame description). But generally I'd like to have a discussion on the best way to set up at least the 3 basic things listed above. The way I do it is to check the opponents' tactic in the data hub and when it says: "they like to draw the opposion out" I'd sometimes try a low block or when they say they play a wing game, there are obvious counter measures for that in the game. but usually its not that simple, when they say "they play a vertical tiki taka" or things like that, what does that mean for me, what would be a good counter (in theory) for that? I am wondering if there are tipps from your side as there aren't that crazy many tactics the opponents can have (gegenpress, control possession style etc.) On that note, sometimes I think its a shame that the data hub now even tells us the length of the opponent's shoe laces but strangely it does NOT tell us about their expected line of engagement and defensive line which would be so valuable information for setting up your own lines. For example, when you know that they are expected to stand very high up the pitch you could try and take advantage of that. For all this discussion I should add that that I am only talking about changing the tactics, and not the formation. I usually like to leave my formation unchanged - maybe change certain duties but not the general order. Thanks!
  11. I am playing in the Bundesliga and have just completed two transfers into the Premier League. if I recall correctly, the tax amount was up to one third of the transfer amount.
  12. Hi, I have been wondering why I didnt (by far) receive the money from my recent transfers back into my transfer budget. I was expecting the full amount since the agreement with my board is 100%. Then on checking the expenditures I each found an enormous "external transfer tax". I am pretty sure that this wasn't happening in the past since I would have noticed if such huge chunks of money had been missing. So can someone confirm that this indeed has changed?
  13. I don't think so. I always try to hire higher potential for obvious reasons. and how would you know the potential just by looking at a player's current attributes? The same scout who could judge the potential of a player when he was in a bigger club (see if someone has like 80-100 points of PA left or only 15...) , suddenly can't do that anymore when he is at my club. And this is very important information because 1. players grow much faster when they have a lot of potential left (which is already making a big difference for the success in the current season) 2. selling the player for millions and millions can make the biggest difference for an aspiring club But isn't that obvious? or did I misunderstand you in some way?
  14. example: when scouting a "Rumplefoot" with 100 PA as a low league amateur club, your scout will tell you he has 5 star potential, of course. Then, on the same day, the same scout watches young Messi play. What will he report? The same: 5 stars. There is no way to identify a wonderkid, you'd have to play for like 10 seasons until your team's CA is high enough, to tell the difference. And strangely, the scout itself doesn't matter, you could hire a 50 year old level 20 scout from a champions league club who has seen it all. and yet he would not be able to tell the difference between a PA 100 and PA 200 player anymore, once he joins your club. I know, its a game and of course it's unrealistic, but this game aspires to be as realistic as possible, plus: It is not great having to play for so many seasons before you're able to identify true wonderkids.
  15. sorry but this is exactly my question and doesn't answer it: do they reduce the injury chance by delivering information on fatigue levels (so that the manager can make better informed decisions) or does it have an active impact on fatigue/injury risk as to zealand: he once made a video on FM22 or even FM21 where he (believes to have) found that having more than one sports scientist has little or even zero impact but that it does have an impact to have a high quality one (or something along those lines). for Physios this is not the case
