  1. For FM? It would no doubt be marginal Extra RAM would make zero difference and i'm betting unless you manually added detail to leagues you aren't playing in then the extra cores would make zero difference either. I'm betting both would benchmark the same Again though this is for FM. Your milage with other workloads may well be different These are the Apple Silicon we have tested on FM so far - Test A Test B Test C Test D Type CPU CPU Model Base Turbo/OC Cores Threads Cache Year RAM 01:07 05:40 Laptop Apple M1 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz 8 8 N/A Q4'20 8GB 01:07 05:54 Laptop Apple M1 Max 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz 10 10 N/A Q4'21 01:08 05:50 10:46 Laptop Apple M1 Pro 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz 10 10 N/A Q4'21 16GB 01:11 06:04 14:27 51:10 Desktop Apple M1 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz 8 8 N/A Q4'20 8GB Source-
  2. As Kev says it will be close. I would suspect that the M2 will be quicker but, and its a big but, the Pro has fans so can sustain performance for longer which is important for FM.
  3. It won't kick in until next season, in case you think it isn't working. It's a great little hack though and matches are still on TV so you won't lose out on revenue.
  4. I could really imagine this kind of thing being a Youtube/social media hit with people invested in the lineups, the game streamed live etc Or maybe i'm way off
  5. I'm so paranoid I back mine up to multiple locations, the cloud which auto downloads to 3 other PC's and a physical backup to an external drive. I've been burned in the past too so anyone reading this make sure you use the 5 rolling backup at the very least
  6. I'd say you have unfinished business in Turkey
  7. This guy did it, https://realtimefm.wordpress.com/2012/11/ crazy amount of commitment needed His save ran 01 Dec 2012 to 30 June 2015.
  8. There was a thread about this very thing on here recently. You are very much not alone there are a lot of people who do just that I know @Platinum does
  9. Nice size screen too, great desktop replacement. Begs the question why don't they just stick one of their OEM Windows licences in it and sell it for the £900 its worth?
  10. All of those things yes, very rewarding and challenging if you have the time
  11. I mean the stars as in the ability and potential ones as judged by your staff I'd like it to be like previous FM/CM's where there were no stars and you had to judge players solely on attributes. It makes me lazy because it tends to affect my judgement of players when it can be wrong a lot of the time, especially when you manage low down like I do with terrible staff. There was a Skin like this for FM21 but by all accounts the stars are on so many screens it is really hard to implement. I've used the kind of skin involving the attributes that you refer to in the past and enjoyed it too, but it makes you have to devote an awful lot of time to the game and I found myself writing endless notes on players. It can be quite realistic in my mind though, I used to use the attribute colour skin and have one colour for attributes 1-5 6-14 and 15-20. Gives you a nice at a glance picture of what players are really bad and good at.
  12. I have done in previous FM's but I was already well into my save on FM22 before I found one. Personally its just the stars i'd like to turn off, I think they make me a tad lazy when it comes to assessing players
  13. Just read your rules back and I know you've said you'll start unemployed but here's the LLM Picker for bottom league clubs sorted by stars. https://www.the9llamas.com/llmpicker/llmpicker22-blue-llama#h.qm4qn8u8qnhm Good luck with your save, keep us updated as you go along! Don't worry about being successful, heck, as you can see from my post further up it took me 7 seasons to get out of the bottom division so it's all relative when you put constraints in in an effort to be more realistic
  14. I do all my press conferences mainly because it mentions it on your manager profile. It says something like "lets his assistant do his talking for him" which I really hate
  15. I know this doesn't help you with your question but i'd say you are doing amazingly to be knocking on the door of the league within three seasons
  16. I realised how lazy they made me when I booted up CM01/02 for a touch of nostalgia and found myself lost without them I hope they will remove them too along with mentality in tactics but that's a discussion for another day........
  17. I would say the lack of absolutes is what makes FM such a great game. I personally try to always use a skin that removes all stars. They make me lazy.
  18. Its a shot in the dark but have you tried to send the save file to someone else and see if it will open on their computer?
  19. Its great to bring a load of players along for the ride, it definitely adds to a save Thanks! Honestly people in my office can't understand why i'm in such a good mood on a Monday morning Obviously its taken me a long time but I do use the 1 hour rule and other LLM guidelines so sometimes its to be expected.
  20. @George_84 Good going there mate, absolutely gutting though to fall out of the automatic spots at the final hurdle! Good luck in the playoffs though, let us know how you get on Also managed to bag myself my first promotion in FM22! After 7 seasons trying and only confirming it on the final day it's fair to say I was literally punching the air with joy With 3 games left to play the table looked like this Thanks to a Newcastle in 1996 style capitulation from Halifax a draw on the final day was enough to seal the title with the final table looking like this To be fair i'd been due a bit of luck after 2 really tight playoff defeats over the years so I will take it! Here's my history with Stalybridge
  21. I believe you, it's just not my experience. It might be worth bringing up as a bug
