  1. The game, as long as it’s AI driven, will properbly always be relatively easy. However, I think there could be some more flexibility in terms of roles. Why not make certain PPMs available as a PI.
  2. The main problem i think is, that the current form of ME just isnt capable of being that flexible. Many teams, including bayern, nowadays build up with a back three using a FB who moves narrow, a DM to drop in between or both CD's who drop deep to form the back three by involving the keeper. However, that shape primarily is used during build up in their own half. As soon as they approach the final third (in bayerns case) the fullback / pavard will provide width or at least midfield support. Overall, especially top teams, did become way more fluid in their shapes and how players are positioned. Its also impossibel to create fluid interchaning movement between attacking players (yes i know, you can swap positions).
  3. It’s properbly poorly phrased, but it basicly means that your team was pressed into their own half most of the time which basicly fits your cautious mentality. A higher mentality will move your players higher up the pitch and helps you to win back possession early. Overall you will spend more time in the oppositions half
  4. There will be no schedule for that league. However, if you look at your players profile, you will see them playing matches and their average rating. Should be all fine for development
  5. Quick transitions (slightly more direct + tempo then usual) to take advantage of a disorganized midfield and have players (AM strata or deep strikers) to exploit the space between midfield and defence.
  6. There is a paid subscription needed to access the article. Properbly against SI's ToS.
  7. Tight marking is always tight marking, it’s not more or less effective depending on where you choose it. The approach tho is different Tight Marking Team Instruction = Every player marks his assigned (depending on the zone he is responsible for) opposition tightly Tight Marking Player Instruction = That player marks his assigned (depending on the zone he is responsible for) opposition tightly Tight Marking Opposition Instruction = That opposition player is marked tightly by whoever is responsible
  8. Regista is a Creative role, a playmaker. Segundo Volante is a Runner, that’s trying to get involved in the final third.
  9. I think 22 is perfect. Most likely my squad will look like 14-15 potential starters and 7-8 players as backups. Every Position should be covered by 2 players and backup players need to be good on various positions and roles. I will usually have 2-3 youngsters around aside from my starting 11. In terms of squad development, there will be a young and promising prospect for every position around in the club, either in one of the youth squads, as a backup in my first squad or loaned out to another club.
  10. Well, I know it’s not very complex, but there actually is a manual that explains everything on a very basic level. In case you didn’t know https://community.sigames.com/sigames-manual/football-manager-2022/
  11. mhh, I could reproduce that problem bei deleting all Players from my formation. Do you have players assigned to your Formation? If that wouldn't solve it, i dont know anymore :-)
  12. Do you use a Custom Skin? And does it also appear at default Skin? Did you pick the right tactic for training? Default setting is to primarily focus on Tactic Slot 1 Did you take over training by yourself or downloaded a training schedule from someone else. Properbly check if tactical familiarity is continously part of the schedule. If you leave it to the AM it should be fine.
  13. I’m just wondering whether that’s displayed ingame correctly in terms of attribute highlighting.
  14. Did you check the bug tracker if a report already has been raised? Otherwise I would highly suggest to create one. Make sure before raising, that the problem as well occurs without any mods / skins / graphics. https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/
  15. Never seen a 3,5 star player to come out of the youth department, so congratulations I would keep him form 1 or two years in your youth team as training time is more important than match experience being that young. Then make him at 17/18 a first team starter for your squad and start mentoring him.
  16. Actually i think you are not too far off with your interpretation of roles and instructions. You may want to try a right FB sitting more narrow on a support or defend duty, eventhough it wont work perfectly. The ME has some challanges with such specific patters of players movement outside of their desired position.
  17. First of all you did a very good job at 1860, if you really manage to get promoted to Bundesliga within two years. I think the main problem will be your teams progression which is much faster then your reputation and income to actually compete for „real“ 1st division players. The best way properbly is to find one or another player to join you on a free transfer who is an average 1st division player or at least close to. And stick to loans for the first season. if you manage to stay in the league will gain the financial strength to refine and further build your squad
  18. That’s totally fine. In that case I would just make adjustments to the pressing triggers instruction. Slightly lower it, if you are after protecting space against a superior opponent for example slightly increase it properbly, if your team is the favourite to regain possession more quickly. remember tho, it’s not the instructions alone, that make a good Defence. Mentality, Formation, roles and duties do also play a very important role.
  19. @Outsider23 So the problem is solved? It didn’t read like if there is anything going wrong in particular. If you still struggle I would be interested in knowing what exactly your observations are on your teams behaviors.
  20. You are definitely on the right track by increasing the mentality, tempo and passing directness (as you wrote in your opening post). What are your observations on those adjustments tho? What I would do in addition is to have more players attack from different angles. There is no reason for being overly conservative if the opposition is just staying back and defend. Having overall more direct runs will open up space for a pass or for other players to utilize that space.
  21. I would usually go for quality. Most likely at the end of every season I try to improve the worst 1-2 players of my starting eleven. You can go for a deeper squad with more money to have somewhat 15 top tier players to rotate due to fixture congestion
  22. Leave him in youth team until he’s 18 and then move him to the first squad. You need to give him some matches though, at least some sub ins for 15-30 minutes. If he is not good enough, you need to loan him out or play him in second team. everything is worse than not getting match experience for a 18-24 year old player. Personality will develop over time anyway, as hidden attributes do over the course of a career. That’s why you most likely will find no older player with a super bad personality. That’s why I wouldn’t worry too much about a 15 years old personality as a first priority.
  23. Well aside whether Gegenpress is OP or not, you are always free to do your own thing. Why not create a style with standard pressing, some short passing gameplay or even try out a formation / role you never used? There are many ways to be successful (and overachieve). Overall it’s still a game. It’s the most accurate however.
