  1. It's marked as a high priority issue for us to investigate. Thanks.
  2. We believe it's an issue specific to North American - The North American rule group was being disabled due to a requirement of 24 MLS teams but the competitions were still being created without fixture rules. This is something we're looking at internally with the aim of providing a fix in a future update, but is something with wide-ranging potential knock-ons, so needs to be thoroughly checked internally first..
  3. With competition and rule group changes, so things like cup draws when we address issues it unfortunately means in some circumstances a new save game/career would be required for the change to take effect.
  4. Do you happen to have a save game from the point a player has returned but before they've played again for you and made a second 'debut'? If so, please upload and let us know the file name so we can investigate further. Details on how to upload here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/how-to-upload-files-to-us-r98/ Thanks.
  5. The thing is, often these players IRL still have the ability, it's just their performance level drops off. This can happen within the match engine for players with low professionalism, consistency and other hidden attributes. Bit of a disconnect from FM players/managers between players having high CA/PA etc and ignoring how these players perform within the match engine. In real life players are judged by how they perform week in and week out, not by how good people think they are on 'ability' alone.
  6. Just to be clear, the user came back and confirmed that by using the launch option it fixed their issue. Yes by running the launch option is disables certain code in game, but the issue itself is resolved for them being disabling this code.
  7. Yeah appreciative there needs some balancing and some older high reputation players may not be dropping off quickly enough, leaving those gaps for younger players to be given opportunities. To be fair in previous versions of FM we've had people flag to us that older players drop off too quickly so indicates how it's a tricky thing to balance. Something we're always looking at and appreciate people who have raised examples and feedback via these forums.
  8. Yes, we looked at your save specifically so is a reply to you. It's a limitation in how the system works currently. It's 19/20 and you'd only have a board request to upgrade if it drops to 18/20. As said if you want us to edit it specifically to your save we can do. From the game's perspective you do have elite level facilities already, which is why this cannot be upgraded further due to said limitation.
  9. If you do upload please do remember to come back and let us know the file name. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for providing, the team will review when they're able to do so.
  11. I've been playing in the Turkish leagues - I've had a lot of players develop a decent amount just playing U19 football. I tend not to loan them out until they get too old for the U19s as that way they're fully classified as HG and HGC which is much more important in the Turkish rule setup. When they're consistently in the 7.5+ average ratings at that level, they can be given first team opportunities. What I'll do is look to promote them to the first team, but still make them available for the youth team - that way they're training with the first team schedule/coaches etc. That DM was involved in 1 first team game at age 16, 0 at 17 (had an awful loan spell at a lower league team where he played 5 games and I recalled him early), 13 at 18; 19 at 19; 32 at 20; 32 at 21; 31 at 22. Had another develop well who played 0 at 16 and 17; 13 at 18; 29 at 19 and 25 at 20. In some nations you have the U23s which give you an added option when they've developed beyond a useful level at U18, but the principle is the same. Also something to add, I am being more hands-on with training than I've been in previous versions. The AI does an 'okay' job, but for bigger rewards you need to be at least doing some aspect of schedule building and individual training. Good luck!
  12. To the original poster @-Jef- - we've checked your save and this isn't reproducing for us here. To just check, once the focus ends the findings can be found under the 'Completed Focus' section as it'll then restart. Are you definitely checking it after it has ended in the completed section and not at the point where it's restarted? To everyone else, as Zachary has said above, please created your own thread if you believe you have an issue. Thanks.
  13. In older versions (so pre-FM22) the player development rate was a little bit too quick, which meant sometimes you'd have high quality prospects reaching their peak by say 21. For that reason we've made changes to make it more true to real life and takes more time. Realistically for lower league players being ready for the first team by the age of 18 is relatively rare if it's just players through your own academy - it's normally a balance between players discarded by clubs higher up the ladder and the odd prospect that makes it through. Speaking from my own personal experience, I've seen players develop by more than 1-2 attributes over the space of a few seasons in FM23. Between the age of 16-20 I've had a DM increase his Acceleration, Agility, Stamina and First Touch by 5, Concentration by 7 and Strength by 8. In total having 22 attributes which have increased by 2 or more. So yes, players can be developed.
  14. Would be worth removing any custom graphics or add-ons with the game and trying again. If that doesn't work like we've replied in your other thread, worth uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that helps. If it still doesn't work, please contact support directly here - https://fmofficial.support/Ticket Thanks.
  15. Uninstalling and reinstalling won't interfere with your save game. All game files like that can only be removed manually. Would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling with the issue you have. If after doing so you still have the same issue, worth contacting support directly - https://fmofficial.support/Ticket
  16. Thanks for the save game. The scheduling issue is with our team who are investigating. Appreciate this is frustrating as not being exactly the same as RL.
  17. Hi and thanks for the post. Yeah it is something we're always looking at with statistics and how they reflect with real life. Our stats aren't always compiled and recorded exactly as they are in real life (so in terms of say what constitutes a cross for instance - does that include set pieces? Does a blocked shot that hits the post count as hit woodwork etc?) but that's something we're trying to get aligned. With our match engine above everything else we want it to look like football and reflect football as much as possible. So that the outcome and balance is as close as we can get it. Would be pointless to have a situation where nearly every single stat aligns with real life, but games all end up with 10 goals in them for instance. That's why as we work to balance, we'll prioritise realism in some areas over others - so say goals per game, or number of shots, bookings, injuries etc - those that have a big impact on results and the overall game itself. Saying that, we're always looking to fine tune and feedback is useful from within the community. We are aware for instance that shots that hit the woodwork is higher than it should be, but the number of goals per game is close to RL. If we make changes to say make shots slightly less accurate, we may end up with a situation where less shots are hitting the post which is great, but there are less goals in games which would be bad. So yes, please do provide feedback and raise any issues via our Bug Tracker here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/ Just understand that with something as complex as the match engine, there's a big difference between spotting an issue and being able to make changes that improve the overall experience. Thanks.
  18. Would be interested if possible to see any video footage of the flicking that you're encountering now - and potentially even the footage from before if you revert back what you've changed just so we can get an idea of how severe it's been for you. Details on how to provide a video here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/recording-a-video-and-uploading-instructions-r12305/
  19. And to be clear, your FM23 issue isn't fixed by doing as shown below? - Go into Steam and right-click on the game - Select 'Properties' - Click 'Set Launch Options...' - Copy the following into the dialogue box: --disable_flip_discard - Close the panel by clicking the 'x' button and launch the game
  20. Thanks for clarifying the --disable_flip_discard resolved your issue. Could you please post your DxDiag so we have a better picture of a machine which was affected by this? Details on how to do so here - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997195057553 Thanks.
  21. Where exactly are you seeing this? Do you have a screenshot which shows it? And to the latter point no - it can only be set manually or via player condition.
  22. You need to look at the context of things first. It's not just a race between two players which is solely determined by one attribute. The person with the ball - what's their dribbling stat? Stronger it is, the more likely they'll be able to retain possession. Likewise with the acceleration, that's only for the first few yards, then it's the pace. But what was the original positioning of the players? One facing the right way will have an immediate advantage than one that needs to turn for instance. One with more strength would be able to use that to shrug a chasing player off the ball. Also have to take into account their current condition at the point of the 'race'. Had either of them done a recent sprint and are still tired from doing so? Are any lacking in general condition/fitness etc? So please when providing examples, do not just look at individual attributes and think that one is the only thing being used for these. Also bear in mind the 3D is a representation of football, so won't always look entirely accurate to what's happened. A player may actually be a couple of yards further behind than it appears, which is why they've struggled to catch - or been a couple of yards further in front which is why they've got away. We appreciate you taking the time to raise issues and provide pkms, but a lot of what you have raised isn't taking the wider context into account so quite often are not issues requiring further investigation. Please bear this in mind when raising match engine issues again in the future. Thanks.
