  1. A lot of issues require a reproducible example for the development team to be able to fix, and then QA check to make the fix works and doesn't cause knock-ons. Sometimes these are easy to get and can be done quickly in house, sometimes it requires an uploaded save from our players. In other scenarios it is just a case of being able to look at the code directly and spot the issue. However every issue logged also requires a priority depending on the severity of the issue and how many players will encounter it. We then have to balance internal resource and the complexity and potential knock-ons of any fix. You also have with the majority of rule, schedule and competition issues require a new save game to come into effect due to the nature of how this code works. That specific issue was fixed earlier in the cycle but unfortunately the tracker thread wasn't set to resolved. That's something I've done now and the team will sweep to try and make sure everything is up to date.
  2. Can confirm this issue was addressed in our December update but requires a new save game to come into effect.
  3. Thanks for the info here - gives us a bit more to work with when investigating.
  4. Think you'll find the vast majority of issues raised have a response from SI. What we aren't currently in a position to do is give updates on issues under investigation, but will mark issues as resolved when they're addressed in a released update. Where issues require an additional save or further info, we've been quick to ask for that as well.
  5. I've got a folder with all my saves from FM23 going back to FM07. Despite thinking I always will, I never have Once a new one comes out, that's the one I play.
  6. Just to be clear, this code is rather complex given all the potential 'bonus' places that can be given out due to coefficient ratings and winning of other competitions etc. It could definitely be clearer - generally players accept qualifying for the Europa League as 'European qualification' which given the Conference League, isn't all that well presented to the user manager. That was partly due to when this was first implemented, the Conference League didn't exist! So yes, will require a change to what we call the strings (text in game) to update this. However saying that, winning the Conference League will pass the promise from what we've checked in the code today, so if you have a save game where it doesn't, ideally just before the final took place, we'd be extremely interested in looking at it. But yeah, would say Bug Tracker is always the best place for things like this.
  7. Any version of FM22 you can access will be compatible with any save you had with the game pass version. Whilst we're unable to sell older versions directly via stores due to licensing reasons, via the power of a good old fashioned search engine you should be able to find somewhere that will sell you an unused digital key/unopened box copy.
  8. Is something the team is still looking at and will provide more info when we're able to do so. Thanks.
  9. Yeah upload the save game and let me know the details (so file name/player etc) and I can do it. Details on how to upload here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/how-to-upload-files-to-us-r98/

  12. Yeah frustratingly enough we have heard that a reinstall should address this - do bear in mind all save games etc will be kept safe during this process as they can only be removed if you do so manually.
  13. Try this first - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997644231185 and then verify your game files as shown here - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997753543185 If that doesn't work, try as suggested here - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/10002466293009
  14. We've had some reports that downloads got a bit corrupted so first step is to reverify your game files as shown here - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997753543185 If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling. All saves etc will be kept safe during this process as they can only be deleted if you do so manually.
  15. We're checking in to see if it's something on our end. Please let us know if you're able to load successfully.
  16. Do you have a crash dump file? Have you tried this? - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997644231185
  17. What platform are you on? Is it Steam, Epic or Microsoft Store/Game Pass?
  18. We've just released minor update 23.2.2 for Football Manager 2023 which is now available for Steam, Epic and Microsoft Store versions of the game. The update primarily looks to address issues relating to in-game stability and performance ahead of our Winter data updates due out later this year. The update is save game compatible, meaning you're able to continue any existing managerial careers and benefit from those included changes. If you encounter any problems downloading and installing, we recommend restarting Steam/Epic, or by manually checking for updates if you’re playing through the Windows Store. Changelist 23.2.2 - Stability and crash fixes, including some users being unable to process past specific in-game dates or encountering problems when attempting to load saves - Improvements to performance in game, including game start up time and increasing rate of processing speed in some situations between days - Changes to game performance during matches - Removed additional game border that would appear instead of Macbook notch for users running on recent models of M1 Macs - Fix for set piece delivery aim instruction sometimes becoming unavailable If you encounter any problems with the game and require technical support, please log a support ticket with our team. For any general bugs with the game please use our Bug Tracker.
  19. Frequently Asked Questions What do Assistant Researchers do? Assistant Researchers are an important part of the scouting process for Football Manager, making our in-game database as up to date and accurate as possible. They analyse and rate players, staff and make sure numerous other pieces of information related to football clubs are accurate. What’s a Head Researcher (HR) and Assistant Researcher (AR) and what’s the difference? HR’s take responsibility for an entire nation or region in game, meaning that they oversee all the data and work directly with our in-house Research department. AR’s work within this framework, providing support for the HR’s by scouting specific teams, leagues or in some cases even nations to make sure all the information is up to date and correct. How can I get involved? By contacting the Head Researcher and providing details on how you could be able to assist as stated above. Some countries/clubs require specific help and are advertised as such via this part of our forums. Within each specific thread you’ll be able to see how to contact the HR and what information you’ll need to apply. What benefits are there if I’m accepted into an AR role? Whilst the roles are unpaid, if work is done to a high standard you will be eligible to receive a free copy of the forthcoming version of Football Manager. Once you’ve proven yourself you can also be put forward into our Private Testing program for future and advance versions of our game, meaning you’ll be one of the select few who see the game before anyone else outside of the studio. It’s also something good to put on the CV/Resume and some of our researchers have gone on to work within scouting and data teams within football at clubs around the world. Others have even ended up working here at Sports Interactive, some as coders, some as QA and some in our in-house research team. What kind of skills do I need to have to become an Assistant Researcher? As a starting point you need to have a keen interest in both football and Football Manager. We also like our ARs to regularly watch first team games and ideally if they can youth team football to have a comprehensive understanding of any team they’re scouting. We would also recommend familiarity with how the Pre-Game Editor works with FM as our research tools are similar in layout. As well as the above you also need at least basic IT skills to operate our online database and to keep in contact with HRs and other ARs as and when required. Are there any guides or support for me if I do get the role? Absolutely. Once appointed you can view our Researcher Guidelines within our Online Research Database (ORDB) which explains a number of things, ranging from how to use the ORDB down to what every in-game attribute represents. I don't have the time to be an Assistant Researcher but still would like to contribute, is there any other way I can get involved? Yes! If you notice something wrong with our in-game data or think you can help we have our Database and Research Bugs Forum which allows all users to provide feedback on our in-game data. The main thing we ask is that people remember that much of the data is subjective and to respect everyone’s opinion.
  20. Current Assistant Researcher Roles All teams and levels from across Andorra, Albania and Luxembourg Applicants are expected to be FM players who have extensive knowledge of the level they’re applying for, ranging from player and staff details right down to club kits, finances and records. Ideally, they would regularly attend or watch matches for both the first team and development/youth teams so are able to scout players across all levels. However please don't let this put you off applying if you still have strong knowledge without attending live fixtures. We also expect applicants to have at least a basic understanding of how data works in-game and have the appreciation that we’re striving for everything to be as accurate as possible. We need our researchers to have at least basic IT skills to operate our online database and keep in contact with Head Researchers and other Assistant Researchers as and when required. In your application please let us know what makes you a viable candidate for the role as clearly as possible. To express interest in any of the roles above, please email Sports Interactive's Andorran, Albanian and Luxembourgish research team with your application and the Subject - AR Application - TEAM NAME of the team you're applying for. For any further questions, please check out our Researcher Frequently Asked Questions below.
