  1. Thanks for this video example - it's been passed onto our development team who are continuing to investigate with the info provided. When we have further info we'll look to update you where we can. Appreciate this is frustrating for you and that the workarounds are not ideal - we'd only suggest these temporarily until we can get a better understanding of why your system is seeing this specific problem. Thanks again.
  2. Technical Directors are primarily in place to hire staff on your behalf when you don't want the responsibility. Better the JSA, better the staff will likely be.
  3. To confirm, this is an issue the team are now aware of and are investigating. Thanks.
  4. All issues raised via the Bug Tracker are investigated by our team. Depending on the priority of the issue, risk assessment of any changes and time available we will look to address as many as we can. What you've listed there are factors which all have a large number of influences in game, so would be a case of balancing a number of aspects in order to change how it currently works. As always we're looking to get the most realistic representation of real life football and work is constantly being done on that to do so.
  5. Bloomin' AVs! Glad you got it sorted and thanks for coming back and confirming
  6. Ah okay, that looks like it may well be causing the problem as that looks like a shared drive rather than local? Realistically if you can I would suggest finding space on the C:, but if you can't or space is limited, still worth trying H:. To do so, go into H and as a test, right-click and select 'New Folder' to create a folder. Let's name it 'FM23 Test'. Then enter as follows in the launch options: --user_data_location="H:\FM23 Test" Make sure to have created the folder before you put this in the launch options. Then launch the game and see if it now allows the game to run.
  7. So to be clear on this one, no Sports Interactive folder in documents will have been generated as the game has never successfully launched. These folders are only generated when the game launches correctly, which is why you're only seeing the cloud folder. The most likely cause for this is anti-virus conflict. Appreciate that your anti-virus has been configured to add Steam to the exceptions, but we have seen scenarios in the past where AVs continue to block silently causing issues like this. In those circumstances we've found that running Windows Defender, then uninstalling your current AV and FM then reinstalling FM will then allow to run successfully. Are you able to try that? Failing that being the cause, it could be down to the creation of folders for some reason being blocked, but as you've said you've tried the launch option within Steam that should address that. This video is for FM20 but still contains the relevant info to make sure you can double check you've done this correctly - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbfpKkeVxjI I've put this info in the support ticket as well as an FYI.
  8. What's your support ticket number so we can follow up there? Thanks.
  9. Do you mean due to a tribunal rather than a straight-transfer? Or do you mean in regards to instalments?
  10. With the added benefit of knowing what's changed under the hood in that time and having played a pretty significant career game of FM23 out of work hours - absolutely it has in my opinion. But like football often is, FM is all about opinions and we don't expect everyone to agree with each other.
  11. We've got a number of internal tools that allow us to do a whole host of experiments and visualisation. One of my favourites is a tool that shows all the lines of thought/pass for individual players when on the ball. Depending on their available attributes (so decisions, passing, vision etc) it'll show a lot more options for top calibre players. PKMs allow us to view specific incidents within the engine, so we can walk through with said tools to see why a decision or mistake was made. Do bear in mind we need to have players making mistakes in game. Playing poorly conceived passes or failing with technique. There's just of course a difference between a mistake made by mistake and a mistake made due to a bug/issue.
  12. Thanks for clarifying, our team will investigate your video and provide feedback when we're able to.
  13. The ME is not several years behind anything - there's no other product that produces such a realistic simulation of football over ninety minutes. At some point it may be worth asking why have so few people/studios been successful in creating one? Seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding in this thread to how complex and difficult coding something like this is. Newer does not always mean better.
  14. Like everything we're trying to balance the match engine to make it the most realistic representation of football possible. We're aware of certain areas that don't align with real life that we're investigating. However, as always with these, we won't look to make changes which risk the integrity of the match engine's overall balance, so have to work to find the best overall outcome. Whilst of course we'd want everything to be perfect, imagine you'd agree that FM players would much rather the number of headers be too high than other major aspects, such as scorelines for instance, be completely inaccurate. Even the most minor changes to the ME can have knock-ons elsewhere, so any changes have to be extremely considered and heavily tested before they can be considered for an update.
  15. It's taking into account what their fitness will likely be the following day. Even if a player is slightly more recovered the next day (which they will be), in most cases you'll find the assistant has recommended they be left out if they've had a heavy work load or are starting to feel slightly fatigue or tired.
  16. Do you have an example of how it runs? Perhaps a video you can provide to show us the performance level? Details on how to do so here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/recording-a-video-and-uploading-instructions-r12305/ Thanks.
  17. May be in some cases they never wanted to leave the club but certainly were happy to leave the manager
  18. @joaselgoat, any chance you can upload to us (or post here) a video of what it looks like? Details on how to provide a video here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/recording-a-video-and-uploading-instructions-r12305/ Thanks.

  20. Very difficult to say what's happened in this specific examples of games without seeing things in more detail, such as your tactic and what's specifically happened in these games. From really looking at those I genuinely think more often than not you'd be able to figure it out. Reality is that sometimes you do lose games you shouldn't and sometimes you win games you shouldn't despite your input, which could explain at least one of those defeats. You've said yourself the opposition are scoring worldies and your players are missing good chances, so there may well be an element of luck and you not being able to adapt tactically quickly enough. One thing you could look at is have you been resting players regularly and rotating? Fatigue definitely builds up over a season. From my own personal perspective, real life football management doesn't come with 'answers' beyond what's available to look at in game - so should the game? I do think that in terms of the game's learning curve and giving player feedback we could do more, especially for less experienced players. But there's a hell of a lot of information in the data hub available to you, you just need to figure out what helps you view the match in a way that you can learn from. We could certainly look at ways of improving that, but it wouldn't be something that would be straight-forward. The classic really is that you've been beaten by two teams in similar circumstances (Palace and Leicester) which I'd guess without being able to really look into it, suggests you've played a tactic where you've committed a lot of players forward against a team who have set up defensively and they've done you on the break when you've overcommitted. One post shot and going one down leads you to pushing more players forward and damaging the balance of your attack, leaving you more susceptible to the break. Imagine in the Everton game you had a lot of possession and shots, but they were mainly blocked or from long range given they had so many men behind the ball. Also think there's a mentality of just because a tactic works against A, doesn't mean it'll work in the same away against B. Subtle changes and the use of opposition instructions can make a noticeable difference. The tactical forums on here can often open your eyes a bit.
  21. With the greatest respect, if this happens to you once or twice that's unlucky. If it happens more frequently than that, would recommend looking at your tactical approach as clearly something isn't quite right. 40 shots strikes me as a team who are putting quantity over quality.
  22. Would suggest people: PLEASE create your own individual thread highlighting your specific issue here, that way we can make sure every user is responded to with relevant troubleshooting information where required, and we can gather more information. We've provided more info on what would be helpful in this thread. The game is designed to run in 60fps with a refresh rate of 60hz, so would very much recommend configuring to that for best performance. We're closing this thread given there's been a number of changes in the most recent update so very much would require information based on this latest version in specific threads so we can track and make sure everyone is having their information tracked individually. Thanks.
  23. If you're encountering issues with match engine performance, please read our FAQ articles first to try and troubleshoot your issue Poor ME Performance Flickering During Matches If after trying everything listed above, please CREATE YOUR OWN ISSUE within this forum and explain the issue you're encountering. If you can provide your DxDiag/System Info it'll be helpful in allowing us to assist. Likewise if you're able to provide a video showing what you're seeing, that will also help us to help you. Thanks.
