  1. Where did it state exactly that the game was not supported on your device?
  2. As I said, they won't 'mark a manager down' but they will give them a slight boost. So let's say on a managerial rating, you're performing at a level considered 70/100. If you don't play direct football, it'll still be 70/100. If you do play what they consider direct football, it'll be a 75/100. Though some may consider what chairpeople, directors and those judging you on these things may be more in line with what the great Len Shackleton thought in his biography:
  3. The way these types of demands work in game, it's not so much that you're not living up to them and that's meaning you're in a worse place, it's more if you achieve them it's like a bonus that gives you more credit with the board. And in fairness I definitely think there are chairpeople in the game who demand that style of high octane 'direct' football. The same sort of people you hear in crowds every week saying "just get it forward" etc. Maybe they're less common than they used to be (Barry Fry comes to mind) but I do think it happens in lower league football even today.
  4. May be worth sharing on the Tactics forum as well for a bit of feedback - https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/19-tactics-training-strategies-discussion/ Would definitely agree with the 'work ball into box'/distribute to CBs' being a potential downfall. Even the BPD's could be accused of not being direct (even if they can occasionally hit ambitious through-ball style passes).
  5. Does commonly happen IRL when a player receives an offer or even goes on trial, other clubs will hear through the grapevine (often via agents) which will increase the likelihood of an offer being made.
  6. Again this is refreshing what was said in the previous thread, which we clearly explained why these tests are not accurate. To be clear your comment from the OP: Is not true. It's being investigated because it's been raised on these forums, but there's absolutely nothing seen internally that suggests there's a problem. Please take the time to make sure when you're representing something, to do so with complete accuracy. Here is the thread in question - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2022-bugs-forum/medical-and-development-centre-training-and-finances/training-sessions-dont-boost-the-attributes-of-their-description-like-at-all-r7679/?tab=comments#comment-48662 Given this covers the same points as were made in the previous thread, I would suggest continuing the conversation there. Thanks.
  7. No I don't believe there is. As FM21 and FM22 are 64-bit, would say there is a much larger chance this won't happen again. But as you may imagine, it's not something we've tested to this extreme level of save!
  8. Yeah as said above, the API changed which meant it could no longer be supported in-game.
  9. Yeah is no longer available. Would say most people these days just use screen recording software (so the likes of OBS Studio), to the extent we've actually taken the option out of more recent versions of FM.
  10. Have copied this issue across to our Bug Tracker as well. Issue can be found here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2022-bugs-forum/league-specific-issues/north-america-official-league-specific-issues/mls-all-star-game-bug-r7674/
  11. Have either of you loaded anyone else's save game at any point on this version of FM? The way the HOF works is that it pulls in data from any loaded save, even if it wasn't started on your system. So could have been imported that way.
  12. It sounds like it's dependent on what you're looking to do. If you want something to be checked by us and potentially improved or fixed if a problem is discovered then it really needs to be raised via the Bug Tracker. If you want to raise something for discussion with the community then that's fine to raise it within GD and have people comment. It's just understanding that whilst we try to be across as much as possible, there's a far greater chance we'll pick up anything raised within the Tracker itself.
  13. Unfortunately applications for this role are now closed. Sorry about that.
  14. Yeah, as FM18 was 32-bit as said this is likely the reason this issue is occuring. At least gives someone else a shot at the record on a more recent 64-bit version!
  15. Just to be clear, the best way to raise specific issues is via our Bug Tracker here - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2022-bugs-forum/ Always a risk that if an issue is raised within a thread on a different topic won't be picked up. The set pieces training has been flagged to our QA team to investigate further. As an initial reaction, the way training is designed in game is so that it's designed to work realistically. If you set your entire team to only train say set pieces for weeks on end, the overall progression of players ability would be affected negatively, meaning attributes wouldn't rise to any great degree and most likely see a general drop off. The way attribute weighting works may show jumps in some areas which will be counter-balanced by drops elsewhere (overall CA should as said, remain consistent or drop, albeit in part dependent on a number of other factors - coaching/training facilities etc). Training is meant to use an overall balance in schedules to work over time, not be set in isolation. Looking at this video, this kind of control test where all the other factors that go into progression (player form, happiness etc) aren't considered, there's a strong chance that it won't really give the most accurate results. But again as said, this is just from an initial quick look and our team will, as with everything that gets flagged on the Bug Tracker, check it out.
  16. Just to be clear on this one, it is something we've looked into internally and found the way the test was run means the results are basically just a result of variance in the match engine rather than a good measure of the impacts of training. That's not trying to dismiss the test at all as it has sparked some interesting and insightful conversation. But that's what we found after investigating.
  17. It appears the squad has already been selected but the inbox item has appeared asking you to confirm again. Go on holiday for one day via the 'My Profile' -> 'Go on Holiday' option and your squad will be submitted. You are unable to make any further changes to the squad at the point you've uploaded the save from.
  18. Just to confirm you can buy/activate the game through Windows Store/Game Pass, Epic or Steam. If you buy a boxed copy it can only be activated through Steam for FM22.
  19. You're right that there is a significant recalculation on 'season update day', but reputations constantly update throughout the season as well, meaning some players who may not have been interested early in the season will be if things improve. As said, especially so if promotion looks likely.
  20. The game should be able to recognise once you're in a very strong/mathematically assured of promotion, so if you have an example of where this happens please do flag it ideally with a save at that point so the team can investigate further - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2022-bugs-forum/transfers-contracts-scouting-recruitment-meetings-and-staff-responsibilities/ Details on how to provide a save game listed here, but please remember if you do to come back and let us know the file name - https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/instructions-and-notes/how-to-upload-files-to-us-r98/ Thanks.
  21. Not at all. Allows you to extend a player with the same terms they've already agreed rather than renegotiate a more expensive contract when you need to renew. And likewise especially useful when their contract is winding down. If they didn't have a release clause, also allows you to extend their existing contract which means generally their value is higher (values of players are higher when they have lots of time left on their contract). Just isn't an 'anti-transfer' device and can't be used like that either in game or in real life.
  22. Would say this promise really needs rewording, as what the player is asking for is a new contract worth signing. The promise isn't kept if you offer them two buttons and some magic beans. Appreciate in your mind you may be offering them something you think is fair and reasonable, but for the promise to be kept, you need to offer them a contract that they want to sign. Appreciate that isn't really clear from how it currently appears in-game.
  23. There should be an auto generated backup called 'last save overwrite backup.fm' which saves a copy every time you overwrite the single file. Should be in the same folder location as your other save. Worth checking to see if this loads.
