1. I think I never had an in-game son. Not even when I had an 86 seasons career.
2. So is Moscow/Zenit only in the used screenshots (30/31 and 35/36), but not in the most recent version?
3. @anitamui I am using your Philippines file, in combination with other leagues and updates. Do you happen to know if there is a bug around 2035? I am trying to progress in my game, but every few weeks/months my game keeps crashing. Seems solved if I use one of my backupsaves, but after a few days/weeks it is there again.
4. @maxtothemax You asked if I would write about my savegame: I am about to start my 15th season, but my savegame keeps on crahsing. :-( For my hexagon challenge with a twist (use only teams from nations where no team before won any continental prize at all, ever) I loaded the Solomon Islands, Philippines, Malawi, Venezuela, Canada and Finland. I won the OFC CL with Central Coast (Solomon Islands) and got to the semi finals of the AFC CL with Stallion Laguna (Philippines). I won my 5th double (league + cup) in a row, and my 13th league in a row. In the league I am 120 matches unbeaten in the league (= 5 full seasons in a row), but I might have to stop this save due to it being unreliable. I had a lot of fun and this would be a challenge to start again. I don't know if I'll do it with minor nations again, because it is awfully hard to let a club from the Philippines grow and I suspect it will be just as hard in Malawi. So, if I'll do it again, I might chose other nations. For now this very nice savegame is almost certainly coming to an end...
5. @Daveincid Thank you very much for your hard work on this fabulous megapack, David. Enjoy your holiday!
6. In my save there is a newgen player called John Bedia who is at OCSC Academy. Apparently he will move from the academy to it's parent/affiliated club Orlando City SC at 1/1/1900. As his contract is over, but his transfer date never comes, I can neighter buy him, nor offer him a contract. This looks like a bug, but maybe I am missing something obvious here https://i.imgur.com/Tapjco3.png
7. OK, I think I've seen why the Philippines are not promoted to the next round. It's because of Syria having the exact amount of points but a better goal difference than us. Seems fair that the Philippines are not promoted, as they are not 4th, but 5th best (and only the 4 best numbers 2 advance to the next round). But the questions about Japan / North-Korea are still there. Why is Japan competing in the first place, and why is N-K advancing to the next round when they don't deserve that at all. Just because Japan's scores don't count? Or am I missing something?
8. I am in 2032 now. Managing both Stallion Laguna (highest level in the Philippines) and the Philippines national team. I finished 2nd in my group for the World Cup Qualifications in Asia. I am the 4th best nr2 and should've be promoted to the next round, but I am out of the qualification tournament because of the following strange thing: Japan is hostnation for the coming 2034 World Cup, but is in the WC Quals too. As they won every match in their group - and are automaticly in the WC as hosts - the number 2 of this group, North-Korea is promoted to the next round of the WC Quals. But, with only 11 points. That is 7 less then the Philippines. North-Korea is the worst nr2 by far, performing even less good than a lot of number 3 teams. Japan is not promoted, they are just not competing in the next round. So a few questions: Why is Japan in the groupstage of the Asian WC Qualificaitons? Why is North-Korea selected as "winner" of the Japan group? Why is North-Korea not judged by their performance? Why are the Philippines out? First round: Second round group stage Final round I am using the 22.4 database and a lot of extra files, but this seems to be a problem with the World Cup qualification and as far as I know, there is no editor file in use that changes this competition
9. I'm glad we don't write the name of NAC Breda in the Netherlands in its full meaning NAC is a fusion club from 2 older clubs, meaning NOAD ADVENDO COMBINATIE Where NOAD is short for Nooit Opgeven Altijd Doorzettend (Never Give Up, Always Persevere) And ADVENDO is short for Aangenaam Door Vermaak En Nuttig Door Ontspanning (Pleasant By Entertainment And Useful By Relaxation) Combinatie = Combination So it is Nooit Opgeven Altijd Doorgaan Aangenaam Door Vermaak En Nuttig Door Ontspanning Combinatie Breda
10. Thanks! 1: As far as I know teams from Sierra Leone did qualify for the CAF CL in 2017 and 2022 in real life, but when I holiday tested in FM I never saw them participate (tested until 2040) Thanks for asking the researchers! 2: Great! I already can't wait ;-) Have a nice day, Dave!
11. Good to know you're back! I can't start a new save without your files 👍🏻😊 A small question: in FM22, is it possible for clubs in small nations like Sierra Leone and Laos to grow and qualify for their continental Champions Leagues? And one for FM23: will you do edits for continental (regional) leagues too, like the CECAFA Club Cup, Arab Champions League or CONCACAF Champions League and the OFC Champions League? Thanks for all your hard work!
12. @Wolf_pd I found this website: http://www.sscbb.de/text/berlinervereinetreptowkoepenick.html you can select different stadtbezirken hope it helps @Reiver perhaps just naming it BSG Werk für Signal- und Sicherungstechnik Berlin (just as we don't write football club as often as just FC)
13. @Wolf_pd Though I can read Cyrilic, I won't be of much help, as I can only read the letters. but I won't understand most words, unless they sound/look similar to Dutch/German/English/etc. But, if you can find it as ebook/pdf or something like that, Google translate would be a helpful option, perhaps. That being sad, would you add the Cyrillic names to the clubs? Between brackets for example. I.e. Шахтар Донецьк (Shakhtar Donetsk) or Shakhtar Donetsk (Шахтар Донецьк)
14. I know, but with the new youth rating and financial fixes, I hoped teams from these nations would grow too and be able to participate. For example, in real life teams from SL participated in the CAF CL in 2017 and 2022. In FM however, I never saw a SL team compete in the CAF CL when holidaying upto 2040. (with your files from 29 july) This could however be a league specific issue, as you say. Thanks, I'll look into that. 👍🏻
15. Thanks again for your hard work. Is het with your update possible for small nations like Sierra Leone or Laos to qualify for the CAF Champions League in Africa or the AFC Champions League in Asia? (For example, the Philippines and North-Korea do participate in the AFC CL)
16. Perhaps you could contact the author, or look at the big book shops online to see the suggestions at "what other customers bought..." Football Dynamo: Modern Russia and the People's Game is written by Marc Bennetts. Though it focusses on the 1991 oligarch takeover, perhaps he knows about cold war football too. I also found Football in the Land of the Soviets by Carles Viñas.
17. If you have a 1988/1989 point of view, it is close to 1992 when the Champions League started as successor of the Europa Cup 1. Will such changes take place after 4 years, or is the world frozen in the rules of 1988?
18. I read there was a big rivalry between East and West German national team and clubs, but also that there where many East Germans that supported the West German NT, even supporting it in stadiums when the West German NT played matches in Eastern Europe. Could something like that be reflected? Will you do an exact date in time at which everything is as it was, or more a period from WW2 to 1990? i.e. like Saarland who where independent from Germany at some periods of time and in 1935 and 1957 voted to be part of Germany again, or tournaments like the Mitropa Cup, Benelux Friendship Cup and Latin Cup?
19. Is it possible to do a copy paste of a league? I am thinking for years about some kind of league pyramid and want to use some of the quirky leagues that already exist as a template. I like leagues with special rules like the MLS play-offs, the Dutch Keuken Kampioen Dvisie period winners and the relegation play-offs in Bulgaria where even a team in the relegation group can win an European ticket. It would be so much faster and easier if you could use an existing league or cup as a template and paste in into your pyramid or cup tournament and you then only have to specify to which level/league/round the pro/rel links and with which teams. Can something like that be done? Or are there other fast ways to setup a pyramid or tournament?
20. Three small questions: 1. Citizenship: I have Christian Nana Thomert from Cameroon at Stallion Laguna in the Philippines Football League. He is awaiting paperwork to get Philippine citizenship for years now. I really hope he would get his citizenship. Is there anything I can do to speed up this progress, or to ask him to do this? 2. I have downloaded some training schedules. Can I specify which schedule is used when, without doing this every time? Like have 2 or 3 schedules for my 1st team and 2 or 3 for my youth and have them automaticly active for different scenarios, like pre-season, weeks with 1 match, weeks with 2 matches, or other situations? 3. I made a shortlist in Genie Scout, which is saved as an .slf file, but I am not able to import it. It is no problem to import tactics. What am I doing wrong? I can change it in FMRTE to a .fmf file so that it can be imported. Are .slf files not working anymore?
