  1. Hope you manage to do that! As it is all data, and I've even seen/heard people using excel to edit the game, there must be lots of things that can be scraped and used. Some time ago I submitted an idea to get more historical facts from the savegame. Like the career top goalscorers for all teams that I managed, the club that I bought most players from, or the manager that won the most matches vs my teams, etc Somewhere deep down FM is counting all those things, but we only see the current record holders, or sometimes the one in your current team that is the best right now, but not the players that are at the 2nd/3rd place and beyond. My idea is under review, but I don't know how long such a thing takes, or if they consider making it available. But somewhere inside our savegames all this information is already there. As all players have ID's and those ID's can be shown ingame and in third party tools, I think it is possible.
  2. That would be fabulous if something like that work. The pictures you create are marvellous too!
  3. Would be nice if you could just load your save, i.e. like in Genie Scout, search for newgens, and drag and drop corresponding pictures, or click on automatic find pictures suggestions.
  4. So that only is a fairly easy case of renaming a picture with an ID and then reloading the skin, if I'm correct. As everything in FM is just a bunch of data, wouldn't it be possible to read the players etnicity information, or the colour of the newgen picture?
  5. Looks great! So will this be something that can be automaticly applied to the youth intake? Or does this always have to be a manual addtion?
  6. I haven't done that. I just bought FM23 2 days ago and am still searching the forums for interesting editor files.
  7. That's an interesting mod. I didn't know the original CM did not had real competiton formats.
  8. For me, lower league testing is helpful. So far, in FM 22, I played in South Korea, Philippines, Afghanistan and the Solomon Islands, for example, and in FM 18 I started in the lower levels of Romania. So, maybe not as this is called PSG but this one would be a good option for my wishes?
  9. @knap , I like a 1-tactic-fits-all kind of solution, where I can start somewhere down in the lower leagues of Switzerland or Kenya and work my way up to Ajax, Liverpool and the Germany NT, for example. What kind of solid defence, beautiful atticking tactic can I use for that? I really like the Johan Cruijff, Ajax-style of play with wingers, and attacking fullbacks, but I'm open to other attractive styles as well.
  10. OK, thanks! I would probably have to use teams from multiple continents for some cups, so that would mean creating regional champions leagues that end up on the world tab.
  11. Sounds very good and interesting as always @Wolf_pd Keep up the good work 😊 One question: in the beginning of this project you talked about shifting continents, as you have one left because of N-A and S-A merging. Is it technically possible to use less or more than 6 continents? Or is there for example a workaround for this to setup your continental cups a bit differently? I was thinking about 8 continents for my own project. Or, if it is 6, then to create just 8 regional Champions Cups, 8 regional Cup Winners Cups, etc.
  12. @Wolf_pd That's not what I want. Then for my own projects I'll try to have the same amount of nations. To return to your question about competition setups, I also like the mixture of teams that play in different nations. Like on the Welsh/English border, Monaco in Ligue 1, Reunion teams in Coupe de France, Canadian teams in the MLS, etc. So maybe you could add some cross-border teams/leagues/cups too
  13. @Reiver @Wolf_pd So as long as I edit the competitons, everything works, otherwise I need to have the amount of the vanilla database. What happens with the coëfficients in Europe and Asia if you edit those competitons? Will they still function normally?
  14. @Wolf_pd do you happen to know what amounts of nations and or leagues the base game expects for continental and international matches, per continent? Of doesn't it make a real difference when you start from scratch? (Like in Euro Qualifiers, Champions League preliminary rounds, etc)
  15. Exactly. Variation is key. I don't like every play-off system, but in FM it is essential to have all kinds of leagues. I really like the regonal continental cups too. I am managing Seongnam in South-Korea right now, where I can also play in an East Asian Club Champions Cup. I haven't managed there yet, but I want to play in Saudi Arabia and win 3 continental competitions in a season (AFC CL, Arab CL and GCC CL) and the league, King Cup, Super cup (and the now defeunct Saudi Egypt Super Cup and Crown Pince Cup). If you add the Fifa World Club Cup, you can win 9 things in a year.
  16. What I like is the quirkyness and differences in competition formats all around the world. Like the MLS with its play-offs, the Dutch KKD with the period champions; Afghanistan with only 2 groups of each 3 teams (6 matches) and then a semi final (one match) and final (one match); Bulgaria where the teams in the relegation playoffs still can manage to win an European ticket; there is a New Zealand league on these forums with 30+ teams who only play eachother once. If I plan to do a long term save it is nice to have such different league setups available. To have a balanced and interesting world, its important to have simple straightforward 18/20 clubs home and away style leagues too. Sometimes it is nice to have big leagues with lots of teams, sometimes it is nice to have only 8 teams in the league. If you recreate continental competitions from scratch too, a Champions League with a normal 8 groups groupphase and then a knockoutphase would be nice to have. I also like the style of the AFC Champions League where the compeition is divided between an East Asian part and a West Asian part. The final is played between the winners of the east and west parts of the cup. This is due to distances and traveling costs of course, but in your world you can do what you like. If you create a intercontinental supercup I am more interested to play a cup that is held every year with only the really best teams from their respective continents. In addition all kinds of other continents could exist, but a bit less important.
  17. That is a FM thing. Only the big 20 European teams and teams from playable leagues can win EC1 and EC2. For all other teams in unplayable leagues goes that they can only win as long they have a manager. As soon as he retires or get sacked the team becomes inactive. Only to become active again if its reputation has grown enough.
  18. Indeed, and the writings of the world you're shaping are enough for the rest.
