It's pretty tight between the top 4 in the league, and we barely scraped through to the Conference League knockouts. We drew with Rosenborg, and then Derry flogged Schalke 3-0 away, but we still went through.

Not the greatest of intake previews for my first season.

So apparently we're good enough to beat Vllaznia, but we lose to a team in the relegation playoff places. Makes perfect sense. But at least we're top on goal difference.

As soon as we were knocked out of the cup, we rediscovered our form. It's still pretty tight at the top, but if we win our game in hand we can put some small distance between us and Vllaznia. After a great performance against Rapid Wien in the Conference League, we get a favourable draw in 2067 Carabao Cup champions Shrewsbury, currently dead last in the Premier League. It's ours to lose.

Not too bad really, we were told that it was going to be terrible and it's not. We have 5 players we can sign based on PA, and plenty of other guys with positive personalities that are going to be brought in as well. I don't think I've ever had someone as short as 4'11" either!

It's still incredibly tight between the top 3. These next 7 games are must win. Meanwhile in Europe, we got past Shrewsbury with a little more difficulty than I thought, but we're through to play Hajduk Split in the last 8, another winnable tie in my opinion.

We're really hitting our form at the right time, as Vllaznia appear to have dropped out of the race, and there's a gap between us and Skenderbreu. Turning to Europe, we beat Hajduk comfortably and now we come face to face with my previous club Tuzla City for a place in the final, one season after I left. We have the edge over them going into the home leg, and winning that will equal an achievement I've only done once in this save: a European final in my debut season.

Shrewsbury Town in Europe???

They've actually been there twice! They also won the Carabao Cup in 2057, and also reached the second knockout round of the Conference League. Scunthorpe have also played in Europe after winning the 2062 FA Cup, making the last 16 of the Europa League the following season. Apart from that there haven't been any really weird teams, excet maybe Reading and QPR qualifying through the league. Maybe Norwich as well?

Somehow, we won the Conference League! Despite the lack of possession, our xG was 1.88 to their 0.59, so we probably deserved it. We also ran away with the league in the end, and the 4-0 thrashing of Skenderbreu was satisfying. This is easily the most successful start I've had to a job in this save!

Preseason 2068

A loooong preseason, but a near flawless one. We've qualified for the Champions League groups, and won the Albanian Super Cup over our biggest rivals to gain the early psychological edge.

0f505b411d3cd42bf5b5d1ed4f6626fa.png

We've definitely got one of the hardest draws in the tournament, which is frustrating, but hopefully we can get some points and aim for 3rd.

We were once again busy this preseason recruiting some solid Albanians. We definitely overpaid for Mangano, but at 21 he's young and a current international, and better yet, he's not at Vllaznia anymore. Aside from Kapllani and Cuculi who are backups, the rest will play an active role in the first team, wherever their attributes let them. But at this stage the plan is for Berner to play striker, Krizmanic to resume his role at RWB, Curri at CB, and Mangano & Reinert at CM.

Vllaznia brought us back to earth with a bang, but we're ahead as we go into the new year. We also beat Atalanta away, moving us into 2nd and into the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time!

There are some great ties here already. Man City v Barcelona, PSG v Inter, and it's good to see Vilnius and Sarajevo through as well. As for our tie, I like my chances against Dortmund, but it won't be easy. We'll probably get flogged. But the progress is being made.

Your win in the ECL last season and now in the knockouts of the CL might means Albania is a short stay

Maybe! I think the performances of the other teams need to step up for that to happen though, this is not something we can do on our own.

Interesting also to see three Scottish teams in the UCL group stage. It is really amazing how the football world changed in your save. Even small European countries where you have never played show impressive results.

Good luck in your career!

Once again, my staff get this wrong in calling it a mediocre intake. We sign 12 players for their PA and 2 for their personalities, so 14 all up. We also get a promising striker, and he looks great straight away.

Preseason 2069

A good preseason, but a few losses there. There's no shame in losing to Cittadella as I found out, they're the current Serie A runners up. What's worrying is the loss to Vllaznia. It was only 1-0, but we were dominated. I hope that's not the story for the rest of the season. I forgot to screenshot the group stage draw, but we're with Liverpool, Lotte and Charleroi. I'm expecting to get at least 3rd, and Liverpool should be untouchable. Two Irish teams are in the CL groups (Wexford and Derry) but that's the only real thing of note.

At the halfway point we're 11 points clear, and despite a great 3-0 win over Lotte Charleroi put in a phenomenal effort against Liverpool to draw 3-3 with them and send us into the Europa League, where we will face Nice. Not the easiest of teams to get first up, but if we beat them that's one less difficult team in the comp.

A perfect month, and the lead has stretched out to 16 points. If we win out game in hand, that will probably out us out of reach. In continental football we had a strong win over Nice, and now play St. Mirren, a team we lost to on penalties 3 years ago in a Champions League playoff. I'm pretty optimistic about it.

Well, once again it's not mediocre, as it's quite a deep intake. We also pick up another 5* prospect rated as promising, and he already looks outstanding! He'll have to be retrained though. Things are looking good in the academy.

We lost our last league game of the month, but we're still comfortably ahead. The most important thing is that we beat St. Mirren, and through to the last 8 where we play Lithuanian side Suduva. I think we're in a position to beat them too.

We've wrapped up our third straight league title with 4 games to go, and more importantly we're in the semis of the Europa League against Porto. Winnable? Maybe. But an Albanian team in the last 4 is still a great sight to see.

A bit of an anticlimactic end to the season, but we had three first team players out injured for the final, we were 0 for 8 (now 0 for 9) against Lyon and it was played at their home ground. The odds were most definitely against us, but we made the final. Thing are only going to get better.

Although to be fair, Albania were defending a lot of points, as one team made the quarter finals of the Conference League and another to the semis. We did our best to limit the damage, but it wasn't enough.

2 Albanian teams meeting in the qualifying rounds of the Conference League seems wrong.  Later stages would be fine but not the qualifiers

I think it may have been because one of them dropped down from the Europa League, but I still agree with you!

It's too big to send (over 500MB) and for whatever reason it's not letting me compress it into a small enough size to send :(

Preseason 2070

A shorter preseason than what we're used to, but no less successful. We dismantled Fenerbahce to get into the CL groups once more.

I like this group a lot. Ajaz are probably the weakest top seed we could get, maybe apart from Cova de Piadade. Dortmund are beatable, but probably not by us, and Schifflange's downfall after I left is likely to continue at my hand. It's pretty cool to see 2 Lithuanian teams in the groups for what I believe is the first time.

All of these guys are backups. I think we've hit a wall in terms of how much we can improve our team. We need to increase our rep to get some of those bigger Albanian players abroad. But I guess it just goes to show how strong this squad has become.

Not much has changed in Turkey from what I can see, the last team to win the Superlig not named Galatasaray or Fenerbahce was Antalyaspor, who won it 23 years ago. It looks like Besiktas have completely dropped off the face of the earth as well, which is surprising.

Hey nice read there! Can you help me out?

About the formula you are using. I want to use this player as a MEZ on Attack:

https://gyazo.com/94b42c3e614421f7a85b3bb77af00d1a

Sum of Key Attributes: 95

Sum of Prefferable: 88 (*0.66)?

Total Number: 16 (*5)?

If all attributes were17 (*16) = 272 ?

And multiply * 100?

Overall = 35.19 (Made it right)?

Hi there!

That's not quite right, let me try and help:

((Sum of Key Attributes + (0.66 * Sum of Preferable)) / Total Number * 5) / 70.55 * 100

Which is ((95 + (0.66 * 88)) / 16* 5) / 70.55 * 100

Which should give you a value of 67.81 :) Decent player for Bradford PA!

OK, got most of it! How did you come up with 70.55 though?

PS: Decent for BPA you say? Maybe in Vanarama but not in League 1 where I'm now....He is a sub!

70.55 is the value it would be if all the attributes were 17 (what I would call the "perfect" player). I then divide the initial number by that amount and then *100 to get the rating out of 100.

All attributes (key + prefferables) are 16. So 16*17=272 right?

Initial number is...?

How do you get the value to calculate the score for '17' if the formula relies on knowing this number in the first place?
