Makoto Nakamura
Here we go again. Champions League Final time and our starting line-up has 7 of the 11 players who started last seasons final. Our best striker Antonio Fernando is on the bench since he hates big games....which explains why he was terrible in the final last season.

Get in! I have one year left on my contract so I'm in 2 minds whether to resign on a massive high and focus on taking Portugal to the 2030 World Cup held in neighbouring Spain or to stay on and honour my contract and play the European Super Cup and in the Club World Cup in December. Makoto Nakamura
Wait what? Why resign? Because of the budgets, Champions League winners and the highest my transfer budget could push was £8m which is not enough to improve at all so I'm out. Anyway, Portugal. I forgot to update when the March fixtures were played but it will be nigh on impossible for us to not qualify.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2029 2 away games against the countries who are our closest competition, still 2 very easy wins though.

Makoto Nakamura
November 2029 With qualification assured the lads really took it easy on Azerbaijan. I would have liked for them to have scored more but oh well, we're also the 2nd best country in the world now, only behind Italy. Next up is he World Cup draw. Makoto Nakamura
Matchday 1 Matchday 2 Matchday 3 Some big results already with Brazil and Argentina taking big wins whilst hosts Spain had to come from behind to draw 2-2 against Morocco. Makoto Nakamura
Goal! A cross from Jose Alves and Iamussa Ba strikes it on his right foot from 8 yards and into the back of the net, deadlock finally broken! It's taken a while but Ba get's his 2nd and it's a very much deserved goal. We really did dominate Tunisia but they held us to just the 2 goals which means after one game Greece are ahead of us. Makoto Nakamura
Matchday 5 Matchday 6 Matchday 7 Matchday 8 Some big wins here! The Netherlands beating South Korea 6-1, Russia beating Iran 7-1 after being a goal down inside 15 minutes and then Mexico and Ivory Coast picking up a point against Brazil and Argentina respectively. Makoto Nakamura
Here's how we line up for game 2, F.Teixeira is in for A.Sousa, E.Raposo is in for J.Alves and M.Lopes is also switched with P.Fernandes.
Makoto Nakamura
A much more equal game but again we haven't made the most of our chances, Ba is having a particularly poor game, if he doesn't improve early on in the 2nd half then he'll definitely be subbed. Makoto Nakamura
Gutted! A cross from Handakas and Stade de Reims Giannis Kontoes heads it into the far corner. (Is he one of yours @ManUtd1? :D) Handakas and Kontoes again And now Greece get an 86th minute penalty to make it 3-0! Kontoes for the hat-trick... Pablo saves! We couldn't stop Greece and they become the first team to qualify for the Second Round of the World Cup.

Makoto Nakamura
Matchday 10 Matchday 11 Matchday 12 Matchday 13 England lost to Ireland, Scotland lose again, Spain barely see off 10-man Turkey and 3 goals inside 30 minutes was enough to see the Ivory Coast easily beat Jamaica 4-1. Makoto Nakamura
And the line-up for the final game, we need at least a draw to go through to the Second Round.
Makoto Nakamura
Goal! Ba and Portugal's 3rd goal of the tournament! Another dominant performance, we're barraging their goal just looking for more goals but we've been unsuccessful thus far, I've been forced to make a change as Adelcio Silva may have an ankle injury and I didn't want to risk keeping him on the pitch. In the other match in the group Greece are leading Tunisia 1-0.
Makoto Nakamura
2-0 and it's not Ba! It stayed 2-0 but all that matters is that we qualified for the next round.
