The first club to offer an amaeteur contract was FK Podgorica

http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/will2909/Hitchhikers%20Guide%20to%20FM/PodgoricaOffer.png[/img]"]PodgoricaOffer.png

They play in the Montenegrin 3rd Divsion Central or what is otherwise known as 3.CFL Centralni.

They are predicted 10th out of 10th so no pressure really and I can bring in whoever will improve the squad and will accept a amateur contract.

Thanks

FK Podgorica - 2010/11 - Pre-Season

Budgets

Transfer - N/A

Wage - N/A

Transfers-So far I have signed 23 players, mainly due to the star rating on the ass man's team report keep changing.By the time I have finished signing players,it will probably be nearer 40 but with it being an amateur team,I don't have to pay wages so there is one upside to everything.

Competition Requirements

3.CFL Centralni - Learn from experience of partcipation - My aim is to finish in the top 6

Montenegrin Cup - Learn from experience of partcipation - Not to get hammered (been drawn against a 2nd Tier team)

Key Players

Marko Raicevic - GK - Picked up on a free transfer after being scouted in the Montenegrin Trial Day team.Quite surprised he signed for us as he is much better then the other keepers and looks like he can play at a higher level. Will be our 1st choice keeper for the season.

Lazar Djuricanin - DL - Another shock signing as I thought he would have been picked up by a higher placed team.He was also picked up after being scouted in the Trial Day Team.He is the best defender in the team but that is not really saying alot as he is head and shoulders above the rest.

Amar Sabanadzovic - ML/AML - He is the pick of the midfielders which is alot closer in deciding as Midfield only has one weak position.Still quite young but he will be involved alot as I play with attacking wingers so he will be able to contribute quite abit with the way I play. Also picked up after scouting the Montenegrin Trial Day team, again he could have the ability of playing for a bigger club but happy to have him here.

Milos Brzakovic - ST - One half on the new striking partnership and is the only Serbian in the team.He is rated slightly less then his new parnter but stll is able to do a job at this level. He can finish which is what I want him to do.Also picked up from the Montenegrin Trial Day team where he was against his new partner. Happy with this signing and I hope he can net around 10 goals this season.

Aleksandar Vujacic - ST - The other half of the striking partnership,he can also finish and they both scored in the one friendly where they played together.I'm hoping for around 10 goals from him as well.He was picked up from the Mentenegrin Trial Day team like the rest of them so it was worth scouting afterall. He is a leading star at this level so we will see how he gets on.

Overview

I am happy with the way pre-season has gone,I may have signed too many players but that's my ass man's fault as the star rating in team report kept changing so at least I know I have good backup in the team.I want to finish in the top 6 and build from there as only top place gets anything and that is a place in the promotion playoff.I am not bothered about the cup as I am against higher opposition who should give us a hammering based on the quality of players.

With regards to players,if they start whining then I will release them seeing as I won't have to pay them off!

FK Podgorica - 2010/11 - End of Season

Final Transfers 1 - Final Transfers 2 - A lot of players came in to stregthen the team, the final number came to 39 in total but with 16 leaving,it reduced the number to a 23 player difference. This gave us good strength in depth as well as a strong first XI to help meet my expectations.

Competitions

3.CFL Centralni - Table - Promotion Playoff - Stunned at how well we performed throughout the season so I am very happy to have won the league especially with going unbeaten in the Regional League. We won the league on matchday 17 when we beat 2nd place Ribnica 4-1 before drawing 0-0 with Crvena Stijena in the last game so it was a tough finish. As the winners we went into a Promotion Playoff with Tekstilac (16-2-0 Record) and Arsenal Tivatv (13-2-1 record). We lost our 1st game 2-1 toTekstilac,I was disappointed with the way the match went as we were screwed over by the ref.We beat Arsenal Tivatv in what was revenge for beating us in the cup to gain promotion to the Second League!!!

Montenegrin Cup - 2nd Round - I am happy we got further then we expected as we beat 2nd League side Ibar but I am disappointed we went out to Arsenal Tivatv like we did. They were in the same tier as us so I expected a closer game so was kind of disappointed with what happened.

Players,Stats and Awards

Milos Brzakovic was top scorer hitting 10 goals in 20 games. He was one of the key players I picked out in Pre-Season and he lived up to what I had hoped for as he hit the 10 goals as I hoped for.

Branko Vukovic topped the assist chart with 12 in 19 games. He was the most consistant performer in the team throughout the season and was rightly awarded Fans Player of the Year for his hard work.He averaged at 7.34 from the 19 games.

Overview

I am ecstatic with the way the season panned out as I was expecting to be around mid-table but we played without any real trouble untill we hit the promotion playoff.I did deserve to win the league as our final two games were against 3rd and 2nd so it wasn't a easy run in to secure the title.I was pleased we got through a round in the cup as we were up against a tier 2 side in the first round so was pleased to win that even though we were dominated.

The club has decided to go Semi-Pro which is a needed step up as I hope it will be more appealing to any potential players as I want to at least survive relegation by any means possible.Whereas the club is Semi-Pro,I am still on a amaeteur contract to help with the wages at the club as I expect we won't have a great deal of budget to play with.

FK Podgorica - 2011/12 - Pre-Season

Budgets

Transfer - £0

Wage - £0 - Currently Spending £243

Transfers - The players who have come in are mainly better players then what we have in defence and in midfield so I'm happy with the incoming. With regards to the outgoings,I didn't need them as they were some of the lowest rated in the entire team.

Competition Requirements - My aim is in metallics.

Second League - Battle bravely against relegation - Avoid Relegation

Montenegrin Cup - Learn from experience of partcipation - 2nd Round

Key Players

Marko Raicevic - GK - He was first choice last season and will be first choice this season. He made himself known last season with vital saves and heroic performances.I hope he is abe to carry on the brilliant form into the new season.

Milutin Markovic - DR/DC - Was bought in last season just after the season began but spent nearly the whole season injured.I'm hoping his injuries problem are clear as he is the best defender we have this season so will be hoping for big performances from him.

Branko Simic - MC - The best midfielder I have and that is not saying much,he underperformed last season so I will need him to up his effort. The main problem is his consistency as when he plays well,he will play really well and when he plays bad,he's terrible.I have bought similar quality midfielders in to try and relieve the pressure on him.

Krsto Perovic - ST - One of the older players in the team. The scouts picked him up during last season and couldn't say no.He finished last season with 9 in 14 but was injured for a while after a nasty tackle. He is rated as the best player in the team so I will be looking at him to fire us to safety.

Overview

I have done what I possibly could during pre-season.I have strengthened the team in the vital areas as well as get the scouts going out to see if they can find any free transfers who will add to the team.I set up four pre-season friendlies against top flight teams in which we won one and lost the other three. All I can hope for is a bit of luck as I'm not too confident about surviving.

I have a slight concern regarding the chairman,we went semi-pro but was not offered a new contract and now I find out he is looking to leave so I am hoping that if we do go through a takeover that the new chairman will keep me on as manager!

In all my other saves I have played on FM11,I have never had a tycoon takeover before!

EDIT:I still won't have a tycoon takeover,it was a Signaporean tycoon but he decided to withdraw from talks. It would have been good though as he promised £9 million for transfers and to improve the facilities. Now he is looking at investing in a different club!

FK Podgorica - 2011/12 - End of Season

Final Transfers - Let a lot go as they were unhappy and they were on amaeteur contracts so it cost nothing to release. The players who came in were to stregthen the defence and midfield as that was our weakest as I was aiming to avoid relegation.

Competitions

Second League - Table - Playoff Leg 1 - Leg 2 - I am delighted with the way the league panned out although our away form was very dodgy at times but our home form was a contributing factor to where we finished. We were always around the playoff places throughout the whole season and we never came close to the relegation places whereas we were never close to Jedinstvo. We had our 3rd place cemented with one game to go as all the other teams played before us and Berane lost while Zabjelo drew.In the playoffs we were drawn against Decic who finished 10th in the first league. We were outplayed in both matches,we were lucky to draw in the first game as we were down to ten when we equalized then held on.The 2nd leg,I decided to play more defensively and it nearly backfired as we were two goals down before a very late flourish gave us victory on away goals to give us our 2nd successive promotion.

Montenegrin Cup - 3rd Round - It was a decent performance in the cup.We beat Polimlje (3rd tier) 3-1 on the first round and edged past OFK Bar (1st League) 2-1 in which was a gutsy performance in which we were outplayed. In the 3rd round we were against the big boys of Rudar,we were never at the races as they fully dominated so I am more then grateful that we only lost 2-0 as I know it could have been much worse.

Players,Stats and Awards

Krsto Perovic was top scorer hitting 12 in 26.I am happy he rejected a contract from another club to stay with us,he repaid us by hitting all 12 of his goals in the league and showed his experience was vital to the team.

Branko Vukovic topped the assist chart with 10 but also chipped in with 6 goals. He is a very consistant performer and had no problems with upping his standard to compete at Second League level.Once again he deserved Fans Player of the Year.

Overview

I am stunned with what we achieved this season as we outdid ourselves in everyway possible. With what I noticed we did really well against the bigger clubs whereas we probably dropped silly points against the lower sides which cost us 2nd place but I'm really happy to get promoted especially with securing the away goal victory against Decic.

For every up,there is a down and in this case, the down is at the bottom of a crater. We finally had a takeover at the third time of asking which this time it was a consortium. After the wonderful season we just had,the new chairman then does this......

I am so ****** off  I now wish nothing but pain and misery on Podgorica.Whoever takes over me.....I hope he fails  There is only one job available at the moment which is at Decic but I have no intention of staying in Montenegro.......This also happens to be my first sacking on FM11

I knew about it but I thought because I did so well that I'd be kept on,I guess he had other ideas though. It makes the career more interesting as even I don't know where I will end up next :D

There was rumours but I actually ignored them as I was concentrating on the end of the season and I thought they'd keep me as I got promotion....guess not though as there always has to be an exception and in this case it just happened to be me :p

They play in the Chinese Super League but i've been waiting just over five months for any successful application so I will be accepting as I've been bored seeing application after application rejected!

The Chinese football season is over and this is how they finished up.

They slightly underachieved as they were expected to finish in 6th but they do have a strong squad so it's just have a look at what I've and what can be improved as I do have quite a bit of time before the new season gets under way,we also have what are described as Excellent youth prospects so it looks like we do have strength in depth.

Just read the whole lot BWG - firstly great start with Podgorica. Very very harsh dismissal but perhaps that's the best way to get out of Montenegro! Got to be pleased to walk straight into a cup final :D. Well done on winning it

Very interesting so far, scandalous about your sacking, but Chinese Super League isn't too bad a step, plus winning a trophy after just 1 game is excellent, makes the one time I got promotion at Verona after just 3 games seem pathetic.

Just finished reading the whole bit. Tough break on the sacking, especially since it wasn't deserved. Although China looks to be interesting! Cheers to Asia! :)

rancer890 - Thanks, its great to be back in Asia.I'll have fun while trying my best in the Asian CL :D

iacovone - Thanks! It was a very harsh sacking but it happens sometimes.Really pleased with walking into the final and winning it especially with Shandong winning the league as well!!

AK22 - Least the start of my career hasn't been boring :p thanks

deltablue - Thanks, was quite a big step so it caught me by surprise.I was expecting a smaller club to come in for me.3 games for promotion is still really good though

cerud - It was but I'm in a better place now.My career always seems to takeoff in Asia so I am happy to come back here especially if it helps boost my reputation!

Budgets

Transfer - £487,000

Wage - £27,000 p/w - Currently spending £27,575 p/w

Transfers - I've not really done much other then add a bit of depth to the team so we suffer too much from any potential injury crisis. The one money signing is a improvment to my RB position but he actually cost £475,000 with the rest being add ons based on international appearances and scoring 50 goals for the club.I am happy with the transfers that have been made.

Competition Requirements - My aim is in itallics.

Super League - Mid-Table - Top Four

Asian CL - Learn from experience of participation - Second Round

Chinese Cup - Quarter Finals - Quarter Finals

Key Players

Yang Cheng - GK - A solid keeper and our number one.He is the type of player you never hear about but will always put in high standard performances,he is good enough for the China NT but if he can continue with his performances then I'm sure he can get back into it.

Tao Yongqiang - DL - One of the excellent youth prospects at the club.He is rated at 5* PA so does have a bright future indeed. He came through the youth team at 15 so it will be his 2nd season here.Didn't play last season but I was going to give him some game time for the final but he was injured.I will be using him as my 1st choice DL to see if first team action will help benefit his growth.I'll eat my hat if he is not capped by the u21s by the end of the year!

Nicolas Martinez - MC/AMC - Picked him up on a free transfer at the end of last season. He is better then the other players we had who played at MC.He is rated as the best player in the team as he is rated at 4* CA.He is has abover average flair and creativity so I will be hoping he is able to make a fair contribution as he is the highest paid player at the club.

Chen Zhizhao - MR/AMR - He is marginally the better winger of the team but his attitude is much better as he is less disruptive. He has high pace and acceleration as well as above average crossing and dribbling. With those four stats combined together he can make an impact as using the wing is one of my key parts to my tactics. He can finish as well so will chip in with a few goals.Looking at his injury record,he looks like he can play consistently as he has had one injury which happened in 2011!

Emmanuel Kiaku - ST/AMC - Another player bought in by the previous manager who seemed to have a knack of getting in hot prospects. He is another player who is rated at 5* PA and is the top rated striker at the club and he is only 19!I've liked what I have seen of him during pre-season but my problem is that I may be relying on him to heavily as the next best striker is 16!He knows how to finish and can only get better!

Overview

I am pleased with how everything has gone so far and I feel that I should be able to meet my expectations of what I want for the season. The majority of the squad is under 30 so they will have a few years of playing together. The club also has good youth facilites so I would not be surprised to see the best Chinese Player to come from here. The other plus to come out of joining Changchun is the stadium as it holds 31200 so we will be able to bring the money in if we can fill it.

With regards to the Asian Champions League,we have been drawn against Melbourne Heart,S-Pulse and Ulsan. With this group,I feel second is more then achievable. We will need to play at 100% to have a chance though as it is the one of two groups whaich have a Australian team,Chinese team,Japanese team and South Korean team but mine is tougher. The other being Shandong,Seoul,Gamba and Central Coast Mariners.

A bit of gloating now.....Podgorica are bottom of the First League with six games to go and need 7 points for survival without a playoff.Guess I could have done a better job :p

Transfers - Not really much done as I replaced the weaker team members of the first XI to help give us a ahot at qualifying for the Asian CL by league position.I did what I could even if I did overpay on the Li Jianbin deal. Those who left the club had no future under me except for Godfrey Myate who was sold over my head.He had a future as he is 19 and was developing quite well and would have been a first team player if I did not have someone who is currently better playing ahead of him.

Competitions

Super League - Table - Wow that was very close.I knew the team had under achieved last season and I put that straight as we turned into over achievers.I don't think the top two could have been any tighter as from the half way point of the season,it was just and Beijing in the title fight. We both hit a stick patch at the end of the season where we only won 1 and drew 3 in the last four games whereas Beijing won 1, drew 2 and lost 1 which gave us the title on the last day!I was not really bothered by how many goals conceded as my tactics focus on attack so I have no care weather the game finishes 1-0 or 4-3 as long as I'm on the winning team. With the title being won,we also get another crack at the Asian CL as well as playing the All Star game at the end of the season!

Asian CL - Runner-Up - We got through a tough group with a record of 2-3-1 which meant we finished 2nd in the group. We drawn against Seoul in the 2nd round where we had luck on our side as we won 2-1 even though we only had two shots on target! The quarter finals saw us against Bunyodkor Toshkent in which we went through 7-4 on agg which saw the game 4-4 on agg before we scored three goals in extra time!We were up against Al-Ahli in the semi finals and did not have any real trouble with them as we went through 5-2 on agg.We were no real match for Al-Ittihad in the final as they were the stronger team and had more experience then our younger team so maybe next year will be our year but I am very proud of what we achieved in the Asian CL run.

Chinese Cup - Winners - We got to the final with no real problems and even knocking in at least three goals a match with one exception (1-0 defeat in semi final second leg,1st leg we won 7-1!)This was a final of the top two league teams who had both been going through a bad spell of late. The first half saw both sides being nervous so I took the pressure off my team and was rewarded with the best football I had seen for about two months! In the end it was quite a victory that we did deserve to give us a 2nd successive cup!

All Star Game - Winners - This was probably one of the easiest games of the season we had and was the best way to the end of the season after a disappointing spell. The game was as good as over before half time with goals from Mihajlov,Kiaku and Zhizhao.Kiaku would get a 2nd to complete the scoring. We were that dominant,it could have been 6 or 7 which would have been a fair result.

Player's,Stats and Awards

I won Manager of the Year

Shi Yuan was the clubs top scorer hitting 25 goals in 43 appearances in his first full season. He has been that impressive,he is currently attracting interest from Napoli,Sporting Lisbon and Bayern Munich. He has a very bright future and I want to keep him here till at least I leave. For his high standard performances,he was awarded with Young Player of the Year.

Du Zhenyu topped the assist chart with a very impressive 19 but also helped with chipping in with 11 goals. He played his role to perfection in the AML position as I consider the wing important to my tactics.

Abdulla Abdo won Foreign Player of the Year in which he did really well as he spent most of the season playing out of his natural position (AMR).He was being played at MC as we lack any real quality in that position. He did whine about wanting to move to a bigger club which is understandable. He performed very well with everything he did so he deserved the award, was very impressed with 14 goals and 12 assists from his 37 games.

Overview

Was a good first season in charge of Changchun although I was disappointed with the way the ending went.We completed a domestic treble although we drew our last three games in the league which I am pleased that Beijing struggled just as much.We have a young squad so they can only get better so we will probably have a better view of what they are truly capable of next season.

No intention of leaving yet as my contract is up in 2015 and I want the Asian Champions League before I even consider leaving. It can be done with Changchun as they have fairly good finances and good set up when it comes down to facilities.I only need to strengthen the midfield and defence and we should be able to win the Asian Champions League next season!

Budgets

Transfer - £2,170,000

Wage - £37,500 p/w - Currently spending £30,811 p/w

Transfers - I was given quite a big transfer budget due to the profit we made last season. So with this budget,I have strengthened my defence and midfield with every intent of winning the Asian Champions League.I have also bought a backup striker (Jiang Ning) in to give a bit more strength up front.

Competition Requirements - My aim is in itallics.

Super League - Continental Qualification through league position - Title Challenge

Asian CL - Learn from experience of participation - Semi Final

Chinese Cup - Semi Finals - Reach the Final

Pan Pacific Championship - Don't Care - Reach the Final

Key Players

Yang Cheng - GK - Didn't do too bad last season considering the constant changing of the defence due to injuries and suspensions which often left him exposed. With only being 28,he still has up to 9 years left in him as a keeper. He was excellent in the Asian Champions League as we were often the underdog and outplayed but he kept us in it.I hope he can continue his form in the new season.

Tao Yongqiang - DL - Defence is a tough one to call for who is the best as they were all rated at 3* so I have gone with Tao Yongqiang as he has the most potential. He played really well last season although he did miss a bit of the season due to the u20 World Cup.He had an exceptional season as he averaged at 7.22 from 33 appearances.I am hoping for more of the same from him this season.

Nicolas Martinez - MC/AMC - The only thing which surprised me about him last season was that he only got one booking as he did concede 24 fouls which half should have been bookings which shows his tackling was almost Paul Scholes like!!He had a solid season in the more defensive MC role and was always at the heart of creating attacking moves. We did miss him when he was injured which showed that I needed a backup as he is was difficult to replace.

Emmanuel Kiaku - ST - Is rated as the best player in the team,he formed a stunning striking partnership with Shi Yuan.Kiaku hit 18 goals in 40 apps and is still improving.I am hoping he can hit around the 20 mark this season but will be rotated more so he can rest more.Portugese side Leixoes are after him but I have no intention of selling him as he is a vital piece of the jigsaw to fire us to success.

Shi Yuan - I had to put him in as he had a simply stunning first season at the club.He will be staying here at all costs as he was our top scorer last season, was hardly injured and formed a deadly parntership with Kiaku.Even his u21 strike rate is impressive as he even scored 2 against Chile in the u20 World Cup.If he can continue his improvment then I don't see why that he couldn't gate crash the full Chinese Team! Will be hoping for more of the same from him as my forwards will be key to any success.

Overview

I am really hapy with what I got done in pre-season.We have alot more strength in depth to cover injuries and suspensions unless there is a major crisis.I will be looking at going all out for the Asian Champions League win.I have a contract till 2015 but will renew it if I don't win the Asian CL as I know I can do it with this team.I have strengthened the areas which I needed to so I am all set for the upcoming season.

The Asian Champions League as drawn me against Jeonbuk,Sanfrecce and unfortunately (for the Aussie Side) Melbourne Heart who I dismantled 6-0 in our first game last season.I am quite confident I can get it done this season as this is a slightly easier group. Not bothered about the other cups but I need to at least meet the bords expectations otherwise I might lose my untouchable status. The league will probably go down to the wire again as it will probably be us and Beijing as well as we seem to be the only teams who have done some major strengthening!

Asia always seems to be the start of my rise to fame!I will do the honorable thing and see my contract out which ends December 2015 if I have the Asian Champions League won.If I don't then I will keep extending my contract till I do have it won :D I will then be looking for a job in New Zealand so I can get the O-League wrapped up before moving onto somewhere in Africa. That's my original plan but plans can change :p

I don't anymore, that save was on my old laptop which ended up getting broke!I was gutted as well as I wasn't far off getting David Stewart to 1000 goals :( It's also the main reason why I have Northern Ireland and Wales on my save as I will be attempting to do the same in this save!

95% of the career is in Gundo's Challenge as I did type it up and keep track of it in there.I will have something similar in the future in this save as this will be last my last save untill fm12 so will need to keep it going with different challenges. The only exception would be if it crash dumps which I will then do something similar to it (Plan B!)

Tycoon never took over in Montengro.I have had a look in every other league and he hasn't took over anyone else.I was sacked by a local businessman even though I have shown him it was a mistake.

Ironically my name was bought up as a replacment for the managment position of Lokomotiv 1936 (Plovdiv) after they had a tycoon takeover but they decided to keep the current manager on!

Don't know why I haven't come across this save before. Wildly successful career so far, despite the sack. :D That sacking was just insane, I've never seen anything like it in FM. Thankfully that was on a journeyman career, imagine how ****ed off you'd be if that happened in those challenges games where you're supposed to stick to the same club for the whole career.

Thanks  I was very ****ed off for a short while anyway untill I got the job in China,if that did happen in a Challenge, I think I'd cry :D I don't know what's more insane....my sacking or Christian Gross and Ian Holloway being linked to the Real Madrid job if Mourinho doesn't sign a contract exstenstion

Link to post

I wonder if Gross can 'transform' Madrid just like he 'transformed' Spurs?! :D;)

He won't be at Madrid as he will be too busy "transforming" Arsenal! :D Mourinho has left Real Madrid though so it will be interesting to see who they get in!

Round Tree

An eventful World Cup saw Iceland reach the quarter finals with Belgium and Australia going out without losing a match.Germany and Holland went out in the group stages!Runner up Brazil actually lost to New Zealand in the group stages so were lucky to get through the group stages!

England and Spain didn't even make it to the World Cup so it was a unusual tournament for many reasons!

Link to post

That's the shocking thing rancer890.....Iceland didn't naturalize any players to get there.I have to agree about the weirdness!Hope the future ones throw up more surprises.

Spain got Pep in as manager while England hire Roberto Mancini!
