If anybody wants updates on how their club is doing, just ask and I'll post it in the same format as I have with Cray and Stocksbridge previously. I'm not going to repeat clubs on a frequent basis though and if demand is high, I'll spread them out a little. :)

Thanks Pangaea. I've edited the career summary, is that one better?

Really? It's still broken on my end. But it's a little less I think. No big deal though. I'm sure it would be broken in my thread too if/when I have to include team names.

How are FC United and Trafford doing? Any glory or gloom?

Incidentally, I go on holiday for a week on Saturday, and I'm unlikely to be playing FM before then, and may not even have time to come online again. The season will therefore be finished and posted when I'm back, and any clubs requests dealt with then.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm back from my ski trip and following a session this evening, I only have a handful of games left this season. An update should come tomorrow when I finish the season. I also have this coming week off work as well as last week when I was away, so hopefully I'll complete another season as well.

2017/8 - Hednesford Town (Conference Premier)

Board: Fight bravely

Media: 21st

Bookies: 14-1

Season tickets: 281 (up 111)

The bookies odds surprise as with no increase in the wage budget and the board blocking any new signings due to being considerably over it anyway, the season ahead is going to be difficult.

Or is it? A 0-0 draw at Northwich to kick off the season is followed by beating AFC Wimbledon 2-1 in our first home game (watched by 1061) suggests the gap between leagues might not be as big as I first feared.

Indeed, we are unbeaten in our first six games, the first defeat being a 3-1 defeat at home to fierce rivals Stafford.

After twelve games we are mid table, which I am satisfied. However, we have only lost once but drawn eight games, which is a little concern.

At the halfway stage we have drawn 16 out of the 23 games and our goals record reads 23:21. That sums the first half of the season to a tee.

The draws slip away during the third quarter of the campaign as wins feature as often as losses.

As the season draws to a clear, we are safely clear of relegation with four games to play. The squad doesn't have strength in depth though, and goals have been much harder to come by. We need either a wage budget increase or turn professional next season or things won't get any better.

Thanks, though solid and a little boring was more like it, certainly the first half of the season!

Neither turning pro nor an increase in wage budget has happened (though to be fair, the club has been in debt ever since I joined). I've turned down a one year contract extension (with a £50 per week pay rise) because of it. I'll do this season and evaluate my options after it.

Excellent consolidation in Conference Premier. Not sure you will turn pro until you hit the league unless they change it for this FM.

Sad to see Supermarine slip out of the playable divisions. Out of interest which division have they been sorted to in Level 9?

Aye, the sackings isn't the most annoying thing. A fair few of them are realistic (though I think one was sacked after a friendly loss). What isn't ideal is that some uknown head with no experience takes over many of the national teams. If it was a former player, like Lucio, I'd be fine with it. But it doesn't feel right when some unkown takes over. What about starting at the bottom, pal? :D

The third change I made, but then before the substitution actually happened, Smith got injured. When it took me to the tactics screen, I cancelled the subbing Bryan for Wallace and put Nixon on to replace Smith instead, which happened. A minute later when the ball went out of play again, the cancelled Bryan/Wallace sub also happened.

I didn't do it intentionally, I had the intention only to make the third sub.
