Nobby_McDonald
Moving up one place from where I started in just over half a season? Yeah, decent by my standards. A snippet from the new season... into December and Anton Bryan hasn't half found his shooting boots. He scored a hat-trick in consecutive games at Altrincham and Alfreton in the league, but sadly didn't become (possibly) the first player to score a hat-trick in three successive games all away from home when he 'only' scored once in a defeat at AFC Wimbledon in the FA Trophy. I haven't played the next league game yet, so a hat-trick of hat-tricks in the league is still on...

Nobby_McDonald
2015/6 - Hednesford Town (Conference North) Board: Respectable position Media: 10th Bookies: 33-1 Season tickets: 163 (down 4) A new kit sponsorship deal is signed for 5 seasons, worth £8000 per season. Also, I sign a 12 months contract extension to June 2017. A superb start sees us beat Nantwich 5-1 on opening day and the team is more consistant and stronger than last season. An embarrassing 2-1 home defeat to 21st placed Corby sparked a brief downturn. We bounce back well but then hit another poor patch. So much for our consistancy. A win at then runaway league leaders Fleetwood kicks off another strong run that continues to the end of the season. We suffer playoff heartbreak when Northwich score a 90th minute winner in the final. Nobby_McDonald
Ukraine must have done well if they won the World Cup as well as the European Championship in the same year. And that would be funny if Ireland had done so. On a more serious note, the Hednesford chairman has offered me a two year contract extension to 2019 and a pay rise (of £50) to £400 per week. It took me about a nanosecond to decide yes.

I accept. A bumper opening day crowd of 1005 see us beat Stalybridge 1-0. Goals prove to be harder to come by in the early season but despite this, we lie top after 9 games. A good run in the FA Cup comes to a halt at home to the League One leaders Blackpool, who are managed by Ryan Giggs. The scoreline did flatter the visitors. At halfway we are still top, but it's close. We are scoring more goals now and look a threat to every team we play. As the season enters the final quarter, nine teams are within nine points of each other at the top of the table. This looks like going all the way... A very wet Spring sees postponements and a fixture backlog in April - we only play one league game in the whole of March. A strong finish sees us two points clear heading into the final game at home to relegated Solihull. We win 2-0 thanks to two goals from Ryan Wallace.
